5 About the TextMap App for ipad 5 About the TextMap App for ipad With TextMap, you can easily review and annotate transcripts on your Apple ipad. Download the free TextMap app for ipad from the Apple Store and then the transcripts you want to review. Simply open the attachment on your ipad to import the case. When you are ready to update the master case with your new or edited annotations, simply them from the ipad. Opening the attachment will start the import process and prompt you to apply your updates to the master case. TextMap has no limit to the number of case users that can send annotations from their ipads. Anytime you need the most recent changes to the master case, export the changes and merge them with the changes already on the ipad. You can or export both local and SQL cases to the TextMap ipad app. If you do not have user permission to export or import data to and from the ipad, the menu items for these features will be disabled. Learn more about the export and import processes Exporting vs. Importing: The export process sends case data from the master case in TextMap to the TextMap app on your ipad. The import process applies updates to the master case that have been made on your ipad. Reviewing TextMap transcripts on your ipad involves: Downloading the TextMap app from the Apple App Store ing case data to the TextMap app ing updates and applying them to the master case TextMap will display a warning message if you do not import updates from a specific ipad in the order they were exported. Importing them in order ensures that all of the changes will be applied. See the TextMap Help in your desktop application for more information. Refer to the ipad Import Considerations table to learn how TextMap processes case updates. This table is helpful to reference when multiple users are syncing data to the same case. 10 10 TextMap App Installing the TextMap App for ipad System requirements The TextMap app must be installed and run on an Apple ipad. You must have TextMap v6.2 + installed on your desktop to export from your ipad and update the master case in the desktop application. You can download the free app from the Apple Store's Business category. The TextMap app installs as an unregistered trial copy. There is a 30-day grace period to use the TextMap app. Once the grace period expires, the TextMap app will no longer function on the ipad until you activate the license. To install the TextMap app 1. On your ipad, open the Apple Store in your Internet browser. 2. In the search bar, type TextMap and then tap Go. 3. In your search results, tap on the TextMap app.

14 14 TextMap App You can now export a case from the TextMap desktop application or tap View Sample Case to try the application with sample data. 9. A Quick Tutorial page displays, review the tutorial and then tap on the page to view the TextMap app.
