2 1. Overview In doors there are many report styles which can be accessed via the Reports button. These have been designed for the purpose of generating attractive and dynamic reports for both internal and external use, including quoting, estimating, and catalogue style reporting with images. Report formats, fields, fonts, and colours can all be customised and brand aligned to match your corporate colours. Business logos and company headers can be added in to the header section to appear automatically when reports are generated. Reports can be printed or exported to many file types and can be ed directly from doors. Page 2 of 17

3 1. Report The Report main menu button allows you to see the report options for the selected report. This can include Columns choices, Pricing, and General display options. You can also change the report name that appears in the printed header by adding an alternate Report Name. Below is a list of report types available within doors including a brief description. a. 4 REPORT NAME Door Schedule Door by Products Door by Sets Door Type Spread Sheet Bill of Quantities Custom Products Area Summary Floor Summary Cover Page Project Inventory Project Catalogue Project Hardware Sets Project Kits Door Number (labels) Order Summary Product Order Project Totals Product List Product Catalogue Common Hardware Sets Common Kits Notes Batch report Custom reports DESCRIPTION reports on each project door with its list of its scheduled hardware items below displays each scheduled hardware item with a list of the doors it is assigned to below reports on each set including a list of their associated hardware items lists all door schedules reported in order of door type concisely lists all doors and the number of each hardware item in columns alongside summarises all products, their quantities, costs and details in a list with a grand total at the base reports on scheduled items within a project that have a Custom Sell Price a bill of quantities divided into project Areas including a total for each a bill of quantities divided into project Floors including a total for each project name and administration details including consultant and client contacts lists details for all hardware items in the project inventory categorised by Product Type a catalalogue style report of all hardware in the project inventory list featuring product images reports on all project hardware sets including a breakdown of their individual items reports on all project hardware kites including a breakdown of their individual items allows you to print door number labels outside of dispatching internal report providing a list of what needs to be ordered a bill of quantities separated into supplier displays the total prices for sale, cost and profit for the project lists all hardware items in the global product list categorised by Product Type a catalalogue style report of all hardware in the global product list featuring product images reports on all common hardware sets including a breakdown of their individual items reports on all common hardware kits including a breakdown of their individual items printing of project notes as added under Project Notes Editor See details below See details at the end of this section Page 4 of 17

5 b. Batch report The Batch report is a single report generated from individual report that you select which allows a single file to be generated. You can select and edit the reports for inclusion as follows: Select Batch Report from the report list To add a report to your report list click the Add button. Highlight your reports from inside the the Select Report window and click the Add button You can adjust the order that each report will appear in the batch report. To move the order, select a report in the Report list then clicking the Move down or Move up buttons To delete individual reports, highlight them in the Report list and click the Delete button. The reports and their order will be automatically saved for the next time you go into this report Page 5 of 17

6 NOTES: If the individual reports included your batch report options are changed, those changes will be included in the batch report. An alternative is to create a custom report of each individual report that you include in your batch report. Only changes to those custom reports will be reflected in the batch report. See the instructions for the Save as main menu button in this guide. To save a custom batch report, click Save as in the main menu. Add your report name and click Save. Your batch report will now be saved in the report list and will be available for use in the future for all projects. Page 6 of 17

7 2. Page The Page area on the Reports menu allows you to adjust your page settings including Paper Orientation and Paper Margins. The Use Saved Watermark check box displays the last watermark used in the Watermark area under the Print Preview menu. Page 7 of 17

8 3. User Options The User Options area on the Reports menu allows you to adjust font types, size and formatting, along with border and background colours. The Transparent button uses a black and white only colour scheme Page 8 of 17

9 4. Save As The Save As feature on the Reports menu allows you to save your report settings as a custom report. To save a custom report, click Save As, add your Report Name and click Save. The custom report will then appear in the list of reports. Page 9 of 17

10 5. Logo Header The Logo Header area is where you add your report header or company logo or format the Header Text. The Image area allows the ability to add three different header options depending on your requirements as outlined below. Header Image: This displays an image across the top of the reports and places no text in the header area. Common Company Logo: This displays the logo and also displays text in the header area. For example you could add your company name, address and contact details. User Company Logo: This displays the same format as Common Company Logo above, however each user can save their unique version. To load an image select either the; Header Image, Common Company Logo or User Company Logo option, then click Load, browse for your image, and click the Open button. To delete an image select either the Header Image, Common Company Logo or User Company Logo option, then click Clear. The Header Text area in this screen allows formatting of the font types, sizes and formatting. Page 10 of 17

12 2. Print Preview To preview your selected report prior to printing, click the Print Preview button on the reports main menu. a. Open To open a previously saved a print preview report file (.prnx) click the Open button. Browse for your file, select it and then click Open. The file will then be opened in this screen. b. Save To save a print preview report, click the Save button on the print preview menu. Browse for your file location, add your file name and click Save. This will generate a.prnx file which can be imported back into the software as above. Page 12 of 17

13 c. Print To print your report click the Print button on the print preview menu. Select your printer preferences and then click Print. d. Quick Print To print your report straight to your default printer and preferences by skipping the print confirmation screen, click the Quick Print button. e. Find To search for specific words within your reports click the Find button. Add your search text and click Find Next, and the software will take you to each of those search phases throughout the document. f. Bookmarks To bring up a document map, click the Bookmarks button. The document map will appear on the left hand side of the screen and provide a list of hyperlinked headings that take you directly to that area within the document. Page 13 of 17

14 g. First Page To go to the first page of the report, click the First Page button. h. Previous Page To go to the previous page of the report, click the Previous Page button. i. Next Page To go to the next page of the report, click the Next Page button. j. Last Page To go to the last page of the report, click the Last Page button. k. Mouse Pointer To bring up the default mouse pointer tool, click the Mouse Pointer button. This tool is useful for selecting a page prior to using the Magnifying tool. l. Hand Tool To use the hand tool instead of the mouse pointer, click the Hand Tool button. This tool is useful for grabbing a page to move position throughout the document. Page 14 of 17

15 m. Magnifier To use the magnifier tool instead of the mouse pointer, click the Magnifier button. This tool is useful for zooming into a page within the document. n. Many Pages To change the number of pages displayed in the preview screen, click the Magnifier button. o. Zoom Out To view a smaller on screen document size, click the Zoom Out button. p. Zoom To view a different on screen document size, click the Zoom button and select a size from the dropdown menu. q. Zoom In To view a larger on screen document size, click the Zoom In button. r. Page Colour To edit the background page colour of your report click the Page colour button on the print preview menu. Then select your colour from the Custom, Web safe or System palates by clicking on the relevant tab. s. Watermark To add a watermark to the background of reports click the Watermark button, select your preferences and click OK. Page 15 of 17

16 t. Export To To export your report to a range of file types, click Export to button. Browse for your file location, add your file name and click Save. u.
