1 Run Specifi by clicking on the icon on your Desktop. Note: If you are using a demo version, once the program is loaded, a message will tell you the remaining days of the evaluation period. The main screen of the PDM module of Specifi displays the Project created. Double click on it to see its plans. Double click on PL-03 RESTAURANT FIRST FLOOR. Pag. 1

2 This will open the window for the selected plan in which you can view the documents it contains. In our case, we will find the DWG file of our project. On the right side, you can see our drawing on the black screen. Double click on the new Current-01 DWG file, to open it in the CAD Environment. Pag. 2

3 Switch from model space to paper space A0 using the appropriate label at the bottom above the command line. Before setting up the print layout you should check and set the printer, paper size and plot style table. From the file menu select "Print..." and make sure you set the printer (in our case we will use the printer "DWG to PDF"), the paper size (A0) and the plot style table to use: choose Specifi color.ctb to print in color,and choose Specifi BW.ctb to print in black and white. Note: Changing the settings of the plot style table you can customize the color and line weight of the pens. You can refer to AutoCAD or Bricscad guide about how to modifty the plot style table (ctb files). Click Apply to Layout button to set the printer and adapt the margins, then press Cancel button. Click on the Layout tab of Specifi toolpalette and click the command 2D/3D views. Pag. 3

4 This command permits to insert the viewports in the layout choosing also your own frame and header. On the left side you can choose the vieport you want to insert. It s also possible to insert multiple viewport and save your own settings, typing the name of your set below and clicking the Save button. On the right you can choose the frame and header dwg file to insert with the vieport in the layout. You can add your own dwg files to the two folders. Use the button Browse folder to open the archive and insert your header and frame dwg files. The default location of the folder in which to place the DWG FILE of the squaring is: C:\Users\Public\Roaming\[User]\Specifi\CAD\Lib\frames\ The default location of the folder in which to place the DWG FILE of the scroll is: C:\Users\Public\Roaming\[User]\Specifi\CAD\Lib\heads\ [USER] = name of the person accessing the computer. Note: This path depends on the operating system installed. From the view list on the left select Single, then select Frame-A0.dwg as frame and "HEAD.dwg" (or KARTU- SCHE.dwg) as header. Check the two options Insert Frame and Insert Head and activate the two options Explode. By exploding blocks you can use the stretch command in AutoCAD to modify and adapt the frame and header to the real dimenisioni of the sheet. In the center of the form you can change the kind of viewport you want to insert: Plan Viewport Frontal Viewport Rear Viewport Left Viewport Right Viewport Isometric SE Viewport Isometric SW Viewport Isometric NW Viewport Isometric NE Viewport Camera Viewport Elevation Viewport In Details section below you can set the Viewport settings: Scale: permits to identify the viewport scale factor. Autosize: if checked, the software will calculate automatically the dimension of the vieport, based on the drawing dimension and the scale factor. Lock View: if checked, set the Viewport Display locked property to True. Some CAD commands like Zoom, Pan, etc. will be locked inside the viewport. Pag. 4

5 Select the viewpoint Plan 2D in the center and set the print scale to 1:50. View: Plan 2D Scale: 1:50 Autosize: Checked Lock View: Checked Then click the OK button to confirm. Note: depending on the point of view selected, Specifi will enable or not the possibility to choose the vieport settings. For example it is not possible to set the scale factor for the isometric views. Specif will give you a rectangle to insert in the layout sheet. Move the mouse close to the top left corner and left click to insert the plan view. Pag. 5

6 Specifi will insert the 2D plan view with a scale factor of 1:50. A label, above the view, will specify the used scaling factor. You can insert now the technical legend, clicking on the comand TECHNICAL LEGEND in Specifi Layout toolpalette. On the left you can choose which information to display in the technical legend table, divided by basic, equipment connection points and installation points (MEP). For each type of selected data Specifi will insert a column in the table. The command permits also to set some addiotional options: Technical legend Preview Technical legend options Export data to MS Excel file Pag. 6

7 Press the OK button. A preview pane allows you to view the technical dimensions of the legend within the A0 sheet. Move the mouse in the upper right corner and click the left mouse button to place the technical legend in the layout. Pag. 7
