You will be given a list of Frame Profiles to edit. Select the profile that you want create the new frame colour scheme for by either double clicking or selecting the Edit option.

You have now opened the frame profile editor. On the left, you will see a Finishes tab which you need to select.

Click the Add button below the Colour Scheme options.

The Colour Scheme editor will open. Now set the Name and Finish To Use from the drop down next to each Frame Item (Your custom colour will be available in the Standard Colours section if you have followed the Adding a Custom Frame Finish guide).

You have now successfully created a Custom Frame Colour Scheme. Adding a Custom Color Scheme to a Conservatory Color Scheme To create a conservatory colour scheme, go to the Settings tab and click on the Conservatory Systems option.

A list of the current Conservatory System that are set-up in the software will show. Select the one you want to add a colour scheme to and click the Edit option. Properties of the Conservatory will be shown in the editor. Click on the Add button below the Colours Scheme options to create a new Conservatory Colour Scheme.

In the Colour Scheme editor, fill in the name of your new Colour Scheme. Selecting the Roof and Frame Colour Scheme will populate all the appropriate components listed in the Details section (this is where you would choose your custom Roof/Frame colour scheme(s)). You will then have to go down the Details list and fill in the rest of the colours for the remaining items where applicable.

After Creating the Conservatory System Colour Scheme, you will need to restart the software for the changes to be saved. Once re-opened, the new Colour Scheme will be available in the Colour Scheme or Colours options.

Copying the RGB colour code for inputting a RAL colour If you are creating a custom Finish from one of the preexisting RAL colour in the software, then here are the steps you need to follow; First, go to Special Colours from the Settings tab. The Special Colours editor will appear.

Select the RAL colour that you want to copy for your custom finish. Double click or select Edit to open the Special Colour s properties. Once open, you will see a small box with three dots ( ) next to the colour option, click on it. The colour palette will open. Click on Define Custom Colours to expand the colour palette and it will give you the full

RGB (Red,Green and Blue colour model) values needed to copy the colour for your custom Frame Finish. Make a note of these values and go back into the Finish Editor in the Frame Profile Editor if you are creating a frame finish, or the Roof Profile Editor if you are creating a roof finish. Adding a Custom Frame Finish TIP If you are creating a Frame Finish from one of the preexisting RAL colour in the software, then here is a little tip to help you. Copying the RGB colour code for inputting a RAL colour. Start by going to the Settings tab and select the Frame Profiles option from the Frames/Couplers palette.

Select Window Profiles from the dropdown. You will be given a list of Frame Profiles to edit. Select the profile that you want create the new frame colour scheme for by either double clicking or selecting the Edit option. You have now opened the frame profile editor. On the left, you will see a Finishes tab which you need to select.

Within the Finishes tab, select the Edit palette option.

The Frame Colours/Finishes box will appear which lists all the available frame finishes. This window allows you to Edit the properties of a frame finish or, as in our case, Add a new one. Click the Add option.

You will now see the Finish editor. Fill in the properties for the finish (eg. Name, choose a colour, select a group, add a texture if needed, etc). After creating your custom finish, you will need to set it as a valid option for each Frame Item (listed in the below image). To do this, select and click Edit to open the Valid Finish Selector for each item.

Once this is open, finish in the list and click in the right hand column to set it as a valid colour (after clicking, a Tick will appear in the box next to the finish illustrated below).

When the Custom finish has been validated for all appropriate Frame Items, you can move on to creating the colour scheme. Creating a new Frame Colour Scheme (SERIES) This guide will take you through the steps needed to add your own custom Frame Colour Scheme. Its split into 2 parts below and all you have to do is click

on the headings. Also, there is an EXTRA part which shows you the next step of creating a Conservatory Colour Scheme. To get started, click on the first Part; Part 1 :- Adding a Custom Frame Finish. Part 2 :- Create a Custom Frame Colour Scheme. EXTRA Part 3 :- Adding the Frame Color Scheme to a Conservatory Color Scheme. Creating Custom Window Styles The window styles palette contains many of the most commonly used frame styles. You may wish to add your own custom styles to this palette. This short guide discusses how to create a custom frame style. Accessing the Window Profile Editor to Create a Custom Window Style 1. Click Settings > Frame Profiles > Window Styles

2. Select the frame profile that you wish to add the style to, from the available options. Click the desired profile, then click Edit 3. Once inside of the Window Profile Editor, click Styles > Add 4. Input how many modules wide and high you want your frame to be.

5. The style designer is now displayed Give the style a name/number and specify how the frame will be categorised. The frame can be put into multiple categories, e.g Casement AND Preferred. 6. Add transoms and mullions to the frame by clicking on the dashed lines, then selecting the bar specification to apply.

7. Add vents to the design, by clicking the Vents tab. Click on each aperture and select the appropriate vent type to apply.

