4 VAG LDR/ADR/ACC TOOL CLEARANCE NOTE: Wheel Alignment Systems Some VAG vehicles have radar-based cruise control options. The aiming of these systems requires a special tool to be placed in front of the vehicle while alignment sensors are mounted to the tool and the rear axle of the vehicle. The VAG LDR/ADR/ACC tool requires a specific amount of space in front of the vehicle to operate. In tight bays, it is ok to roll the vehicle back to achieve this space. Refer to the following diagrams for minimum rack to wall and LDR/ADR/ACC tool clearances. Note: HS401FMVAG and HS401WM sensor do not have supporting structure along the center of the bay, therefore they will not interfere with radar aiming. The HS401CMVAG can be rolled out of the way with the cabinet. Radar Alignment System Kit is standard with all of the VAS6292 equipment packages. The Radar Alignment System Kit is used with VAS6430 calibration bar and fixture for LDW/ADR/ACC adjustment. If upgrading an existing system to use DSP600 or HS401 Series Sensors, the Radar Alignment System Kit is a V.A.G. mandatory tool for LDW/ADR/ACC adjustment and must be ordered. Page 2 of 32
