5 Introduction If you are already a PM user, these notes are inclusive of all the changes since PM10.1 was released. If you would like to review only the changes since PM10.1.2, these are indicated below with (PM10.1.3) appended to the end of the description. These notes that are part of your package and are installed in the location shown below. The following convention is used throughout this document: Enhancement Correction These release notes cover PM and any associated amendments to CRM, CM, VB, RP and VC. If you are not a licensed user of a product mentioned in the list above, some sections of these release notes may not apply to you. Known Issues A knowledge base article has been created to record any new known issue as a result of this release - Knowledge Base article # The known issues are detailed separately in the knowledge base article, linked to the knowledge article #. For each FIXED article the linked Knowledge Article will contain details on how to obtain the update. For each LOGGED article, the issue has been logged for development and will be resolved in a future release. To review the Knowledge Base Article #15550, visit the MyAPS Portal, enter the article number and press the search button. MyAPSPortal - Reference Numbers Each item in this document is prefixed by a corresponding reference number. From time to time a Reckon staff member may advise you of a reference number for an outstanding issue or enhancement request. Once that change has been released, the release notes document will include the reference and an explanation of the change. Reckon Limited PAGE 5 OF 11
6 All Applications The following situations have been corrected. Version Control # An automated refresh of the cdbclient View, when the Security Model is implemented, is now in place. All Consoles # Users who were denied permission to maintain consoles in JOE Admin were able to gain Edit access after the Refresh button was used. Central Console # Launching external applications (and browsers) caused Reckon APS to Wait until these other browsers were closed before allowing Reckon APS to be closed. # In some circumstances, some user settings, such as Auto Hide Slider and/or screen dimension default positions, caused Console crashes. # Some console bands were not expanded automatically to show all the relevant pages when a console was loaded. (Eg in Fees, the Fee Batch band did not always automatically show all the Fees pages.) # The duplicate function on Add, did not retain mandatory field values in some circumstances. #21108/ When adding a new client, it was possible to cancel the 'Add wizard when other records for the new client had already been added by another user. We now check for this situation and disallow the cancelling of Add if this new client has been used in other contexts, e.g. a new matter already added! # Document type icons no longer displayed on the Client Worksite page. # Duplicating a Console layout from a fee earner where the fee earner ID (internal numbering system) contained a zero sometimes resulted in an error. # In some circumstances Central console failed to launch due to the users Temp folder being out of space (PM10.1.3). Actions #21114/ Matter Rollover: In order to mirror the behaviour of PM 9.1.x, we no longer create a target date on the client:matter during rollover IF the No Date option is chosen on the standard matter. This assumes that the Rollover Method value is Roll Prior Year Milestones. This does not apply to RP users who have to have target dates in order to create resource allocations. # Matter Rollover: When a Document Store (ADM) is in use and set to link at client and matter level, the newly created Matter Managed folder path will be formulated correctly even if the Client Managed folder does not exist. # WIP Move: Remove Unallocated Interims that were available for selection under Disbursements these could then incorrectly be moved to another client matter. If you use WIP Move and think you may have inadvertently moved an Interim Fee from the Disbursements list, please contact Reckon APS Support for assistance. Reckon Limited PAGE 6 OF 11
7 # Correspondence Administration: ZIP file creation crashed for some sites when there were too many file dependencies. # On the Rates Matrix page on any Console, the final column did not show the active/inactive flag. Relationships # Under View, the Indirect Relationship flag should be off by default. Documents #21831/ The action Rename Folder did not 'move' folders across volumes. # Performance improvements for the page. # When Document Store has been set to link at client level, the Client Managed Folder cannot be removed. #21935/ Improve the handling of display resources to reduce the Your Windows Display Resources are running Low.. warning. Matter Console # Putting a matter On Hold generated an object ref not set to an instance of object...' error in some circumstances. Budgets Debtors # In certain circumstances when deleting Internal Matter budgets, the option to retain historical data was incorrectly removing additional budget data (PM10.1.3). # Statements gave an 'Error (6): overflow..' error when filtering on a combination of Partner, Manager or Department. # The batch control form was very slow to refresh if you re-sorted the batches. # When an apostrophe was used on a value in Attributes which was then used as a filter on Statements, this caused an overflow error. # Where Correspondence/ Use Repx Layouts was set to true In some circumstances multiple Statement / Draft Invoices did not preview correctly. Disbursements # The Disbursement batch summary report did not show transactions in data entry sequence in some cases. Fees Console # Where a fee is Read Only in an Approvals world, it should never have an Edit by value set. # Current Filter Excludes WIP after a specific date did not process Disbursements correctly in some circumstances. Reckon Limited PAGE 7 OF 11
