3 Step By Step Instructions 1 - Select Your Language You can choose almost every language available. Note that this is only the Installation Language and that Shutti DeTOP is in English. 2 - If you have not installed.net Framework 3< This screen only pops up if you have not installed.net Framework 3.5 or higher When you click the Yes button you will be redirected to the Microsoft Download page. 3-19

4 3 - Welcome Screen This is the first screen of the installer with a few recommendations before the installation. 4-19

5 4 - Choose the Install Location Unlike earlier version you can choose your own Install Location for Shutti DeTOP You can browse you folders by clicking the Browse... Button 5-19

6 5 - Start Menu Shortcuts It is not recommend that you do not create these shortcuts: It will be hard for you to find the Icon configuration file without an easy redirect in your Start Menu. 6-19

7 6 - Ready to Install A Quick overview of what will be installed. When you are ready click Install 7-19

8 7 - Installation The installation of Shutti DeTOP will only take a few seconds. Do not close the installer. 8-19

9 8 - Installation Done When the installation is done, you will be able to Launch Shutti DeTOP Icon Configuration. It is ESSENTIAL that you run this program in order to use Shutti Desktop Edition! 9-19

10 Icon Configuration After the installation you will have to configure where you want to put your icons You can choose to put it on your Desktop and in your Documents Folder. All the actions will be also available in the Start Menu ) Each action has its own icon 2) If you click the Info Link under an action name, a manual will open 3) Check the box if you want a shortcut on that place (Desktop / Documents) 4) If you want to restore the defaults press this button 5) When you are ready click the Update Shortcuts button, Unchecked shortcuts will be deleted and checked shortcuts will be made 6) You can update the Shutti Software by clicking the Software Update button

11 Actions Shutti Engine All Actions are performed by the improved version of SHWindows (now 4). Shutti Engine is Safer and Faster then the normal Windows Shutdown. Actions Descriptions Energy use is 100% when normal (Monitor Inc.) Monitor uses 60% Shutdown Icon Name: Shutti - Shutdown Description: This action will shutdown your system. Energy use: 0% Restart Icon Name: Shutti - Restart Description: This action will shutdown and restart your system. Energy use: 110% (Startup boost) 11-19

12 Switch User Icon Name: Shutti - Switch User Description: This action will Log off your Windows account without affecting tasks (password will be required for login). Energy use: 100% Log Off Icon Name: Shutti - Log off Description: This action will log off your Windows account. Energy use: 100% Hibernate Icon Name: Shutti - Hibernate Description: This action will shutdown your system, but it will save all your actions, so when you restart your system it will be like you left it. Energy use: 0% 12-19

13 Stand By Icon Name: Shutti - Stand By Description: This action will power off your system but will still use some energy for a quick startup. Energy use: 15% Monitor On Icon Name: Shutti - Monitor On Description: This action will turn your Monitor on (For developers) Energy use: 60% (100% computer Inc.) Monitor Off Icon Name: Shutti - Monitor Off Description: This action will turn your monitor off without affecting tasks (Shutti GreenMoni Engine) Energy use: 30% 13-19

14 About This Version The differences It all started with the little program that copied four icons on your desktop. The first Shutti Shutdown Engine was made. After a few improvements we came up with the new Shutti Desktop Edition v1.3, using the new Shutti Active Component. Now we added the feature for you to choose your own icons and place and we created the perfect engine for that. Update this version NOTE: All updates, patches and installers are on two servers. It can be that one of these servers is offline. This can cause that Shutti Updater will not work (correctly). In that case you can still download all updates from Softpedia and the official site of Shutti

15 1 - Start Shutti Updater Make sure you got internet connection and start Shutti Updater. (Use the link in Start Menu) Every time you start Shutti Updater, it will update his Software List. When the updating is finished You will be able to download the Shutti update (If there is any) When you click the Information link the manual of the update will open

16 2 - Download the Update Please wait while Shutti updater is downloading the update. (This can take a few minutes) You can see that download size /and update name in the panel above the three buttons. When you are finished downloading the update, you will be able to install the update. (See the manual for information) 16-19

17 Develop with Shutti Engine How does it work? SHWindows 4 is a program that works like the normal Windows Shutdown.exe. You only have to open the file with a command line argument.
