2 Objectives Web Site Users will be able to: Navigate through the web site to locate relevant documents and data to use for their day-to-day business needs. Demonstrate the ability to identify and access new navigational components on the redesigned website Recognize and explain changes to the website 2

4 Introduction Web Site Redesign Project What are the reasons for the web site redesign? Feedback from web site users indicated that information on the PJM website is not easy to find The training and meeting registration process is time consuming Users find it hard to determine when updates are made to the website 4

5 Introduction Web Site Redesign Project How was information for the redesign compiled? Members/Stakeholders were interviewed on their experience with the existing web site Employees were asked about their personal experiences and feedback they have received from Members Joint focus group sessions were held to capture additional information 5

External-facing departments who interact with PJM Members on a frequent basis General employee population who uses the web site to access PJM data, documents, and register for training Members who use the web site for the day-to-day business needs 6

Includes the number of matching results. Concept Provides a breakdown of what resource/document within the site provides more information the topic (ie. Manuals, FERC materials, etc.) Last Saved Date Provides a listing of items based on most recent dates (This week, month & year) File Type Provides a listing of the file type (ie. Excel, PDF, etc) 39

41 New Features RSS Feeds What are RSS (Real Simple Syndication) Feeds? RSS Feeds allows you to have updated information sent directly to you rather than having to search for it RSS Feeds are sometimes referred to as Web Feeds Examples include: Updated or new headlines/news Updated documents or information New documents or information 41

In order to receive RSS Feeds you must subscribe to an web-based RSS Reader or download Reader software Once you are subscribed to a Reader, you can subscribe to different RSS Feeds on any website which offers them The feeds you subscribe to will then show up in your Reader (all compiled in one list ) which allows for convenience 42
