4 1. Foreword 1.1. Preconditions The precondition of the contents of this operation manual is that initial settings and operation confirmation using the Installation Manual is complete Terminology What is Alarm? Alarm is a function that notifies the user when preset conditions are met. For example, this allows setting "sending a notification by pop-up and when the target voltage for A1 has been set to 4.0 kv or more." Functions relating to Alarm are divided within the system as shown in the table below. Table 1-1 Alarm functions divided within the system Functions relating to Alarm Sets the alarm Prompts the alarm according to the definition Notifies the user of the current alarm Displays the description of the current alarm Displays alarm history application that plays the role of functioning Configurator Monitor Monitor Monitor LogViewer What is AddUp? AddUp is a function that counts the total hours when preset conditions are met. For example, this allows setting "counting up the total hours when V1 was open." Functions relating to AddUp are divided within the system as shown in the table below. 5 What is log folder for reporting? LogViewer has a function to output the displayed log, and the description can be displayed using a different LogViewer. When outputting, a folder containing the log contents is created, and in this Manual this folder is called the log folder for reporting. For example, compressing a log folder for reporting and sending it as an attachment to an enables log analysis using LogViewer by a service staff at a remote location. 5 Copyright SYSTEM IN FRONTIER INC.
6 2. Operation 2.1. Start-up There are three ways for start-up as shown in the following table. Table 2-1 Start-up method Start-up method Figure 2-1 LogViewer button on the main screen Description The LogViewer will start in a state displaying the contents of the folder set in the Monitor log storage location. Use this method to start in order to display the contents of the log folder being recorded by the Monitor of the same PC. Click the LogViewer button on the Monitor main screen (Refer to the Monitor operation manual) Figure 2-2 LogViewer shortcut on the desktop The LogViewer will start in an empty state (no contents of any folder are displayed). Use this method to start in order to display the contents of the log folder being recorded by the Monitor of another PC. Next, execute "2.2 Displaying the log folder contents." Double-click the shortcut The LogViewer will start in a state displaying the contents of the dragged & dropped log folder. Use this method to start in order to display the contents of the "log folder for reporting" described later. Figure 2-3 Dragging & dropping the log folder on the shortcut Drag and drop the log folder on the shortcut on the desktop Caution Do not drag & drop the folder that is set as a log storage location for Monitor. 7 The main screen will be displayed when started. Figure 2-4 Main screen 2.2. Displaying the log folder contents This procedure is necessary only when started by "double-clicking the shortcut on the desktop." Click the "File" on the upper part of the main screen. 8 2.3. Listing the parameter graphs by group Figure 2-7 "Summary" tab in the HistoryGraph tab Select the "Summary" tab in the "History Graph" tab on the main screen. 10 2.4. Viewing a detailed graph Figure 2-11 "Detail" tab in the "History" tab Select the "Detail" tab in the "HistoryGraph." 11 Table 2-2 Information displayed in the detailed graph screen Respective parts in the screen 1 Figure 2-13 Displaying graph information 2 Description The top character string of this part is the parameter name displayed in the graph. The others are as below. Respective parts Logging Interval Prot Fineness Prot num First Last Description X: Selected time Y: Value of the selected time Interval at which the parameter shown in the graph was logged Fineness of the graph display Number of points on the graph Oldest time on the graph Latest time on the graph Figure 2-14 Displaying selected coordinates 3 The horizontal axis represents time, and the vertical axis represents value. The points on the graph indicates that the parameter shown was that value on that date/time. The red line emphasizes the selected time. Figure 2-15 Graph display 4 This displays the list of parameters at the selected time. When the selected time on the graph is changed, all parameter values shown in the list will also be updated to those of that time accordingly. 12 Changing the selected time Move the cursor over any blue point on the graph. Figure 2-17 Cursor moved over a blue point Double-click the blue point to change the selected time to that time. 13 Expanding Select a range by dragging in a horizontal direction on the graph. Figure 2-19 Selecting a range by dragging Let go of the mouse to expand the graph to the selected range and display the scroll bar. 14 Changing the displayed parameter There are two fields for selecting a parameter on the upper left in the detailed graph screen. 