1 Product Retirement Notice PRN # January 30, 2012 Honeywell Announces End of Life Plan for the VX7 Vehicle Mount Computer This notice serves as formal communication of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility s intent to discontinue the following product(s): VX7 This retirement notice attempts to identify all SKUs affected by the discontinuation of the VX7. It is possible that some part numbers were missed in the list provided. Honeywell reserves the right to include omitted SKUs if they are related to the products listed above, even if the SKU is not specifically listed in this notice. Those omitted SKUs are subject to the terms specified within this document. If you are unsure of a specific SKU, please contact your sales representative for clarification. To support VX7 installations, VX7 accessories will continue to be available until further notice. Due to the longevity of the product line, some of the major components have been discontinued, making it impossible for Honeywell to source the components necessary to manufacture the product. The VX7 has been replaced by the Thor and Kärv or Förj vehicle mount computers. Customers that must have a Microsoft Windows CE operating system will want to use the new Thor vehicle mount computer. Customers that desire a larger screen size will prefer the Kärv or Förj with a Microsoft Windows 7, Windows XP, or Windows Embedded Standard 2009 operating system.
