With six books that cover all models built since 1948, our catalogs total more than 1700 pages and contain thousands of illustrations and diagrams. ringing that same buying experience to our website has been a challenge, but through a partnership with dobe Systems, we ve done just that with our Flip-Page Catalogs. While the technology is powerful, review the following instructions. You ll be navigating like a pro in no time. Shopping with these interactive catalogs is very much like leafing through a printed catalog, except you can not only view pages but purchase parts and accessories from the same screen. Step 1. Welcome to the www. xks.com Home Page. This is your starting point. lthough there are a couple of paths to buying parts, just click on the green uy Parts button. See the yellow highlight ring in Figure 1. Navigation Tip: If you hover over the uy Parts button, a drop-down menu will deliver quick access links to the various shopping avenues. t the bottom of this list is Go To Flip-Page Catalogue Section. 2 Step 2. Clicking the green button labeled uy Parts takes you to the Shopping Home Page where you ll find a lot of shopping options. Since we re focused on the Flip-Page Catalog link for this discussion, click the UK/US flag to open the Flip-Page Directory in English. Navigation Tip: The national flags lead one to a directory in that language. While we cannot translate the entire catalogs, we have translated the directories. Click the green Shop Catalog button and the interactive EType catalog will open on your screen. If you have a Volume16 printed catalog (the cover will match the one on the site), you ll feel right at home as the printed pages match the images shown on-screen. 3 t this point, we d like to point out some features of this design. Notice the green buttons across the top of the page. They provide key functions for navigating and viewing. We encourage you to experiment a little to familiarize yourself with these features. Navigation Tip: If you want to zoom in on a specific detail or portion of the page, you can use the ZOOM IN button or simply place you cursor over the area of the page and single-click. There are four stages of zoom that provide as much as 4X enlargement. The MGNIFY RE button works like a jeweler s loupe to temporarily magnify an isolated area. The listings within the two tan vertical columns are searchable and clickable. s you hover your cursor over a line of text it will highlight green; if you click it, the pages will flip open to that selection.. horizontal scroll bar allows quick access to pages as well. If you know you want to go to page E116, for instance, simply move the bar to the right until E116-E117 appears above the center of the pages. C. To advance a single page at a time, use the green buttons at the top of the frame or you can hover over the lower corner of the page and click when the page curls up. To continue our exercise, let s go look for V-12 muffl er clamps in the Exhaust section, pages E104- E121. The yellow ellipse in the RH tan column shows where to click. Navigation Tip: The categories listed in the tan columns match the page tabs in the printed catalogs. gain, if you have a print book to refer to, simply match the tab name in the book with the category in the tan columns. 4 Navigation Tip: t any point along the way you can enter an XKs Unlimited part number in the SERCH box and click the green GO button. That will result in a display of each occurrence of the part in the catalog; select it by clicking the highlighted part. (SCROLL) (CLICK) Figure 5 Exhaust category page spread Step 5. The result of clicking the Exhaust category displays a two-page spread for pages E104-E105, the beginning of the Exhaust pages.. To get to the V-12 muffler clamps, you can use flip pages by using the advance buttons at the top or the page flipper at the bottom corner. Then browse through for the part-image you want. Give these methods a test drive.. If you have the print catalog and have found the part in advance, you ll know to go to page E116- E117. This can be accomplished by sliding the scroll bar to the right until the page spread appears, or simply single-click the page numbers E116-E117 above the scroll bar. From here it s a simple matter to locate the clamp as item #3 in the line drawing.. y placing your cursor over item three on the facing page, the part will highlight with a black box surrounding it. single click will open the Product Details Page in a new window (or tab per your browser Preferences). Step 7. The Parts Detail Page gives you all the info you need to make your buying decision. When you click the green DD TO CRT button, the screen changes to the shopping cart to confi rm the quantity selected. To return to the Flip-Page Catalog simply click on that window (or tab) to locate your next purchase. When you re fi nished shopping, follow the on-screen check-out instructions.