1 2 Figure 2-21 Two fields for selecting a parameter Of the two fields, 1 shows the parameter type, and 2 shows the parameter name. Click the for 1 to display the list of parameter types. Figure 2-22 List of parameter type Click and select any parameter type. The list of parameter names for 2 will change. 15 2.5. Changing the graph reading period Figure 2-24 "Period" field in the "HistoryGraph" tab Click the "Period" field in the "HistoryGraph" tab to change the period of reading the graph. The relation of buttons and periods is as below. Table 2-3 Relation of buttons in the "Period" field and periods Button Period Hour Reads logs from the present date and time until one hour ago into the graph. Day Reads logs from the present date and time until one day ago into the graph. Week Reads logs from the present date and time until one week ago into the graph. Month Reads logs from the present date and time until one month ago into the graph. Year Reads logs from the present date and time until one year ago into the graph. Optional This button is to read the logs of an optional period into the graph. Click to display the screen to enter a period as below. Figure 2-25 Period enter screen Supplement Enter the starting date and time of the period in "From" and the ending date and time of the period in "To." Click the "OK" button to read the logs of the entered period into the graph. The following message may be shown after changing the reading period. Figure 2-26 Limit notification message for available number of logs to read This indicates that the log of the designated period could not be read completely since the graph reading reached the limit (described later). Changing the fineness of the graph display Figure 2-27 "Fineness" field in "HistoryGraph" tab Click the "Fineness" field in the "HistoryGraph" tab to display the list of fineness for graph display. Figure 2-28 List of graph fineness Select and click any fineness. The fineness of graph display will change. Supplement Fineness of graph display has features as indicated in the table below. 17 2.7. Changing the limit settings for graph reading The graph reading limit is a function that limits the number of logs that can be read into the graph at once. This works as a safety function to prevent the LogViewer from crashing by incorrect operation. *Please execute the following setting changes under self-responsibility. Click "Tool" on the upper part of the main screen. The menu will be displayed. Figure 2-29 "Tool" menu Click "Option" in the menu. The following screen will be displayed. Table 2-5 Items for settings in the option screen Items for settings Limit Data Count Give priority to older data Description Enter the maximum number of logs that can be read into the graph at once. Place a check mark to read from the oldest log. In other words, when the number of logs has reached the limit, the older log data will be prioritized and displayed. 17 Copyright SYSTEM IN FRONTIER INC.
18 2.8. Displaying alarm log Figure 2-31 "AlarmLog" tab on the upper part of the main screen Click the "AlarmLog" tab on the upper part of the mani screen. 20 2.9. Displaying AddUP data Figure 2-34 "AddUp Data" tab on the upper part of the main screen Click the AddUp Data tab on the upper part of the main screen. The AddUp screen will be displayed. Figure 2-35 AddUp screen A list of AddUp data will be displayed on this screen. Information that can be checked is as shown in the table below. Table 2-7 Items that can be checked in the AddUp screen Item Description Subject Displays the parameter item name for the set AddUp. Data Name Displays the name given to AddUp. Count Displays the total hours counted by AddUp. The data counted up on a real-time basis when AddUp conditions are met. 21 2.10. Creating a log folder for reporting This describes how to create log folder for reporting, based on the log folder displaying contents. Log folders for reporting can be viewed with a separate LogViewer ("2.2 Displaying the log folder contents"). Click "File" on the upper part of the main screen. The menu will be displayed as below. Figure 2-36 "File" menu Click "Output Log Data" in the menu. The screen to designate the period will be displayed. Figure 2-37 Period designation screen For "Period," enter the period of the log that should be contained in the log folder to be create. Click "OK" to display the folder selection screen. Figure 2-38 Folder selection screen Select a location to create the log folder for reporting and click "OK."
