3 1.0 General Information 1.1 System Overview ICAD software can be used to create two dimensional (2D) drawings and three dimensional (3D) models by using digital tools. This software is aimed mainly at electrical consulting engineers and switchboard builders and gives them the ability to accurately layout electrical switchboards and enclosures based on the Techno Modular System. The software also allows the user to generate bills of materials, prices, weights and assembly times. 2.0 System Summary 2.1 System Configuration In order to use this software your computer is required, Microsoft office 2003 or later AutoCAD 2007 or later.net framework latest version Internet connection 2.2 User Access Levels The ICAD software is open to everyone. The software allows you to layout components and to generate bills of materials. However, only registered and authorized users of the Techno Modular system will have access to prices. 2

4 3.0 Getting Started 3.1 Installation and Log in Download icad Setup In order to download the setup of this application you can visit our web site From the home page click on Resources / Software / icad, where you can download the setup to your computer. Once you visit our software page click on the icad as shown below. 3

5 Once you click on the icad you ll able to get the following page where you can request the icad setup. Fill the above information and click on the Submit button. The following message will appear for you if you ve successfully requested the set up. Once you have done the above steps you ll be able to receive the setup download link via your . Click on the Download Link as shown in your and you can download the setup by clicking on the Download setup as shown below. You need to install the latest version of the.net framework in order to install the icad setup. 4

6 Note: If you are installing icad version 2014 onwards please follow the following steps before start the installation. Go to Options by clicking on the red colour symbol on your top left corner of the window as shown below. Click on the Trusted Locations and click on the Add button in order to give the path for the setup. In here if you are using 32 bit the setup the path will be C:\Program Files\iCAD V1.X. 5

7 Note: X=version number Eg: icad V1.2. So the path will be C:\Program Files\iCAD V1.2 If you are using 64 bit the setup the path will be C:\Program Files (x86)\icad V1.X. Add the location path under Trusted Locations according to your computer as mention above and click on OK. Note: If your setup is in a different folder copy and paste the path of that folder under trusted locations. 6

8 3.1.2 Installation Step 1 To install icad on your computer, double click on the setup icon to get the ICAD setup wizard Step 2 Click on the Next button and then click on the Browse and select a location to install the software on your computer. 7

9 Step 3 Click on the Next button twice to start the installation. The installation will start as shown below. Note: The window shown above will appear automatically. Please do not cancel this update process. 8

10 Step 4 Complete the installation process by clicking on the OK button on the confirmation message as shown below. To exit, click on the Close button. Note: If you are facing issues with your internet connection please contact your network administrator in order to allow your network to access the following link. 9

11 3.1.3 System Menu Note: Once you have successfully installed the icad software it will not open automatically after the installation since it runs on the AutoCAD platform. So in order to open the icad application, open AutoCAD in your computer and the icad will come to your screen automatically as shown below. If the icad menu is not appearing, you have to go to the AutoCAD menu and click on Show icad to get the icad menu Sub Menu The following screen shows the categories and sub categories which you can select from the sub menu. 10

12 Categories Sub categories Selecting Colours Users will be able to select colours for objects from the drop down list as shown below Selecting Objects Under the Drawing Objects section you can select relevant objects as shown below Drawing Objects Select the relevant object from this list Take the mouse pointer to the drawing area and place the object 11

13 3.1.7 Operational Selection Operational section includes four sections which are Invoice, Order, Activate and Update as shown below. Operational Section Activate In order to activate the software click Activate button and fill the following information as shown below. You can register by clicking on Register & Request Activation button. 12

14 If you have received the activation key via your , you can activate the software by typing the activation key in the given area as shown below. 13

15 Invoice Non Registered Users If you are not a registered user you will not get a detailed price list. Click on INVOICE to generate the parts list and other basic information as shown below. It can take a few seconds for the details to appear. Registered Users Registered users will have the option of selecting the colour as shown below to generate the parts and price list. Click on the INVOICE button and wait for a few seconds. 14

16 Update The following window will appear automatically if there are any new product components or any updates required for existing components of the icad application. Please do not cancel this update process. 15
