3 About This document address how to the register Tenants and Occupants, to take advantage of online Tenancy Contracts municipal services without having to visit the customer service office. Registration Requirements 1. The customer has the Ministry of Interior or Emirates ID number, or the Emirates ID card number. 2. The customer has valid mobile number registered in the system. 3. The customer owns the same mobile number that is registered for him/her in the system. Required Documents A copy of the tenant s signature, or fingerprint, as a JPG or JPEG image file. 4 Create / Update Profile for Tenants & Occupants To take advantage of online Tenancy Contracts services, you can start creating new profiles for tenants and occupants - or update their profiles if they have existing ones- through the system without having to visit Customer Service Centers. On the system Login page, click [Create/Update Tenant & Occupant Profile].. You will be taken to (Create/Update Tenant & Occupant Profile) page, where you can start creating a profile for the tenant and the occupant, or update the profile data. There are two options to search for customer data: Search by Ministry of Interior (MOI) Unified number Search by Emirates ID Card number (EID) Depending on the option selected, the required number will have to be entered in its respective field. Please enter the numbers carefully, then click on the [Search] button. If the number you are searching by is invalid; or does not match any of the records of citizens, residents, or visitors in the country, an alert message that No records found. 5 If the number you are looking for is valid, in this case there are two possibilities: 1. Create a new profile, if the customer does not have a profile already registered in the system: You will be referred to the page shown below, in which you should determine whether the profile will be created for a tenant or an occupant. For Occupants: Select [Occupant Profile]. Here, the profile will be created automatically and instantly; and a message will be shown in the page confirming if the profile has been created successfully.. For Tenants: Select [Tenant Profile]. You will be referred to the page shown below, in which a part of the registered mobile number of the customer is displayed. If the number displayed does not match the mobile number owned by the tenant, it is not possible to continue the process of creating the profile. In this case, the tenant is kindly requested bring the UAE ID card to the entity that manages the property to be rented; or visit the nearest Municipal Customer Service Center. If the number shown on the page is identical to the number owned by the tenant; then to proceed, you should enter the mobile number correctly in the respective field, after that click Create / Update Profile for Tenants & Occupants Page 5 of 9

6 [Validate mobile number] button. A Verification Code will be sent via SMS to the tenant on the specified mobile number. You will be referred next to the page shown below: Note: If the tenant has not received the Verification Code, you can resubmit it by clicking the Click here to send verification code again hyperlink. After the SMS gets received on the tenant s mobile; enter the Verification Code in the respective field, and then click [Validate code]. If the correct Verification Code is entered, you will be referred then to the page shown below: Here, the tenant s Contacts Details are specified. Please be sure to enter these details accurately and correctly. You then have to upload a copy of the tenant's signature or fingerprint - in the form of a JPG or JPEG image file. After filling out the data and uploading the attachments, click the [Register] button to finish creating the tenant profile. A page will appear showing whether the profile has been created successfully.. Create / Update Profile for Tenants & Occupants Page 6 of 9

Updating the profile, if the customer has a profile already registered in the system: The system will directly go to (Update Tenant and Occupant Profile) page that is shown below, in which a part of the registered mobile number of the customer is displayed. If this number does not match the customer's mobile number, it is not possible to continue the process of extracting the data of the registered profile to update it. In this case, the customer is kindly requested bring the UAE ID card to the entity that manages the property to be rented; or visit the nearest Municipal Customer Service Center. If the number shown on the page is identical to the number owned by the customer; then to proceed, you should enter the mobile number correctly in the respective field, after that click [Validate mobile number] button. A Verification Code will be sent via SMS to the customer on the specified mobile number. You will be referred next to the page shown below: Note: If the customer has not received the Verification Code, you can resubmit it by clicking the Click here to send verification code again hyperlink. 8 After the SMS gets received on the customer s mobile; enter the Verification Code in the respective field, and then click [Validate code]. If the correct Verification Code is entered, you will be referred then to the page shown below: Here, the customer s Contacts Details can be updated. Please be sure to enter these details accurately and correctly. You then have to upload a copy of the tenant's signature or fingerprint - in the form of a JPG or JPEG image file. After filling out the data and uploading the attachments, click the [Update] button to finish updating the tenant/occupant profile. 9 Validation Messages 1. When creating / updating Tenants Or Occupants Profiles Trying to search by Emirates ID Card number, but with an incorrect number: An alert message will appear next to the EID card number field. Please make sure to enter the number correctly. Trying to search by Ministry of Interior (MOI) Unified number, but with an incorrect number, or a number that is not matching any of the citizen, resident or visitor records in the country: An alert message that No records found. Please check the data and try again. will be shown. 2. When creating a new profile for a tenant If there is no mobile number found for the tenant, then an alert message that There is no mobile phone number found for the profile to be registered. To register the Tenant's profile, please bring the UAE ID card to the entity that manages the property to be rented or visit the nearest Municipal Customer Service Center will be shown. 3. Entering a mobile phone number that does not match the number of the registered customer, when creating or updating a profile: An alert message that Mobile number is not matching will be shown. Please make sure to enter the number correctly. 4. Entering an incorrect Verification Code (which is sent via SMS to the customer when creating or updating a profile) : An alert message that Verification code is not correct will be shown.