8. Frames can be created by default with fixed size and scalable apertures. To implement this, list the aperture widths/ heights in a comma-separated list from top to bottom and left to right. A frame 2x modules high by 2x modules wide with a Width break of (600, *)and a Height break of (400,*) will be created by default with a Left hand column of 600 width and a default top row height of 400. Remaining columns and rows are variable and will be the remainder of the overall frame width/ height. Below is an example of this. Creating both a 1500wx1500h frame and a 1000w x 1800h frame results in the vertical split remaining 400mm from the top and the horizontal split 600mm from the left. 9. Close and re-open the software. Your new style should now appear in the categories you selected at stage 5, above. You can start using this new style on any of your jobs.

Editing Your Design Frames Tab

The Frames tab allows you to edit every aspect of your frame configuration. In here you can change frame style, couplers, add full height walls, downpipes and even add steps to your design. Navigating the Interface There are a few different ways of editing and viewing the frame configuration in the Frames Tab. Because everyone is different, it is up to you to figure out which view suits your way of working. By Wall View (Recommended) This view is the most liked and recommended view that can be used in the software. It s laid out in an aesthetically pleasing format making it quick and easy to navigate and make changes to all frames, walls and apertures on the design. Also, this view aims to give you a better overview of how all the frames will look when placed together.

You can also click a slope on the roof plan found to the right of the page. This will show you the corresponding frames below. All Frames View This view allow users to see all frames on the design at once (as the name suggests). It also brings the selected frame to the forefront so that you can focus on the specific properties of each individual frame or aperture.

Grid View If you re used to using our frames only or frame designer module, then you may be familiar with this view. It gives you an itemised view of all frames available to edit on the job at present. It also gives you additional functionality to add frames which are not part of the conservatory (in other words, you can add extra frames/doors for openings that may be required with the new conservatory, or you want to quote for replacing frames on the house).

Edit Section Select This will give you multiple ways of selecting or deselecting frames within a design (including select all frames on the design and select all frame on the wall ) Copy This is a great time saving tool. It gives you the ability to copy all the changes from an individual frame to all frames on a design, all frames on a the current wall, to individual frames using a click-and-drag

function or to the previous/next frame. Width Gives you the option to change the width of a frame and lets you choose which side you want the adjustment to affect. Height Simply gives you the option to change the height of an individual frame or wall. Open/Close This option allows you to close or open all the frames on the design. (Tip: this is best done in the 3D Tab as you can visually see the change and have an additional option of manually setting the opening angle of doors and windows individually). Elevation Section Divide/Equalise If you want to Equalise frames on a wall, change the frame count or align frames to the rafters (or vice versa), this is the tool you need. Raked/Gable This option becomes available when you click on any frame of a gable end. There are options to change the gable design (including custom mullion spacing options ), rake the frames full height, brick up the entire

gable end section, add a gable support beam and change the gable glazing. Steps You have the ability to customise a flight of steps or a ramp below frames on the design. This option is purely for design purposes and it is up to you to make sure that, if used, the steps meet the legal requirements. Drainpipes These can be added to any elevation of the design. It also allows you to place multiple drainpipes on a single wall. Section Section Top/Base Similar to the Frame Design tool in the 3D Tab, this option allows you to quickly edit the top and bottom of the frame. Including adding and removing transoms and openers, creating full or 3/4 height walls and adding full null or infill panels. Couplers This option allows you to add custom couplers or packers around frames. These can be configured in the software.

Swap Left When you select a frame, this allows you to swap the position of your chosen frame with the one to its left. Swap Right Same as above, apart from you swap the position of your chosen frame with the one to its right. Frame Section Change Style This houses all of the available frame styles that can be added to the design in an easy to use palette which is categorised by type. Split Frame You can use this tool to add mullions, transoms or dummy bars to any aperture on the design. It also give you an option to split a frame in to multiple frames (e.g. divide a single frame into 2 equal frames, etc). Reset Frame As the name suggests, this allows you to remove all design changes for a selected frame. Door There are quite a few options in this tool. You can quickly add different types of door including a residential door. You can also add a top light to a door,

change the height of a midrail or split panels into multiple sections (eg. split the door base panel into 2 sections). Pane Section Vent This option allows you to change any aperture into an opener. All opener types can be found in this tool (e.g. top hung, tilt-and-turn, left slider, dummy sash, etc). It also gives you options to edit the opener angle (visually) or specify it as inward opening. Glazing When you select an aperture this tool gives you options to add and edit leading, resins/bevels, Georgian/Astragal bars and Georgian arches. You can also change the glazing opacity and type. Additional Frames Section

This section is only available when in the Grid or All Frames View. As mentioned earlier, these options allow you to add extra frames/doors for openings that may be required with the new conservatory, or you want to quote for replacing frames on the house. Add Frame This will open a style palette where you can add an extra frame to the current design. It will prompt you for a location and quantity once you have chosen a style and the frame or frames will show as additional frames. Duplicate Frames As you would guess, this tool allows you to make a copy of any frame (duplicate) found on the design. This frame will be added as an additional frame (not part of the conservatory). Set Price This option allows you to set an overwritten price for any of the addition frames added to the design (excluding VAT price).
