4 2) Battle of Nested IFs vs. VLOOKUP with TRUE (or 1) Who wins? If BOTH these formulas perform the same task, which one would you prefer? To apply the shorter formula, convert human-readable slabs to Excel-readable slabs, where you: (1) Convert slab logics to pure values with (2) a logical flow of >= and (3) in ascending order Areas of Application: (1) Debtors Ageing, (2) Score Grading, (3) Date-wise (w.e.f) incentives slabs Page 4 of 21

Important Notes: (1) Use <F4> to lock Criteria_range & Sum_range (2) Maintain SAME HEIGHT of RANGES (3) SUMIFS can accept multiple criteria (127!) whereas SUMIF can accept only one (4) If cell A1 contains 21-May-2001, then the Criteria1 can be >= &A1 indicating date 21-May-2001 onwards. The operators (> < = etc.) has to be enclosed in a pair of double-quotes and concatenated (&) with the cell reference containing valid date(s). (5) AVERAGEIFS operate just like SUMIFS the meaning differs Page 7 of 21

Important Notes: (1) Use <F4> to lock Criteria_range & Sum_range (2) Maintain SAME HEIGHT of RANGES (3) COUNTIFS can accept multiple criteria (127!) whereas COUNTIF can accept only one (4) If cell A1 contains 21-May-2001, then the Criteria1 can be >= &A1 indicating date 21-May-2001 onwards.
