Prerequisites Installing CCH Central, Workflow and Reporting This release is installed using the Central Suite Installer. This ensures that all prerequisites are in place and that all the products for which you are licenced are installed in the correct sequence. 6 1. Software Enhancements CCH Central 1.1 Mail Merge Wizard Workflow integration In this release, a Document workflow that is associated with a Document Management template can be started on the documents that are created using the Mail Merge Wizard. To start a workflow on the documents created by the Mail Merge Wizard: 1. Create a Document workflow. 2. In the Document Templates screen located within File > Maintenance> Document Management > Templates, associate the Document workflow to a template. In the example below, the Document workflow Document created with Mail Merge is associated with the Monthly Fee Schedule.dotx template. If a default association type is set in the To field from the Document Templates grid, it will be displayed by default in Stage 4 of Mail Merge Wizard. 3. Click OK to save the changes and close the Document Templates screen. 4. In the Find Clients screen, select one or multiple clients. 5. Click on the button from the Tasks tab within the Ribbon. The Mail Merge Wizard is displayed. 6. Within the Stage 1 of the wizard, leave the Letters option for the Output Selection. CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

7 7. Click Next. 8. On Stage 2, select Templates From DM. 9. Select the corresponding Document Management template that has associated the Document workflow. If the selected Document Management template has a workflow associated, then a label containing the name of the workflow is displayed under the Template name search box: Workflow Document Created with Mail Merge attached to selected template. In this example, Document Created with Mail Merge is the name of the workflow that is associated with the document template. 3 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

8 10. In Stage 3 of Mail Merge Wizard, select if necessary the corresponding address(es) and/or Team Responsibility(ies), then click Next. 11. In the Selected section from Stage 4 of Mail Merge Wizard is displayed by default the association type that was set for the selected template in the To field within Document Templates screen. 9 12. In the Mail Merge Wizard - Stage 5 tick the checkboxes to confirm the selection of the clients you want the mail merge for. 13. In the Mail Merge Wizard - Stage 6 choose to save the output as multiple documents. Tick the Add to CCH Document Management check box and enter a Description to save each letter with a contact's profile in their Documents tab. 5 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

10 14. Click Finish. The mail merge document or documents opens in Word. The files are uploaded in Document Centre and the workflow associated with the Document Management template is started on the documents. 1.2 DPI setting for high resolution monitors Previously, if the size of all the items on the desktop was changed from 100% to 125%, 150% or 175% on monitors with high screen resolution like Full HD (1920X1080), the text from different screens within Central appeared truncated or was not displayed at all on the opened tabs. A new configuration key (EnableDPI), which is automatically created with the default value of False, was introduced to allow users with high screen resolution to view correctly the text in Central if the DPI size is increased. For further information regarding setting up the configuration key, please refer to the System Administration section for Central Enable DPI configuration key. 11 CCH Workflow 1.1 Undo Pass/Fail and Multi Action Central Tasks CCH Central Workflow includes the first phase of modifying running workflows by introducing a proper Undo feature. This means users can reverse not only Central Tasks but also Pass/Fail and Multi Action tasks. Unlike prior versions the Undo can now be carried out as many times as is necessary. We hope to extend this feature to allow users to add or remove steps in running workflows and make other types of amendment. Note: It should be noted that the ability to Undo and the new Undo feature applies to workflows started in or later. Users will not be able to Undo any steps for currently running workflows, i.e. those started prior to In the example below, Data Received is a Pass/Fail Central Task and was twice reversed. 12 The Undo option is not available on the task containing loop backs per the example below: In the example above, the Central Task(Multi Action) step has two choices: Central Task 2 and Central Task 3. Because Central Task 3 returns to Central Task 1 after it is completed and creates a loop, the Undo option is not available on the tasks that belong to that loop, in this example the tasks marked in blue: Central Task 1, Central Task(Multi Action), Central Task 2 and Central Task 3. Note: This functionality also applies if the loop is created with a Pass/Fail Central Task. In this version, the Undo option is not available for workflow instances started in previous versions. 13 1.2 Workflow Home Page Control Link to Assignment, Tax Return and Accounts Production In this release, new fields were added in the Workflow Homepage control, allowing users the ability to open tax returns, the Accounts Production screen, or the Assignment tab from the Client screen directly from the Workflow Homepage control. The following two fields have been added within the Workflow Homepage control and are available only for the Assignment Jobs workflows: Assignment Name Displays the name of the assignment that has the job with the workflow started and it is a link to the Client > Assignments tab. Job Name Displays the name of the job that has the workflow started. Note If the Workflow Deadline Date is overdue, then the Job Name is displayed in red. Note The Assignment Name and the Job Name are displayed by default in the Field Chooser. To add these fields in the Workflow grid, open the Field Chooser from the right click context menu and double click on the fields or drag and drop them near the other grid headers. The following field has been added within the Workflow Homepage control and it is available only for the Personal Tax workflows: Tax Year Displays the tax year and opens the corresponding Tax Return that has the workflow started. 14 Note Tax Year is available by default in the Field Chooser. To add Tax Year in the Workflow grid, open the Field Chooser from the right click context menu and double click on the field or drag and drop it near the other grid headers. The following field has been added within the Workflow Homepage control and it is available only for the Accounts Production workflows: AP Period End Displays the Accounts Production Period End date and opens the Accounts Production screen corresponding to the workflow that is started on that period. Users can also filter the Workflow grid by the AP Period End: CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

