3 Introduction / Warnings Before attempting to program the NEC SV8100 s, please ensure you take a back up of the Configuration of Each System you wish connect via KCCIS. Each NEC SV8100 WILL need to be rebooted during programming, please make sure the customer is aware before programming. You will require: 1) CP00 2) IPL A/B on each system that is going to be connected via KCCIS 3) IP Trunk License (s) 1x per concurrent phone call, required on each system, i.e. You wish to be able to have 5 concurrent calls between systems, this means if you are connecting 2 NEC SV8100 s together via KCCIS you will need 2x 5 IP Trunk Licenses This Guide Assumes that you have read the above and that ALL SV8100 s can communicate / see each other i.e. you can ping each system from each site. 4 Programming Step 1: Load Licenses onto Each System: To check licenses have been loaded, download the configuration and disconnect: Tools > Reports > Feature Activation Click ok This should now open an internet browser, scroll down until you find: 5012 K-CCIS over IP 5 On Unlimited If you see this then the licenses have been loaded successfully, please ensure this is done on each site. 5 In Wizard (Easy Edit) (PRG & PRG ) Advanced Items > VoIP > Networking > K-CCIS > K-CCIS Setup > KCCIS Assignment: IP Trunk Availability = Tick IP Trunk Port Count = 8 (Based on having 5 Licenses, goes up in ports of 4) Click Apply If you get the following window: Click Yes, this will move the SIP Trunk Ports so that it is a continuous range, please note you will need to adjust the programming for the SIP trunks. Each Codec has different voice quality s and compression properties. To choose the best choice of Codec, it will need to be based on: 1) Available bandwidth between sites 2) The amount of concurrent calls 3) The voice quality required Roughly speaking and with good network conditions the following Codec s are Available for K-CISS (Bandwidth below is for speech in one direction) 1) G Kbps MOS 4.4 2) G Kbps MOS 4.4 3) G Kbps MOS 4.2 4) ilbc 13.33Kbps MOS 4.1 5) G.729 8Kbps MOS 4.0 6) G Kbps MOS 3.9 G.711 Voice Activity Detection = Tick Audio Capability 1 st Priority = G.711_PT Audio Capability 2 nd Priority = G.723_PT To Enable G.723 set PRG from Default to G.723/iLBC Created by Lee Harmer Version 1.0 Page 12 of 19

19 In Wizard (Easy Edit) (PRG , , , & ) Advanced Items > VoIP > Networking > K-CCIS > K-CCIS Misc Link Reconnect = Ticked (This will drop the redundant K-CCIS Line if the call is transferred back to the originating system) Centralized Day/Night Switching (For Message Receiver Side) = Ticked (Default) (this allows the system to receive messages to change modes of service) CCIS Office Code = BLANK Maximum Hop Count = 5 (Default). This is the maximum number of hops (tandem systems) a call that is forwarded (Call Forward All Calls) can make. If the destination is via a 6 th hop it will stay and ring the Extension at hop 5.
