Meta Tag Description: The <meta> tag provides metadata (Metadata is data that describes other data which is there in the webpage or website) about the HTML document.

1 Meta Tag Description: The <meta> tag provides metadata (Metadata is data that describes other data which is there in the webpage or website) about the HTML document. Metadata will not be displayed on the page. Meta elements are typically used to specify page, such as: 1. Description, 2. keywords, 3. Author of the document, 4. Last modified, and other metadata. Meta tag declaration: Add metadata to your web pages by placing <meta> tags inside the header of the document which is represented by <head> and </head> tags. Meta Name description: The meta description tag is in the head-part of the source of your web-page. <meta name="description" content="text">

2 In this syntax Replace the word "text" with a short description of your web-page. Use no more than 140 characters. This short line of text will appear 1-on-1 in the search results. Create and add a different meta description tag for every page. Meta Name Keyword: The meta keyword is used for browser search engine optimization. And meta keyword is very important to put relevant and correct keywords in your meta tags in the source of your webpage. <meta name="keyword" content="text"> The most search engines will only index the first 20 words. Make sure that you put the 10 most important keywords first. Meta Name robots: <meta name="robots" content="selection">

3 The meta robots is used to tell your website in which it will be indexed, considering just the first page of your website or indexing the whole website. Meta Name revisit-after: <meta name="revisit-after" content="7 days "> Meta revisit-after tag is used for indexing the webpage and checking out whether every page is having the relevant meta tags to be added or not. The difference in spelling at the end of the tag is either you use " /> = for xml or "> = for html. Meta Name abstract: <meta name="abstract" content="text "> The meta tag abstract is used to indicate the short sentence of what the web-page is all about. So every web-page of your website gets its own abstract-tag.

4 Meta Name author: <meta name="author" content="text "> author meta tag is used to specify the actual author of the whole website or webpage which indicates the originality of the person who has built it. If used like this, it will be easy to find out the right person who is responsible for a web-page. Meta Name contact: <meta name="contact" content=" @address "> The meta tag contact is used to add an address. This can be the address of the builder of the website. Unfortunately, spam robots make use of this address to send you unsolicited (spam) . Meta Name copyright: <meta name="copyright" content="name of owner ">

5 The meta copyright is used to enhance the protection and security in the website. It does not impact the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) factor practically. Meta Name Language: <meta name="language" content="english"> The meta language tag is used to declare the language of the website or web page in which that has been indexed every time. Meta Name Viewport: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initialscale=1, minimum-scale=1, maximum-scale=1"></meta> Meta view port tag was used to give a portable layout to our website in terms of mobile view, tab view or website view and so on.
