4 Purpose This Read Me document contains system and setup information to integrate the NexSentry Manager with the DataCard QwikWorks version 4.0 imaging workstation. Selected NexSentry Manager cardholder database fields can be viewed and printed with a photo from the DataCard QwikWorks application. This eliminates the need for duplicate data entry on the DataCard imaging workstation to issue photo ID badges. NexSentry Manager Software Requirements NexSentry Manger Server and Client software must be version The Database Source has been changed to Visual FoxPro to allow a view table. - The Database has been modified to include image and signature tables. Note: Signature is not available on the DataCard QwikWorks version 4.0. Existing NexSentry Manager systems (version 2.01) must be upgraded to version 2.02 Server and Client to use the DataCard imaging workstation. - The NexSentry Manager (version 2.01) database must be sent to WSE for conversion. - The NexSentry Manager version 2.02 Server and Client software must be installed with the converted database on the Server computer. - All existing Clients must also be upgraded to NexSentry Manager version PAGE 4

5 When Ordering a DataCard System from WSE DataCard QwikWorks systems are configured and tested by WSE on a NexSentry Manager Server Host computer. When an order is placed, if specific system network information is not furnished, the system will be configured generically. For ease of installation in the field, it is recommended that the following information be supplied: The NexSentry Manager software key data (on existing systems). The network computer names used for the DataCard and NexSentry Manager Server host computers. The TCP/IP addresses that will be used for each computer. The Workgroup or Domain name used on the network connecting the DataCard and NexSentry Manager systems. If applicable, supply WINNT DNS or WINS Address information. The mapped Network Drive on the NexSentry Manager Server host computer that will be used by the DataCard computer. NexSentry Manager DataCard QwikWorks Operation Notes The NSM client software is pre-installed by WSE on the DataCard computer for the ODBC bi-directional interface to the NexSentry Manager database. The DataCard computer may be used as a NSM workstation (client). However, it will count as one client. To use the DataCard QW application it is not necessary to have the NSM client running on the DataCard computer. NSM database requires at least two Cardholder records for DataCard to view images properly after an image is updated. Once two Cardholders or more are in the NSM database this is not a problem. (FOXPRO VIEW TABLE limitation). When using Card Production from the DataCard QwikWorks application. Do not use the DELETE button. If by accident the DELETE button is selected, there is a warning. Respond NO to the DELETE REQUEST warning. If a DELETE is accidentally performed, images can not be updated without exiting and restarting Card Production. There is no permanent damage. The DataCard QW application should only be used to VIEW and UPDATE IMAGES in the Cardholder Record. Cardholder records should only be ADDED, DELETED, and MODIFIED on the NSM client. PAGE 5
