4 Fee Earner Maintenance Appendix 5 JOE Settings Introduction If you are new to PM V.10.2, please read the release notes that are part of your package and are installed in the location shown below. Please note that if you do not have the previous version of PM installed, you are able to download older release notes from the Reckon APS Client Portal. These release notes contain all of the information relevant to PM V The following convention is used throughout this document: Enhancement Correction For PM V.10.2, the release notes cover PM and any associated amendments to CRM and VB. If you are not a licensed user of a product mentioned in the list above, some sections of these release notes may not be of use to you. Known Issues A knowledge base article has been created to record any new known issue as a result of this release - Knowledge Base article # The known issues are detailed separately in the knowledge base article, linked to the knowledge article #. For each FIXED article the linked Knowledge Article will contain details on how to obtain the update. For each LOGGED article, the issue has been logged for development and will be resolved in a future release. To review the Knowledge Base Article #16500, visit the MyAPS Portal, enter the article number and press the search button. MyAPSPortal - Reference Numbers Each item in this document is prefixed by a corresponding reference number. From time to time a Reckon staff member may advise you of a reference number for an outstanding issue or enhancement request. Once that change has been released, the release notes document will include the reference and an explanation of the change. Things to Consider Using a Second Folder If you have previously used second folders to allow users access to a second database, since PM 10 there is now a requirement to use a different component. If your desktop shortcut does not work, please refer to the Upgrade and Installation Notes, or contact your IT administrator to correct it for you. New Database Indexes In this version of PM we have created a number of non clustered indexes on tables. This will improve the performance of the SQL database. It is possible that you may already have these indexes set IF you have access to a DBA. After the database upgrade, it is important that your DBA check the indexes on the tables shown in the table below to ensure that no duplicate indexes have been created. Please note, your indexes may have another name, the important thing to check for is an index on the same table for the same columns in the same order. If duplicates exist, one should be deleted. See KB for more detail. NOTE: This relates ONLY to non-clustered indexes you must NEVER delete an existing clustered index. Central Console # NZBN number (with check digit smarts) has been added. This is of relevance to our New Zealand clients only. # Further refinement to Temp file handling when Advance is exited. Documents # Save into Advance to a Project generated an 'Unable to find the specified file' error. # Creating a new document, then Save into Advance / close without saving, loses the document. Actions #23292, Improvements to Outlook synchronization. Rates Matrix # Extended the Rates Matrix Console page to show the state of each rate (active or deactivated) Document Store Settings # Year folders - for clients who make use of the Year Level folder functionality, we have added the option to choose either Current or Next Year when creating the yearly folders. 8 Budgets # The week column headers were not presenting in chronological order in some circumstances. This prevented budget data from displaying. Debt # When repx set to True /print a Single invoice generated ' Input string is not in a correct format' error in Debt page. Fees # Using.repx - fee narration lines were not separated by a blank line IF the previous narration had more than 1 line. System Administration Console Fee Earners # Using the Refresh button broke edit mode for Week Budget and caused the console to crash. Reckon Limited PAGE 8 OF 14

9 Appendix 1 Client Relationship Management Users # Event Description and Opportunity Description have had their field size increased to 255 characters. # Opportunity when adding, the Standard Matter dropdown list included those which had a date closed. # Events performance improvements have been made to the updating of Event metrics in the details page. These situations have been corrected. NOTE: before upgrading to this release of CRM you must link all Partners to their corresponding Fee Earner and all Fee Earners should be allocated a Partner. 10 Events Attendees New fields added to Attendees Approver this is now a picklist of Fee Earners (allows for someone other than the Client/Fee Earner Partner to approve/sponsor the attendee for the event). The default value for the Attendee is the Fee Earner record for the Client Partner/Fee Earner Partner. Once this has been set it can be edited in the attendee screen IF the user has the necessary JOE rights (see Appendix 2 JOE Settings for more information). Attended (WI22238) field to indicate whether or not the attendee did in fact attend the event. The total number attended for the Event is displayed in the Event Detail page. Approved by the Fee Earner who sets the Attendee as Approved to attend the event. Reckon Limited PAGE 10 OF 14

13 Appendix 2 Credit Management Users # Credit Centre was timing out when a large amount of data needed to be displayed. We have increased the timeout to prevent this from happening. Appendix 3 Value Billing Users # In some circumstances the right click Launch Associated Application generated an error specifically where AUS Tax was installed. # Where a periodic contract contained a very large number of matters (30 plus), when creating the fee, the fee lines displayed twice effectively doubling the fee amount. These situations have been corrected. Appendix 4 CRM Events - Getting started Approver this is now a picklist of Fee Earners (allows for someone other than the Client/Fee Earner Partner to approve/sponsor the attendee for the event). The default value for the Attendee is the Fee Earner record for the Client Partner/Fee Earner Partner. This can be edited in the attendee screen IF the user has the necessary JOE rights. The approver is now recorded with the event attendee information. IMPORTANT Before upgrading to this release of CRM you must link all Partners to their corresponding Fee Earner and all Fee Earners should be allocated a Partner.