15 Note - AP Period End is available by default in the Field Chooser. To add AP Period End in the Workflow grid, open the Field Chooser from the right click context menu and double click on the field or drag and drop it near the other grid headers. The following field has been added within the Workflow Homepage control and it is available only for the Corporation Tax workflows: POA End Displays the Period of Account End date and opens the corresponding Tax Return that has the workflow started. 16 Note - POA End is available by default in the Field Chooser. To add POA End in the Workflow grid, open the Field Chooser from the right click context menu and double click on the field or drag and drop it near the other grid headers. 1.3 Convert doc to activity Send Bills from Practice Management In this release, users can bills from Practice Management to clients by using the Convert Doc to activity in a Document workflow. This functionality works for clients that are individuals and organisations. To a bill from Practice Management to a client: 1. Create a Document workflow that contains the Create doc to activity as the first step. In the example below, the first step in the workflow is Convert doc to PDF to the bill as a PDF attachment. 17 The second step from the workflow presented above is the Convert doc to activity using a template from CCH Document Management. If the task will be progresses with success, the document will be converted to and sent as attachment from the logged in employee to the client that had the workflow attached. The subject will be the subject typed in the step properties of the Convert doc to activity. The body will be the template selected in the step properties of the Convert doc to activity. Note: If the bill is ed to the associated contact of an organisation, the template used in the Convert Doc to activity will have the merge fields populated with the details of the organisation and not with the details of the associated contact. It is hoped this limitation will be addressed in a future release. To use Convert doc to activity, you need to have SMTP functionality enabled. For more information on how to set the configuration keys see Workflow: SMTP Configuration in the Hints and Tips section of the CCH Document Management Online Help. 2. After the workflow is created, go to File > Maintenance> Document Management > Workflows. 3. Select: Source: Practice Management Library: Client Type: Bill 13 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

18 Note: Select the Document Type that relates to the Document System Type: Bill. In the example above the Document Type has the same name as the Document System Type: Bill. 4. Move the corresponding workflow from the Is not available to the Is available section, then click OK to save the changes. 5. Open a client and select the Bills tab. 6. Create a new bill using the Billing Wizard or highlight an existing bill that was not filed in Document Management and click on the preview button at the bottom of the grid to preview and file the bill in Document Management. If the bill that is filed in Document Management is created on an organisation, the To field from the Properties Panel is populated with the Mailing Name of the associated contact that is selected in Stage One of the Billing Wizard: CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

19 Note: The Mailing Name of the associated contact is displayed in the FAO(For the attention of) field within Stage One of Billing Wizard and it can be edited. In the example above, the client American Express is an organisation and the associated contact is Mr Ralph Anthony. The bill that is filed in Document Centre has the To field from the Properties Panel populated with the Mailing Name of the associated contact: If the bill that is filed in Document Management is created on an individual, the To field from the Properties Panel is populated with the Mailing Name of the client. 15 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

