Go to the login page 1, enter your username and password to log in. Log in Upon successful login, you should be redirected to the Signavio-Oryx Academic Initiative wiki. If not so, please follow this link: SignavioOryxAcademicInitiative 1
2 Get to Know Notice the toolbox on the upper right corner, it gives you direct access to wiki functionality and help. Toolbox Browse through the wiki and get a feeling for the content. We already created two main sections: Fundamentals of BPM and Business Process Modeling. The latter comprises material, related to modeling, divided into four topics: Concepts of Business Process Modeling Understand Process Models Create Process Models Analyze Process Models 2
3 Add Content In order to add content, such as exercises, select the topic that fits your material most. Exercises are inserted at the level of topics, a separate page exists for each topic. If your exercises do not fit any of these topics, add a new category to the main section Business Process Modeling or create a new section. Each exercise is supposed to be a single, self-contained piece of work. The exercise should contain all the information needed to fulfill it, including diagrams, listings, etc. Refer to the toolbox and choose add new content. This refers you to a page that contains useful advice to add new content. Add new content 3
4 If you want to add new content to a topic, navigate to the target site and choose edit from the toolbox. You are now presented with the raw wiki markup of the page, refer to the twiki help page 2 to get help on formatting your markup. Simply copy the template from the add new content page and paste it, where it fits. Change it to your needs. We suggest to provide a short description or excerpt from the exercise. document template Wiki Markup & Buttons You can preview your changes with the Preview button on the bottom, if you are pleased, choose save
5 Upload Files Each exercise should also be provided as separate, downloadable files both in MS Word and PDF format. The (MS Word) document template is also linked in the toolbox template.dot 3. Please use this template to retain consistency among the exercises. The filenames of the exercise templates should comply with our naming convention: ex<no-of-exercise>_<name_of_exercise>.<extension> Start with ex (for exercise) and the current running number of the exercise within the topic and add the title of your exercise; escape all non-ascii-characters and spaces with an underscore ( _ ). To upload your files, choose attach from the toolbox in the upper right corner. Use the upload form to upload your files. With the power of our naming convention, your file will be added at the bottom of the attachment list. This list provides you with further functions to manage your upload. attach 3 template.dot 5
6 To add the attached document to your exercise, simply right-click-copy the link from the attachments page s listing or let the wiki create the link for you. The latter is done, by using %ATTACHURL%/<filename> This will create the link for you.
