Using Windows Tablet as a synchronisation server is not supported. Trio Tester Interface Option requires Trio STC Pro Logger II firmware v4.60 or later Dependencies Microsoft.Net Note: Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP, and.net is not available for Windows XP. Installation All dependencies will be automatically installed. For the download version of the installer, the dependencies will be automatically downloaded from the Microsoft download web site a high speed internet connection is recommended.

2 FASTtag is also available on CD, complete with all dependencies contact Advanced User Systems to request the CD version of the installer. Installation times Microsoft.NET Download and Installation takes minutes (please be patient). Note: Note: During installation of.net there may be a long pause (possibly 30+ minutes) where there appears to be no activity, and the screen displays "Please wait while.net configures the components. This may take several minutes". This is normal and should be allowed to complete. FASTtag - Download and Installation takes 1-5 minutes. Windows Vista Note: If you are using Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10, you will not encounter this issue. Note: If you are upgrading from a previous installation of FASTtag on Windows Vista, you will not encounter this issue. Microsoft SQL Server requires either.net 3.5 SP1 or Visual C Redistributable Package. Although unlikely, it is possible that some installations of Windows Vista may not have these features installed, causing FASTtag to close immediately after being started. To resolve this issue, install Visual C Redistributable Package, which has been included on the CD and on the download page. Workgroup Updates If you have been using the Workgroup features in the previous release of FASTtag, ensure all clients are synced prior to installing this version. Install this version to the server and all clients at the same time. When the data file is first opened, the Workgroup information will be automatically updated.

3 Known Issues Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 In some circumstances, after closing Report Designer in Windows 8 using File > Exit, the keyboard may become unresponsive while in FASTtag. The workaround to resolve this issue is to exit and restart FASTtag. In Windows 8, it is recommended to close Report Designer using the Windows Close Button (Red X button in top right corner of the Window). In Report Designer in Windows 8, previewing the report more than once will cause Report Designer and FASTtag to close. The workaround is to only use the Report Designer preview feature one time. To preview again, firstly exit Report Designer using the Windows Close Button (Red X button in top right corner of the Window), then restart Report Designer and preview the report. In Windows 8.1 previewing the report may fail on the first attempt. Duplicate Identifiers in Bulk Load Window When entering Items in the Bulk Load Window, the Options settings for Don t allow duplicate Item Identifiers at a company, and Don t allow duplicate Item Identifiers across all companies, are not respected. Abbreviation duplication in Workgroup In a Workgroup, Abbreviations may be duplicated. The duplicated entries can be safely deleted. As for all System Settings, custom Abbreviations should only be added or edited at one computer in the Workgroup.