20 When the bill is filed in Document Management, the workflow that was associated with the Source: Practice Management and Document Type: Bill starts on the client and an with the bill attached in the PDF format is sent to the client per the example workflow above. Note: Practice Management and Document Management integration must be setup and will work for sites that have Practice Management and Document Management. To read more about how to enable the functionality of filling bills into Document Management, please refer to the Appendix section for Filing Bills into Document Management. 1.4 Enhancements on the Workflow Tasks The following enhancements have been made to the workflow tasks within Tasks homepage control and To Do tab from Client and Employee screen: The workflow name is available in the Tasks grid and also in the Task dialog. The comment of a workflow task that require the selection of an employee is more specific indicating the name of the next task Workflow Name Previously, the workflow name was displayed in the subject of the workflow task within the Tasks homepage control and To Do tab from Client or Employee screen and it was difficult to read if the name was too long. In this release, the workflow name was removed from the subject of the task and is available as a new field, Workflow Name, in the Tasks homepage control and To Do tab from Client and Employee screen: Note The Workflow Name is available by default in the tasks grid and can be added in the Field Chooser like the rest of the fields from the Tasks homepage control or the tasks grid from the To Do tab within Client or Employee screen. 21 The workflow name is also displayed in the task dialog: Another view of all work outstanding by client and due date: To see this view, select the option My team tasks from the right click menu then group by client name and sort by Due Date Comment for Assignment steps In this release, the comment of a task that requires the selection of an employee is more specific, suggesting the selection of an employee. In the example below, Request Data is an assignment step in a workflow so requires the selection of an employee before it can be completed. 17 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

22 Within the task dialog, the Comment for this task is: The next task which is Request Data requires you to select an employee. Click the Assign Next User in the Actions section of the ribbon to see a list of eligible employees. 1.5 Create Document activity Word Macro Template Previously, if the template used in the Create Document activity was a Word Macro Template (*.dotm), the macro settings were not applied in the document that was created as it was always saved in the *.doc format. In this release, the functionality of the Create Document activity has been extended to deal with Word Macro Templates. If the Create Document activity has a Word Macro Template set, the created document is saved in Document Management with the *.docm format. 1.6 Update Workflow Definition In some circumstances, the steps from a workflow definition created in a previous version prior to cannot be progressed within the Workflow Home Page control. To solve this issue, a new option, Update Definition, has been added in the Workflow Tasks section within the Standard Designer, allowing users the ability to update the workflow definition if the steps from the running workflow cannot be progressed. 23 To update the workflow definition of a workflow: 1. Go to File > Maintenance > Central Workflow > Standard Workflows. 2. In the Standard Workflows screen, open the workflow definition. 3. On the Standard Designer screen, click on the Update Definition button from the Workflow Tasks section within the ribbon. 4. Click OK on the Successful Update dialog. After the workflow definition has been updated, the running workflow can be progressed with success. Users can also update workflow definitions created in Workflow Designer by selecting the Update Workflow option located under the Save option from the Tasks tab within the ribbon. 19 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

24 1.7 Configuration keys to control the number of workflow trace items In this release, practices can now decide the maximum number of rows in the trace item table and the maximum number of days the trace item records are kept. Two new configuration keys (WorkflowTraceItemMaxDays, WorkflowTraceItemMaxRows), enables practices to set the maximum number of rows in the trace item table and the maximum number of days the trace item records are kept. For further information regarding setting up the configuration keys, please refer to the System Administrator section for Workflow - Configuration keys to control the number of workflow trace items. 25 CCH Reporting 1.1 CCH Reporting DevExpress themes To improve the user experience, CCH Reporting provides in this release a variety of DevExpress themes so that users can change the look of a grid or pivot report on a click of a button. The themes are available in the Design tab > Themes section within the Ribbon when creating or editing a grid or pivot report. To set a theme on a grid or a pivot report: 1. Open an existing report or create a new report. 2. Select the Design tab from the Ribbon. 3. From the Themes section, select the desired theme. 4. Save the changes. Note The default theme on a new report or on the existing reports created prior the upgrade is Office Some of the predefined DevExpress themes that are shipped within CCH Reporting are listed below. 29 1.2 Chart integration with Pivot Grid In this release, users can generate charts for pivot reports. Pivot charts complement the pivot reports by adding visualizations to the summary data in the pivot grid and allowing users to easily see comparisons, patterns, and trends. The Charts option is available in the Advanced tab within the Report screen. To generate a chart for a pivot report: 1. Open an existing pivot report or create a new pivot report. In the example below, the report displays the charge of the WIP posted on clients for the Timesheet End Date between 01/01/2017 and 31/01/ From the Advanced tab within the Ribbon, click on the Charts button. 3. The generated chart is displayed at the bottom of the screen. 25 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

