1 F u j i t s u C o m p u t e r S y s t e m s Nylon Attaché Case User s Guide FPCCC26 I N S T R U C T I O N S The Stylistic ST4000 Tablet PC attaché case is designed to provide an elegant, practical solution for using and transporting your Tablet PC, keyboard, peripheral equipment, and everyday briefcase items. Note that the attaché case is designed so that your Tablet PC can be used in landscape mode; to use it in portrait mode, you must remove it from the case. We strongly recommend that you read these instructions prior to using the attaché case with your Tablet PC.

Nylon attaché case The attaché case consists of two distinct storage areas: a main compartment consisting of a Tablet PC platform and a keyboard platform, and a storage compartment. To open the attaché, unzip the wraparound zipper and flip the case open. Unattach the Velcro strip that secures the storage compartment to the main compartment, and extend the bottom of the storage compartment so that it forms a stand for the Tablet PC. (see Figure 2). The storage compartment remains accessible from the back of the case. 2

3 Installing the Tablet PC Lift the display cover and lay it over the storage compartment to reveal the Tablet PC platform. Nylon attaché case - Empty Orient your Tablet PC so that it is in landscape position, with the battery on the left. On the back of your Tablet PC, you will notice two latch points and two alignment holes (see Figure 3). These are used to secure the system to the Tablet PC platform. 3

4 Alignment holes Latch points Figure 3. Tablet PC - rear view Support the case either by placing one hand on the back of it or lying it flat on a stable surface. Align the latch points and alignment holes on the back of your Tablet PC with the latches and alignment posts on the attaché platform. Press the system firmly until the latches click into place. Do not press directly on the display. When storing your pen tablet in the case, lay the display cover over the screen to protect it from scratches. See Figure 4 for a fully assembled system in the case. 4

Nylon Attaché Case - Full To remove the system from the attaché case, you must unlatch it using the latch handle (see Figure 5). There are several different ways to unlatch the system: Pushing the handle in towards the system Pulling the handle away from the system Pushing or pulling the handle in a clockwise direction Pushing or pulling the handle in a counter-clockwise direction As you unlatch the system with one hand, lift it off the alignment posts with the other hand. 5

Latching mechanism To install a keyboard, first peel the backing off the four Velcro pads on the keyboard platform to expose the adhesive surface. Align the keyboard so that it fits snugly against the wrist rest. Press the keyboard onto the Velcro pads. If you use a USB keyboard, route the cable through the cable straps on either side of the pen holder and connect it to the Tablet PC. 6

7 Miscellaneous information Shoulder strap: To attach the shoulder strap, open the spring-loaded clips on the end of the strap and attach them to the D-rings on either side of the attaché case (see Figure 6). Attaché Case - Front Using the Storage compartment: The storage compartment provides room for peripheral devices, business cards, writing implements, and documents. (See Figure 4 for location.) The storage compartment can be used either open or closed. When it is closed, the document holder is easily accessible. To open the storage compartment, open the flap, then unzip one or both of the zippers securing the compartment. 7

8 Using the Trolley Strap: When you travel with the attaché case, you can secure it to a piece of rolling luggage by unsnapping the trolley strap and sliding the handle of the luggage between the strap and the case. (See Figure 5.) When the case is resting on the luggage, snap the strap to secure it in place. Trolley strap Snap Caring for the attaché case: Figure 7. Attaché Case - Back The attaché case is made of rugged materials, and is designed to withstand daily use. Treat the case as you would a briefcase or purse. 8 Occasionally, the case may become soiled. To clean it, brush it with a short-bristled brush. If necessary, use a clean cloth and warm soapy water to wash the soiled area. Do not submerge the case in water.
