4 FAQ s The release of R11.1 may raise some questions which are answered below. R11.1 is a release to ensure EDM for Sage X3 by V1 is compatible with Sage X3 V7 9 onwards and Product Update 8 but has no additional functionality. Q: What if I already have R11 installed? A: If you already have R11 installed, you do not need to install R11.1. Q: What if I ve already downloaded R11 but haven t yet installed it? A: If you are on Sage X3 V6.5 or Sage X3 V7 1 8, you can install R11 as normal. If you are on Sage X3 V7 9 onwards or Product Update 8, download R11.1 and install as normal. Q: What if I m on an older release such as R9 or R10.1? A: If you are on Sage X3 V6.5 or Sage X3 V7 1 8 and have already downloaded R11, you can perform the update procedure. If you have updated to Sage X3 V7 9 or Product Update 8 since downloading R11, download R11.1 and perform the update procedure. Q: What if I already have R11 installed and update it to V7 9 or Product Update 8? A: If you already have R11 installed and on V7, you do not need to install R11.1. If you update to PU8, apply X3EDM_ _12_180.dat to the X3 endpoint. 4