30 The chart legend is displayed in the right hand side of the chart. To remove the chart, click again on the Charts button from the Advanced tab within the Ribbon. There are two view types available for the pivot chart that determines the overall look of the chart: Side by Side: This view displays series as individual bars, grouped by category and the height of each bar is determined by the series value. In the example below, the client name and code represents the category and the charge represents the value. Stacked: This view displays all the points of its series. The height of each bar is determined by the total of all the series values for the category. CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

31 Note: - A tooltip with details about the category and the values is displayed when hovering the cursor over each bar. A pivot chart can be zoomed in to quickly analyse a subset of data by rolling the mouse wheel up through the chart or by holding down the CTRL key then pressing + or on the keyboard. A tooltip that suggests using the mouse wheel to zoom in/out, is displayed when the cursor moves over the chart: 27 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

32 The pivot chart can be exported to Excel by using the Export Chart to Excel option from the right click menu on the pivot grid: An Excel file opens with the chart: CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

33 1.3 Enhancements on the Reporting screen The following enhancements have been made on the Reporting screen: Folder icon on the Report Categories Search filter is now case insensitive Folder icon on the Report Categories To improve the user interface, a folder icon is now displayed near each section from the Report Categories and the width of the tree splitter has been increased: Search filter is case insensitive Previously, the search on the Reporting screen was case sensitive. For example, if the word schedule was entered in the Search box, the result was not returned if the report had the name Schedule starting with capital letter. In this release, the search on the Reporting screen is case insensitive so that users can use capital or lowercase letters to search the reports. 29 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

34 1.4 Enhancements on the Report screen The following enhancements have been made on the Report screen: F5 to run a report Folders are collapsed after the filter applied on fields is removed F5 to run a report In this release, users can use F5 from the keyboard to run a report. A tooltip has been added when hovering the cursor over the Run button Folders are collapsed after the filter applied on fields is removed Previously, if a search that was applied on the Available Fields section within the Report screen was removed, all the folders with the available fields remained expanded. In this release, the folders that are expanded when a search is applied on the Available Fields section within the Report screen are collapsed when the search is removed, so that the fields tree is back to the initial state. 35 1.5 Export to Excel to honour grouping Previously, if a report grouped by one or multiple fields was exported to Excel, users could view only the detailed results of that report like in the example below: In this release, the Export to Excel functionality has been extended so that it has a similar look as a Smart Report that is exported to Excel and users can view the summarized results of a report and not only the detailed results. Users can expand or collapse data in the report by selecting the plus and minus outline symbols. 31 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

36 This functionality is enabled by a new configuration key (Reporting_UseSmartReportsExportToExcel) which is automatically created with the default value of 1 upon upgrade. The existing Export to Excel functionality is still available if the configuration key(reporting_usesmartreportsexporttoexcel) is set on 0. For further information regarding setting up the configuration key, please refer to the Administration section for Reporting - Export to Excel configuration key. 1.6 Practice Management path descriptions In this release, the provider path descriptions have been renamed to always use the word Fees instead of Bills: CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

37 2. Quality Improvements CCH Central The following quality issues were resolved in CCH Central : Tasks home page does not allow re-assign from grid unless logged in as super-user Previously, users that did not belong to the Super-User security group, could not re-assign tasks within the Tasks homepage control, even though they had the security permission Task#Can Reassign selected. ITS/ A licence can be left locked for a long time when Central crashes Previously, if CCH Central crashed from various reasons, the current concurrent user license remained locked until the ClientFramework.exe process was ended. Support Centre Log Case In this release, the Details section of the Log Case screen has been updated to source the First Name, Last Name and values from the registered user s details held on the CCH Software Support website, these fields and Telephone have also been disabled from editing. This is to ensure that submitted cases are correctly linked to the contact records held within the CCH Software Support internal case logging system. If a user needs to update these details, they will need to log on to the CCH Software Support website and Update Profile accordingly. Client Code algorithm is not working properly if it contains numeric code Previously, if the Client Code Algorithm contained numeric code between other characters (for example [LN-1/2][N][N][N][N][CO-1]), the Client Code was generated correctly when creating the first client, but for the second client created the numeric code was not incremented. CCH Workflow The following quality issues were resolved in CCH Workflow : Error when saving workflow in Standard Designer that contains the Publish Document to Portal activity In the previous version, if a new workflow was created in Standard Designer and contained the Publish Document to Portal activity, the workflow could not be saved and an error message was displayed. 33 CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL 2017

