5 Introduction The Web Manager product is a best in class online solution for SMEs. It extends the concept and reach of a standalone website into the fast growing arenas of social media, local search and mobile content. Login To login to the back office of your site, go to your website and type in /siteadmin at the end of the web address, i.e. Control Panel Once logged in, you will be presented with the page below. Settings The Settings section allows you to edit/update account settings unique to your site such as password and keywords. 5

6 Settings Once within the Settings you will be able to see different modules. When making a change to any of those modules just click on Save to update your changes. Siteadmin Password Siteadmin Password allows you to change the password you use when logging in. Website Keywords You website keywords display at the bottom of your website. The business keywords should be the main key phrases for your business and the location keywords are the main areas where you operate. Business Contact Details The Business Contact Details module is used for the map in your contact page. 6

7 Add This Settings You can disable Add This so it no longer shows in your site by selecting Disable in the drop down menu. Facebook Settings You can easily remove the Facebook like button by un-ticking the box within the Facebook Settings module. Backup/Restore The Backup/Restore function allows you to create a copy of your site and to restore it from a previous version. Dashboard Your dashboard is divided in different sections. 7

8 From there you will be able to: access your messages edit/add pages to your site view your site performance access your modules Messages Your BT developer might leave you messages through the back end of your site. Those will be visible within your dashboard. My Website Performance On the right hand side of your dashboard, your website performance will display. This will help you understand the traffic you are receiving through your site. Please note the View More option takes you to the Reports page which will be discussed later on in this manual. Modules At the bottom of your dashboard page, you will find different modules. 8

9 Please note a separate training manual is available for Image Gallery, Image Rotator, Video Manager and Newsletter if purchased. 9

10 Sidebar Your website can be built using different layouts. You can have a simple content area, a sidebar on the right/left hand side of the content area or both sidebars displaying. Click on the sidebar icon to access those options. At the bottom of this page you will find the sidebar settings. Once your sidebar settings have been set, you can then place the different modules within it as you wish by dragging and dropping within the Sidebar Ordering. 10

11 My Webpages Within My Webpages, you will be able to view all the pages present on your website. You can edit, delete or create a page. You can simply change the order of your pages and creating subpages by clicking on the page you wish to move, drag and drop it at the appropriate place. You will notice some of your pages show as Fail some as Pass. Those are guidelines to optimise your page. For your page to be fully optimised it is recommended to try and pass each individual criteria. Header 1/2 exist: your page content should contain two headers Header contains a site keyword: one of your headers should contain a main keyword as shown in page 8 (within the Settings section) All images have alternative text set: your image should be described with a keyword (please refer back to page 16) 11

12 Edit a page To edit the content of one of your existing pages, just click on the applicable page. You will then be presented with the page editor as below: To add/edit content, simply click within the content area and start typing. Next is an explanation of the first line of menu options. This is the details of the second line of menu items: 12

13 A few of those options require more explanations, please see details below. Create a hyperlink Within the page editor you can create a link to another website or a link to existing pages within your site. Firstly you need to highlight the word you wish to create the link from and then click on the link icon:. The window below will pop up. Attach a document You have the possibility to also add a document to your site for website visitors to download onto their own computers. To do so, first highlight the word you wish to attach the document to (i.e. download our brochure) and click on the attach document icon: below.. You will be presented with a screen similar to 13

14 Once your file is uploaded you can insert it to your page. Add an image Before you can add an image to your page, ensure your image is saved locally on your computer, then click within the content area where you want your image to appear and go to the image icon:. At the top, you will find the image properties. 14

15 Please note once your image is uploaded, you can also create a hyperlink from your image to another website/page, by clicking on the image and follow the instructions on creating hyperlinks (page 13). 15

16 Page Options Underneath the page editor, you will find your page options. Menu Title: name of your page Page Title: This should be a specific format as follow: Name of your page Main service/product you offer Name of the business Location Search Engine Friendly URL: name of the page in lower case Page Description: one sentence to summarise/describe the content of this page Keywords: keywords/phrases relevant to your page content. Keywords/keyphrases need to be separated by a comma and a space Reports Your Reports are divided in four different sections. Analytics Analytics refer to your Website Performance (page 10). 16

17 Website Under the Website section you will find different types of statistics related to your website. Unique Visitors: unique visitors graph represents the number of unduplicated (counted only once) visitors to your website over the course of a specified time period Page Views: page views is the total number of individual pages viewed on your site and is a general measure of how much your site is used Page Visits per hour: The number of visitors to your site on each hour of the day in the specified time period Top 10 Web Browser Statistics: Top 10 Web Browsers used to display the page in specified time period Top 10 Search Words: Top 10 keywords used to search the page in specified time period Top 10 Referral Sites: Top 10 Referral Site URLs from a specified time period Top 10 Screen Resolutions: Top 10 Screen Resolutions used to display the page in specified time period Phone Under the Phone section you will find different types of statistics related to your phone line. Phone Enquiries: the number of phone enquiries on each day in specified time period Average Call Time: the average phone call duration on each day in specified time period Calls by Results: the overall call result breakdown in specified time period Top 10 Call Sources: top 10 locations of where the call originated from in specified time period Top 10 Callers by attempts: top 10 callers who tried to call in specified time period Top 10 Callers by duration of call in minutes: top 10 callers grouped according to duration of call in minutes in specified time period 17

18 Media Sharing Under the Media Sharing section you will find different types of statistics related to your Media Sharing. Number of Shares per day: graph shows how many page URLs were shared on each day in specified time period Number of Clicks per day: graph shows total traffic back to page URL from shares on each day in specified time period Number of Unique Sharers per day: graph shows how many unique users shared the page on each day in specified time period SEO Report The SEO Report section allows you to view in details what passed/failed on each of your pages (please refer back to pages 13) Changes Report The Changes Report shows what amendments were done to the website in the past 18

19 Activities The Activities tab displays the different messages that were left for you (please refer to Messages on page 9). Site Enquiries Under the Site Enquiries tab, you can view and manage any information related to your contact us page. 19

20 Form Submissions In this section you can view any queries that were sent through to you by website visitors via your contact form. Custom Fields Customs Fields allows you to add/edit the fields showing in your contact form. Settings From the Settings, you can edit the content of your contact us page. Main Settings If a query is sent through your form, you will receive an notification within your inbox (Response Address) 20

21 Map Settings Within the Map Settings, you can decide what to display in your contact page. Meta Data Within the Meta Data section, you can add keywords and a description for your contact us page. 21

22 Instruction Text Within this tab, you can add/edit the content of your contact us page which will display on the right hand side of the form. Confirmation Text Confirmation Text is the text that will display on your contact us page when site visitors send you a query through your form and first click on Next. Completed Text The Completed Text displays once site visitors who send a query through click on Next to send the message after verifying it. 22
