4 1 Asset purpose and goal This chapter describes the purpose and goal of the asset. A generic component to setup a simple countdown timer. Known issues: Optional parsys is only shown in author when Show parsys at the end of countdown has been set to Yes. Instead in author the optional parsys should always be shown! 2 Functionalities This chapter describes the functionalities of the asset. Set the event data + time; Optionally show a parsys at the time of the event; Select styles for numerals and labels. 3 Dialog This chapter describes the dialog options for the asset. Important: default values are marked Orange in the dialog! 3.1 General tab Author can set a component ID; Author can select the color styling; Author can set the event date + time; Author can select whether a parsys needs to be shown at the time of the event or not; Author can select the font style for numerals and labels. 3.2 Spacing tab This is a generic tab widget which needs to be included to this component as it is mandatory to add this component to content components! 4 Analytics This chapter describes the analytical requirements of the asset. Not applicable! 5 Business logic This chapter lists the business logic for the asset. Default font style for numerals = Header 2 XBold ; Default font style for numerals = Header 4 Book ; Page: 4

5 Component will use full width of parent cell; Note: if component needs to be used within the max. 960px content viewport, a GC04v3 component needs to be used! Each element (Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds) will take 25% of the available width; For labels (Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds) I18N will be used. Two I18N keys for each label e.g. 1 Day and 2 Days (singular / plural). Logic will be present to use singular or plural label; Text alignment per element: o 1 st element (Days) will be left-aligned; o 2 nd element (Hours) will be center-aligned; o 3 rd element (Minutes) will be center-aligned; o 4 th element (Seconds) will be right-aligned. 6 I18N This chapter lists the I18N site text keys in case required. This means the actual moment the countdown ends for the visitor is at the exact same date/time as configured by the author in UTC while respecting the time zone the visitor is in. Example: in case browser time zone is set to EST (Eastern Standard Time) and authored date time = 2015/06/23 18:00:00 UTC (Universal Coordinated Time), event countdown will happen at 2015/06/23 23:00:00 EST which is actually +5 hours compared to the UTC time! If Show parsys at the end of countdown has been set to Yes, when the given event date + time has been reached, a parsys which can contain additional content will be shown; Author can select font style to be applied for numerals by using the dropdown; Note: allowed font styles are listed in this document! 7 GC41 Countdown Timer General General Spacing Component ID: Not sure what is meant with RTE to target the configuration! Color styling: Event date/time: Set an ID for the component e.g. main. ID can be used for in-page navigation or by Rich-Text-Editor to target the configuration for the Event countdown timer. Default Inverted Select whether the component needs to be displayed in default or inverted color options. Select the date and time for the event (date format: mm/dd/yyyy). The given date/time will be converted to and stored in UTC (Universal Coordinated Time). Please be aware of this and add/subtract hours accordingly to your time zone! V Important: Time zone configured in browser of visitor will NOT be used to differentiate the event date/time over time zones. This means the actual moment the countdown ends for the visitor is at the exact same date/time as configured by the author in UTC while respecting the time zone the visitor is in.
