LOGGING INTO THE SIMULATOR To log into the simulator you must have an internet connection and enter the and password you used to register with Bkool.com, meaning you must first create an account at Bkool.com. If you check the Remember me option, you will only need to click Enter the next time you log in. The simulator can have several users. Remember to have the ANT+ connected. 3.1.1 SESSION DETAILS This will show you all

the types of opponents, and access spectator

5 3.1.1 SESSION DETAILS This will show you all the details on the session. You can view the profile, see part of the video or map, see the views that are available and the types of opponents, and access spectator mode (see Section 15 for spectator mode). Bkool Simulator Manual v1 Page 5

There are two ways to detect the active devices: automatic and manual. 4.1. AUTOMATIC. The simulator automatically detects the trainer, cadence sensor and heart rate monitor.

6 3.2 FILTER You can filter sessions by type to more quickly locate a session. 1. Distance or time. 2. Difficulty levels. 4. PAIRING DEVICES To offer you a better user experience, your simulator has to be paired to your workout by connecting (pairing) it to the trainer and your heart rate monitor (usually a chest strap). There are two ways to detect the active devices: automatic and manual AUTOMATIC. The simulator automatically detects the trainer, cadence sensor and heart rate monitor. You will know they have been detected when they are shown in green at the bottom right of the main screen MANUAL. If you have several devices of the same type to choose from, you can pair devices manually from the simulator s Settings screen, accessible at the top right of the main screen. 7 5. SETTINGS You can access the simulator s settings at the top right of the main screen. From here you can select the language, vary the video or 3D quality, enter your Spotify account, and access other simulator options. Bkool Simulator Manual v1 Page 7

8 6. SESSION TYPES Simulator sessions are grouped by type, which will make it easier to locate them LIVE. Those sessions with at least one active user at the moment. When you open or join a live session, this will be shown to all other users in this session type SCHEDULED. Sessions scheduled by you on the website (link to help 2.4.Scheduled) 6.3. FAVORITES. Those indicated as favorites on the website (link to help 2.5.Favorites) 6.4. LATEST VIDEOS. Created by the community or by Bkool LATEST. The latest created by you FRIENDS. The latest created by your friends LEAGUES. Sessions from the leagues of the groups you have joined GROUP. Sessions from the groups you have joined PLAN. TIMED SESSIONS Timed sessions, instead of showing a profile, show the different timed segments that make up the session. Positions are determined by the distance traveled. 1. 12 8.2 DISPLAYING DATA The data are shown on the bar at the bottom. During a session you can select between the three data display modes by pressing the up or down arrow key or swiping up and down on a tablet. Bkool Simulator Manual v1 Page 12

13 9. SPLITS You can record splits during a session by pressing the Enter key. 10. WARMING UP AND COOLING DOWN Sessions include a 10-minute warm-up at the beginning. You can stop the warm-up and start the countdown clock by simply stopping pedaling. At the end of a session you can do a three-minute cool down. If you stop pedaling the session will end. 11. SAVING OR DELETING A SESSION At the end of a session you can save it or delete it. If you save it you will be able to analyze the data from the session in the Bkool.com History section. If you delete it, no data will be saved VOICE CHAT During sessions you can communicate with riders who are on the route within 50 meters of you. You don t need to do anything. If you have a microphone simply speak into it and users within that range will hear you. IMPORTANT: You will also be able to hear them. If you don t want to be heard, turn off this feature in the session settings. 13. SPOTIFY You can listen to your Spotify playlists during a session by entering your Spotify username and password in the simulator settings. 15. SPECTATOR MODE This mode lets you watch a session. You will be able to track its human participants (but not the bots) and cheer them on. Bkool isn t all about sweating!

You can also have fun seeing how your friends train You can access spectator mode for any Live session from the session card by clicking on Details and Watch. 1. Spectator icon. 2. Human riders. 3. Send message. 4. Notifications. To select spectator mode, click the spectator icon (eye icon located at the top right). A number atop this icon indicates how many people are watching a session. When you select spectator mode, a bar will drop down showing the riders and a box for you to write messages in. To follow a rider or send a message, click on the rider s name shown in the bar. Your message will be shown on the screen of the rider you select. If you don t want to see messages during your session, simply activate Individual Mode in the simulator settings before starting a session. Views are changed just like during a session. 16 16. WHAT TO DO IF 16.1 THE SIMULATOR SAYS I NEED A USB ANT+ Make sure it is connected to your device. It is connected but I keep getting the same message. Do you have a Garmin Express or Agent program on your computer (or any other software that uses ANT+ technology, such as Adidas MyCoach, etc.)? Uninstall Garmin Express (it is incompatible with our simulator) and try stopping all other Garmin programs and processes on your computer (Windows: Task Manager >> Processes/Apps // MAC: Activity Monitor >> CPU >> Process Name). Make sure also that you are not using the Garmin USB ANT+. Using Bkool Indoor with the Garmin Agent running can create conflicts between the two programs. If you are still having problems, there could be a conflict between the COM ports on your computer. Try a different USB port or go into the Device Manager. In LibUSB you will see ANT USB Stick 2. Right click on it and uninstall it. Remove and reinsert the USB to reinstall the ANT USB. You can also try to restart the computer after uninstalling the USB ANT SESSIONS ARE NOT UPLOADED TO MY HISTORY A firewall or antivirus could be hampering communications between your computer and the server. Try setting up an exception for our program (BSim2.exe) in your anti-virus/firewall, or temporarily deactivate them. If the antivirus is free, you can simply uninstall it and install a different one later I CAN T ACCESS THE SIMULATOR See above concerning the firewall or antivirus. You must have an internet connection to log into the simulator and start a session. You can finish a session if you lose your connection, but you can t start a session without a connection THE SIMULATOR SLOWS DOWN OR LOCKS UP DURING A SESSION The high-definition display depends on the device s characteristics. If the simulator slows down or locks up during a session, lower the quality or deactivate the video and 3D from the settings. You can check the simulator s system requirements here.