8 WIP # A disbursement with the same date as the 'Current filter excludes WIP after' date were being excluded from the fee (PM10.1.3). # Auto fee with disbursements, disbursement amount was not included in the fee (PM10.1.3). # It was possible to create additional blank narration lines that had no default tax rate (PM10.1.3). # Additional WIP available indicator no longer displayed when WIP existed beyond 'Current filter excludes WIP after' date (PM10.1.3). # Where.REPX layouts are in use, invoice preview of multiple draft invoices for the same Debtor did not show all invoices (PM10.1.3). # A Fee locked by another user was still editable. This was a Refresh issue in Fees. # The Print button was disabled for a posted fee on the WIP page when you don t use fee approvals. # A User with Batch Access JOE rights did not have access to the WIP page of another user s fee. Fee Entry # Turning off Edit mode whilst focus was still on the fee entry narration hid the narration. # The Create new line on fee option rounded the tax amount for that line to the nearest dollar (PM10.1.3). Fee Spy # Credit Fee check the check for logged out Matters is now limited to only Matters that were included in the original fee (PM10.1.3). Timesheets # It was possible to corrupt timesheet and overtime data by using specific character strings within the text of the narration. # When running a very large screen resolution setting, Standard Style Timesheets would experience an Overflow 6 error. # Diary Style it was possible to enter overlapping timesheet entries, and/or daily entries which would exceed the daily max number of units. Correspondence # Improved error trapping on bulk ing of Correspondence. # If you are using the new layouts (.repx) and using Outlook 2013, ing a single invoice or statement resulted in an error on sending the message. 9 Reporting Listings # Exporting a datasheet to Excel - hidden columns were no longer hidden in Excel. # Exporting a datasheet to Excel sometimes used to generate an error - Datasheet source ExporttoExcel APS.Share.Office3.0..'. # Windows 10 Exporting a datasheet to Excel inserted all text into a single column rather than the values in separate columns (PM10.1.3). # Exporting a datasheet to Excel address fields did not retain their formatting (PM10.1.3). System Administration Consoles Attributes Entities #8940. On the Addresses band, the Supersede function inserted extra lines into the replaced address in some circumstances. # Statement placeholders in Statement Additional Fields for.repx layouts were not all being populated correctly. These were required by FeeSynergy Hyperlinks + CM Debt Letter FS integration. Fee Earners # Setting the filter to show terminated fee earners returned no data. Organisation Structure Maintenance # The Rename option was not available. Standard Matters # Reports/Standard Matter Milestone Report generated an 'application-defined or object-defined' error. System and User Settings # A Correspondence attribute ID that was too large was causing Console crashes (PM10.1.3). Reckon Limited PAGE 9 OF 11
10 Advanced Actions Data Import/Export # Importing disbursements for internal matters is invalid. This was not handled correctly. Appendix 1 Credit Management Users # Credit Centre: The right mouse option Reallocate Transactions, used on the same transaction for a 3rd time in a row could cause Console crashes. # Actions: The Date Updated column for all the Actions shown on the grid was overwritten with the current date in some circumstances. # Credit Centre: Where the Debtor was over multiple Entities, the action date was not updated correctly (PM10.1.3). # Actions: Where the Debtor was over multiple Entities an added Action did not show the correct Entity (PM10.1.3). # Credit Centre: In some circumstances the right click Reallocate Transaction window showed the incorrect Entity where the Debtor was over multiple Entities (PM10.1.3). Appendix 2 Client Relationship Management Users # Events: Adding attendees caused an error in some circumstances. Appendix 3 Value Billing Users # The Contracts Narrations Console did not show the Narration page if Standard Fee Narrations permission was denied in JOE rights. # The Invoice Narration values for a Milestone contract on the Contract selector did not get displayed on a Contract List. # Changing the Partner/Manager/Department at client level now allows the change to filter down to client matters which are part of a Contract (PM10.1.3). Appendix 4 Resource Planning Users # Work Centre: Action, Planning Batch or Move Allocations selecting a value that contained an apostrophe resulted in an 'argument length must be greater than zero' error. # Work Centre: right mouse Multi Allocations did not calculate target dates correctly for that matter. # In Timesheets, the Weekly Summary displayed incorrect information in some circumstances. 11 Workflow Templates # It was possible to change a template to repeatable once that template was in use. There is now a check for this situation. # It was possible to delete a repeatable milestone from a template once that template was in use. There is now a check for this situation. # It is no longer possible to edit a milestone s repeatable flag if the template it is part of is in use. There is now a check for this situation. Appendix 5 Virtual Cabinet Users # A new SUPs setting has been added to identify the path to the configuration file. Reckon Limited PAGE 11 OF 11
