3 Administrator Responsibilities Administrators of this tool may have access to any or all of the features listed in this guide. If you do not have access to a function described in this document, please speak with your LexisNexis Sales Representative so that increased access can be provided. Signing On 1. Go to to access the LexisNexis FastData Web Login page. 2. Enter your Client Number, User ID, and Password. 3. Click Logon. 4 Terms of Service and Permissible Purpose 4. Select GLBA (Gramm-Leach- Bliley Act) permissible use. 5. Select DPPA (Driver s Privacy Protection Act) permissible use. By selecting a permissible use, you certify that the data returned to you will be used only for the purposes chosen. 5 Profile Configuration System (PCS) Tool Overview The PCS tool provides the administrative functionality for LexisNexis FastData Web. You can access the tool via the Go to PCS button in the upper right corner of the main screen. Use PCS to access tools to set preferences, access administrative features, and sign out securely. The PCS tool allows administrators to perform the following functions: Create New User IDs Edit/Suspend User IDs Update IP restrictions for an account Enable/Disable available searches on an account LexisNexis FastData Web Administrator s Guide 5

6 Manage Users Creating New Users Follow the steps below to create a new user. 1. Click the Go to PCS button at the top of the Main Menu. 2. Click the New User link on the Manage Users screen. LexisNexis FastData Web Administrator s Guide 6

8 Editing Users The Manage Users function allows for the editing and managing of existing user profiles. Use it to edit profile information including address and password, and suspend/unsuspend user privileges. Follow the steps below to edit an existing user s profile. 1. Click the Go to PCS button at the top of the Main Menu. The Manage Users screen appears. 2. Locate the desired user by inputting as much information into the search fields as you know. 3. Click Search. A list of users matching the criteria you entered appears beneath the User Search area. LexisNexis FastData Web Administrator s Guide 8

9 4. Click on the desired User Name listed in the User Name column. That user s profile displays. 5. Edit the information as needed. 6. Select the radio buttons associated with the desired suspension and administrator statuses. 7. Click Update to commit changes. LexisNexis FastData Web Administrator s Guide 9

10 Updating IP Addresses Within the IP Restrictions tab, you can add or delete valid IP masks for user access. Note: IP settings are at the account level and not user specific. To begin adding or deleting an IP address, click the IP Restrictions tab. o To add: Enter a Mask or Range and click the Add button. Note: Wildcard digits such as * are not recognized. o To delete: Click the Delete button associated with the IP Address you want to remove. LexisNexis FastData Web Administrator s Guide 10

11 Enabling/Disabling Searches The Searches tab provides control over which searches may be accessed within an account. To begin adding or deleting searches, click the Searches tab. A list of Searches appears along with toggle controls. o Select On to allow the search to appear to users o Select Off to keep the search from appearing o Click the Save button at the bottom of the list to commit changes Note: All settings are at the account level.
