Installation Notes You only need to install Feature Pack 2. o Feature Pack 2 completely replaces Feature Pack 1. o Feature Pack 2 includes all bug fixes and enhancements included in Feature Pack 1 and bundles them with the 3.0 HotFixes listed above into a single CAB file. o Some HotFixes that were included in the original Feature Pack 1 have been superseded by newer HotFixes; the newer ones are installed as part of Feature Pack 2. Feature Pack 2 must be installed as a standalone upgrade. Do not install Feature Pack 2 as part of a composite upgrade with any other components. Contents Feature Pack 2 includes the following: Feature Pack 1: o For details, see the 3.0 Feature Pack 1 Release Notes. 3.0 HF 33: o Fixes an issue where the delivery of cascading voice message notifications is delayed intermittently. (WA-1801) 3.0 HF 34: o Fixes an issue where digits entered on a Gigabit SIP phone by the user while listening to voic prompts are not always recognized. (SIP-4093) 3.0 HF 37: o Adds platform support to fix an issue where end users require local administrator rights in order to run the TAPI Service Provider, which may be a security concern. (PLTFRM-8190) 3.0 HF 38: o Fixes an issue where an analog phone user was not able to use Centrex features as expected after dialing flash *80 to inject a Centrex flash on the line. (PLTFRM-8189) HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
3.0 HF 41: o Fixes an issue where analog station cards do not detect flash times less than 300 ms. This issue affects EU countries (for example, the default flash time in the UK is 50 ms) that prevents users from putting calls on hold from analog phones. (PLTFRM-8238) 3.0 HF 42: o Flushes upgrade logs to disk more frequently so that a more complete set of logs is available if a problem occurs with an upgrade. (BR-1773) 3.0 HF 46: o Modified DSP start-up code in SurfCd.sys to be more tolerant of start-up anomalies so that good DSPs aren't taken out of service. Also added code in SurfCd.sys to accept messages from other DSP drivers about channel issues. This new mechanism allows for recovery if multiple channels on a DSP become inoperable. Rsc4Dsp was updated to send channel issue messages to SurfCd if Wave channels become inoperable. (SIP-4181) 3.0 HF 52: o Fixes the embedded ISC firmware to prevent a problem that could lead to a Wave system crash. (PLTFRM-8381) 3.0 HF 54: o Installs a SQL script that you can use to force fax resources to the media resource module (MRM), instead of the Wave Server base unit. (GA-7161) Warning: Do not run this script until you determine that there is an enabled MRM installed on the target system. If you run the script on a system without an MRM, you will not be able to configure Fax resources via Resource Management in the Global Administrator Management Console. HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
The SQL statement that must be run by the script is: UPDATE ResourceAppID SET DSPType = '57' WHERE AppId = HF 58: o Changes the Global Administrator Management Console login process to support the ability to pass user credentials through URL parameters and automatic login. (GA-7195) 3.0 HF 66: o Fixes an issue where users intermittently experience long delays trying to access their voic via a phone. (GA-7241) 3.0 HF 68: o Fixes an issue where PbxDba.exe crashes during service shutdown, but does not impact system performance. (GA- 7245) 3.0 HF 73: o Fixes an issue where a digital phone is not paged due to a held or held-ringback call on a secondary line appearance. (SIP-4331) 3.0 HF 75: o Fixes an issue when TAPI ports do not initialize correctly during a reboot. When TAPI ports are not properly initialized, applications that use these ports, such as Call Navigator, do not operate. (GA-7311) 3.0 HF 84: o Fax calls now terminate more quickly, fixing an issue where inbound fax calls received a busy signal because Fax Manager had not yet completely disconnected from a previous fax call. (PLTFRM-8881) o Fixes an intermittent SurfFm crash while processing the end of a fax. (PLTFRM-8882) o Fixes an intermittent SurfFm crash due to a synchronization issue. (PLTFRM-8893) HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