38 Workflow fails if the name has leading or trailing spaces Previously, if the workflow name had leading or trailing spaces, the workflow could not be started. Clients with running Assignment Jobs workflows can be deleted Previously, a client that had running workflows started on jobs could be deleted and no warning message was displayed. Performance on the hosted Workflow Home Page control The performance on the hosted Workflow Home Page control has been improved by changing a stored procedure (WF.GetClientTeamResponsibilities) to filter the client team responsibilities for the current client and not for all client team responsibilities. Workflow Service improvements After restarting, the Workflow Service started to process workflows and it did not wait until all the processes were started and so, the trace item table/event logs were spammed with error messages. In this release, after the Workflow Service is started, there are only a small number of rows in the trace table related to start up instead of hundreds of errors. System workflows getting stuck when service restarted Previously, the System Workflows were not properly cancelled when the Workflow Service was stopped and after the Workflow Service was restarted, the System Workflows were not correctly processed. For example, if a workflow contained the Central Due Date task and the Workflow Service was stopped before the default time set for the Delay Activity Scheduler, and then started after the default time set on the Delay Activity Scheduler, the Central Due Date task was not progressed. CCH Reporting The following quality issues were resolved in CCH Reporting : Filter on reports ignores Auto Refresh Previously, if a filter was applied on a report, the search results were displayed even if Auto Refresh option was not selected. Reporting screen: Search on report names is very slow when characters are being typed in Previously, when a word was typed in the Search field from the Reporting screen, the results were displayed after several seconds or sometimes after pressing Enter from the keyboard. 39 Filter is directly saved to a report without saving the report Previously, if a new report was created and then saved without closing the report and if a filter was applied and the report was closed without saving the changes and then reopened, an SQL error message was displayed and the filter was still applied. Fee Recovery report - Duplicated WIP values if the Job does not have an employee assigned Previously, if a timesheet was created on an assignment with a job that did not had an employee assigned, the Charge field from the WIP section within Reporting was displayed with the value duplicated. Debtor or Invoice Details by Department/Partner etc - Unrelated data Previously, if a report was created with fields from Central area and money fields from Debtor or Invoice Details area, an Unrelated data message was displayed followed by an SQL generator error. Data Relationships - No relationship selected when default for all of them is 0 Previously, if the Reporting System did not found a default relationship between the selected fields in a report, a relationship was randomly ticked even though that relation was not set as default in the database. In this release, if the Reporting System does not find a default relationship between the selected fields in a report, none of the relations will be ticked by default in the Data Relationship dialog. Prevent Save operation for read-only reports Previously, if a user had permission to view a report but not to edit it or create a new report, could save the report as a new report. ITS/ Home Page: Job Sheet: Displays closed assignments where milestones are outstanding On the Job Sheet Home Page control are displayed the closed assignments with outstanding milestones. Mail Merge - Cannot add to Document Management an with HTML template If the Mail Merge Wizard is run with the Output Selection: and Source: HTML and if the Add to CCH Document Management option is selected in the last step of the wizard, the is sent to the client but it is not filed in the Document Centre. CCH Workflow Convert Doc to activity The merge fields from the template are populated with the details of the organisation instead of the associated contact When sending bills from Practice Management to the associated contact of an organisation using a workflow that contains the Convert Doc to activity, the merge fields from the template that is used in the Convert Doc to activity are not populated with the details of the associated contact but with the details of the organisation. Tasks Home Page control - Workflow name appears in the Subject if the task is progressed from the Workflow Home Page control If the workflow task is progressed from the Workflow Home Page control, the workflow name is displayed in the Subject of the task within Tasks Home Page control. Tasks Home Page control The Subject of a workflow task that requires the selection of an employee displays only the name of the task In this release, the Subject of a workflow task that requires the selection of an employee displays the name of the task instead of Select Employee. Workflow Service stopped - The same workflow can be started on the same period multiple times (Accounts Production, Personal Tax, Corporation Tax) If the Workflow Service is stopped, the same workflow can be started on the same period multiple times as it appears in the Start Workflow dialog. Undo - The [Complete] icon is displayed after the step was undone If a task is completed and then undone, the Complete icon is still displayed on the task. Undo Comments are not correctly displayed if a Central Task (Multi Action ) or a Pass/Fail Central Task is undone In the following scenario, the comment on a Pass/Fail Central Task is not displayed correctly if the step is undone multiple times: 1. Progress a Pass/Fail Central Task in a workflow and choose the Yes option. 2. Put the mouse cursor over the Completed icon. The comment is correctly displayed: Chosen Output: Pass. 3. Focus on the next step and select Undo Step from the right click context menu. 4. Complete again the step and select Fail. 5. In the Task Comments dialog enter a note then click OK. 6. Put the mouse cursor over the Completed icon. The comment is correctly displayed: Comment: (The entered comment) Fail 7. Focus on the next step and select Undo Step from the right click context menu. Result: Put the mouse cursor over the Pass/Fail task. The comment is wrong displayed: Chosen Output: Pass. Undo step - Number appears on the cog icon if a filter is applied When a filter is applied on the Workflow Home Page control, the number that should appear on a completed step that was undone is displayed on the step that is in progress. Step cannot be progressed if the name is longer than 50 characters If the name of a workflow step has more than 50 characters, the step cannot be progressed within the Workflow Home Page control. CCH Reporting Touch themes are not properly applied on grid reports (values of fields cannot be seen) The fields values are not displayed in the report if the following themes are applied on the grid reports: Office 2016 White Touch Office 2016 Black Touch Office 2016 Colorful Touch Office 2013 Touch Office 2013 Dark Gray Touch Office 2013 Light Gray Touch Pivot Chart displayed with high zoom after it is reopened When a pivot chart is zoomed in and out and then closed, the next time when is opened, the chart is displayed with a high zoom. Pivot Chart is not displayed properly when it is exported to Excel (Office 2010 and prior versions) For Office versions prior to Office 2013, the pivot chart can be exported to Excel but the chart appears in the first cell of the sheet instead of being displayed at its full size. Workaround: Drag the chart image until the chart is displayed to a proper size. F5 on another screen (Find Clients) than Report opens the filter or the data relations if the report is opened If a report that has a filter applied or a default relationship set between the selected fields is opened and if the user is focused on another screen Blinking of pivot grid when there is no data within parameters range CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

