2 Start a Class: 8 Taps Tap 1: Select the ipad Settings app. Turn on the Heart Zones Bridge Push #1: Push and hold the On/Off button until the red light flashes twice. Release the button. This is followed by flashing green and red blinks. Your Bridge is powered on. *The bridge defaults to Wi-Fi mode if previously configured to a network. When in Wi-Fi mode, the green light flashes twice per second with no red lights. Red Light 1 Green Light Tap 2: Open the list of Wi-Fi networks. Tap 3: Select the network name that was configured for WiFi mode. For Stand Alone mode select the network that starts with either WASP or WA. On/Off Button 3 2 For Stand Alone Mode Push #2: To enter Stand Alone mode push the On/Off button a second time while the red and green lights blink. Look at the front of the Bridge for a single blinking green light every second to confirm you re in Stand Alone mode. See the Set Up Guide for how to set up the Bridge to Wi-Fi mode. Tap 4: Push the Home button on your ipad. Tap the Heart Zones PE app. 4 "2

3 Tap 5: Tap on your Class for Impromptu class or Instructor name (followed by tapping on your class name). Tap 6: Tap the select icon to view the categories and class types. 6 5 Tap 7: Tap Start Session to start the timer. Tap 8: Tap OK if everything in the blue ribbon appears correct

4 Run a Class Status Display Area: Check your WiFi, Class, and Shared Sensors To view the status display, tap the Control-menu icon in the lower left corner: Control-Menu Status Display Check the Status Display menu at the beginning of class to determine that you are connected to the correct WiFi and shared sensors. This will assist in trouble shooting incase data does not appear on the screen. If you are not connected to the correct Shared Sensor Set, tap on the Shared Sensor menu and select the correct one, and tap on the check icon. Flip Tiles: Screen Tap or Blink 3.0 Push After starting your session you will see multiple screen tiles. Tiles can be flipped to show different data points. Use your finger and tap any of the on-screen tiles to flip it. Alternatively, you can flip all of the tiles at once by using the flip tile button at the bottom of the Big Board Display: Remove Absent Participants: Swipe Tile If you have a Big Board Display screen up with the timer running and you notice someone has left, or is absent from a planned class, you can then remove them from the screen without removing them from the class list or restarting the timer. Do this by swiping your finger from side to side on their tile. A Blue ribbon will then appear, hit OK. View Individual Participant: Double Tap the Desired Participant Tile If you have a Big Board Display screen up and you want to focus in on an individual in the class to view their data, on the ipad only or to access their user profile for edits, you can do so by double tapping their tile to bring up the following screen: If you are using the Blink 3.0 heart rate monitor, you have the unique ability to flip the on-screen tiles by using the power button on the Blink. Simply push and release the button to flip your individual tile. The timing on this can be finicky, if you don t get it the first time keep trying. Tap this icon to access the participant s profile Tap this icon to project this individual s screen for everyone to see on your projector or TV 4

5 Stop a Class Stop Class: Control Panel & Post-Class Ribbons To stop your current session, hit the icon in the lower left corner to bring up the Session Control Panel: Push the square stop icon, then follow the sequence of ribbon prompts: Reports: Class Summary and Individual reports The Heart Zones PE app saves data at the end of your sessions in the reports menu where they can be viewed and exported. There are two types of reports saved; a class summary report, and individual reports for each participant, listed respectively: Tap YES on the report generator to save your session data in the Reports Menu. The generator sends an individual report to every participant in class that has their address entered into their user profile: 5