3.0 HF 85: o The Wave System stopped sending OPTION messages after 49 days. (SIP-4388) o DIO Message Leak errors occur on a busy server with heavy SIP usage. (SIP-4391) o No ringback tone when using the Edge5000 over the SpeakUp SIP trunk found in 3.0. (SIP-4417) 3.0 HF 90: o Fixes an issue where Push notifications for ios stop working due to an expired push notification certificate. (WA-2116) 3.0 HF 91: o Fixes an issue where Prompt playback performance degrades significantly with 20 or more trunks playing concatenated prompts. (PLTFRM-8961) 3.0 HF 95: o IMSAdapter detects a 'bogus' change to the Domain that is not being made thru IP Network Settings so that xmpp.domain is changed from the Fully Qualified Domain Name to the VAM IP and results in breaking IM. (WA-2062) 3.0 HF 99: o The Chassis View applet shows incorrect LED states for the analog universal module (AUM) and analog trunk module (ATM), instead of matching the correct LED states displayed on the modules themselves. (PLTFRM-8486) o Analog trunks sometimes fail to come into service. (PLTFRM- 8841) 3.0 HF 101: o Fixes a DSP startup failure caused by a memory allocation failure associated with the Surf device object. Also, incorporates DSP error logging enhancements that were added in Wave 4.0 to allow for better tracking when DSP issues occur in the field. (SIP-4398) HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
3.0 HF 110: o Installs Surf DSP firmware version This is the same version installed with Wave 4.0 (base release). (TM-60) 3.0 HF 112: o Resolves Windows crashes ( blue screening ) reported at customer sites. These crashes have now been corrected for T1 trunks configured to use FDL and icom traffic for FALC. (TM-62, GW-85) 3.0 HF 113: o Fixes an issue where some Wave database updates are not sent to a user s ViewPoint or phone as expected. (CR-161) This could result in personal status changes not updating in ViewPoint, or a phone s message waiting indicator not updating when a new voice message is delivered. Wave now logs these events, as well as any associated warnings or error messages, to the following location, which may be useful for troubleshooting purposes. Program Files\Artisoft\TeleVantage Server\Logs\TvDBPush.txt 3.0 HF 114: o Fixes an issue where some components are not successfully installed during a system upgrade. As a result, users are not able to run the User/Group Management applet from the Global Administrator Management Console. (CR-173) o Fixes an issue where an installation fails on a Wave Server with an ISC3A installed. (BR-1918) 3.0 HF 117: o Fixes an issue with local file creation that could occur after a user changes his or her Out-of-Office greeting. Eventually, all available disk-space was used up by temp files on all 8 WaveNet nodes. (WA-2186) o Fixes a WaveNet exception caused when the system couldn t find the System.Security.Cryptography file specified. (WA-2126) HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
o Fixes an issue where changes to a user name could cause IM to stop working over WaveNet, although IM still works to/from the user on the local Wave Server. (WA-2098) 3.0 HF 118: o Fixes an issue where the ViewPoint Call Monitor shows a negative duration for a call. (VPDEV-8780) o Fixes a specific instance of an IndexOutOfRange exception when merging a data row in the Wave database. (VPDEV- 8781) o Fixes an exception that occurs in the ViewPoint Queue Statistics view, caused by an in-memory data corruption issue. (VPDEV-8782) Additional diagnostic code has been added to log data to locate the problem should it recur. o Fixes an issue where IM presence is lost if a user changes his or her password via ViewPoint; IM presence is not lost if the password is changed via User/Group Management in the Global Administrator Management Console. (VPDEV-8689) 3.0 HF 119: o A virtual user could get the same station ID as a gateway user. (GA-7606) o WaveNet would not be notified of a new message if the mailbox of the last recipient was full. (GA-7530) 3.0 HF 120: o Database initialization is now delayed when an imminent system reboot may occur to update hardware and network settings, in order to prevent possible database corruption and failure of services to function properly. (GW-104) o Fixes an issue where, during a Wave 3.0 upgrade, Global Manager reported that the upgrade was successful when in fact the upgrade failed. (BR-1923) o Fixes several related errors where, during a Wave 3.0 upgrade, not all embedded files are upgraded successfully, or the upgrade crashes. (FDN-2727, FDN-2775, FDN-2789) HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
3.0 HF 122: o Fixes an issue where a digital phone LED button does not light up when a call is received. This problem has been observed with the Primary Line and Outside Line buttons. (GW-105) 3.0 HF 123: o Fixes an issue with ViewPoint call rules when the action offer call to me, even if I am not taking calls is selected. When this problem occurs, all calls go to voic instead of ringing the phone as expected. (CR-207) Note: The alpha-numeric identifier in parentheses refers to the related entry in the Vertical issue-tracking database. HOTFIX RELEASE NOTES November