43 When a pivot report does not have any values within the parameters range and when a field is added in the Column Fields area (for example Department ), the scroll bars from the grid will start blinking, the scroll bar from the Fields can no longer be moved and the labels of fields from Row Fields area are displayed on top-left corner of the screen when hovering over them within the grid. Reporting - Linking to the wrong clients through the name hyperlink (where same first name and last name) If there are multiple clients with the same first name and last name and if a report contains the field Name, the hyperlink from the field Name always opens the first client created. Chart does not display full data for pivot reports created prior to If a pivot report was created in a CCH Reporting version prior to , the chart does not display data from the report, unless the user selects values from the grid. System Administrator 4.1 Central Enable DPI configuration key A new configuration key (EnableDPI), was introduced to allow users with high screen resolution like Full HD to view correctly the text in Central if the DPI size is increased. The configuration key is available in the ClientFrameWork.exe.config file within the Deploy folder and the default value is False. For users with high screens resolution and increased DPI size, the EnableDPI key should have the True value. To change the value of the Enable DPI configuration key: 7. Navigate to the Deploy folder (usually located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\cch ProSystem\Deploy) 8. Open the ClientFrameWork.exe.config file in Notepad. 9. Change the value of the EnableDPI key on this line <add key="enabledpi" value="false"/> from False to True. CCH CENTRAL, WORKFLOW AND REPORTING APRIL

45 4.2 Workflow - Configuration keys to control the number of workflow trace items A new configuration key, which is automatically created with the default value of 0 upon upgrade, enable practices to set the maximum number of days the trace item records are kept within the WF.TraceItem table under File > Maintenance > User Defined > Configuration. Key Value Comments WorkflowTraceItemMaxDays 0 0 means the records are not deleted due to age. WorkflowTraceItemMaxDays 1 or any other value Set the maximum number of days the trace item records are kept. A new configuration key, which is automatically created with the default value of 1000 upon upgrade, enable practices to set the maximum number of rows in the trace item table (WF.TraceItem) under File > Maintenance > User Defined > Configuration. Key Value Comments WorkflowTraceItemMaxRows 0 0 means the records are not deleted due to the number of records. WorkflowTraceItemMaxRows 1000 Set the maximum number of rows in the trace item table. The configuration keys can be used in combination. For example, if the WorkflowTraceItemMaxDays=10 and the WorkflowTraceItemMaxRows=10,000 then all records older than 10 days will be deleted and only the top 10,000 rows are kept in the trace item table. Note - The Key values being set to 0 or not present, means the table will not be limited by date or row counts. Exit out of CCH Central once the Key Name and Key Value has been entered.
