1 Bluebeam Revu 2015 Installation Guide Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Thank you for choosing Bluebeam Revu 2015! This tutorial shows you how to install Revu on your Windows computer. Although it covers Windows 7 Service Pack 1, the same instructions apply to Windows 8 with only minor changes. If you are looking to deploy Revu to multiple computers, see the Enterprise Installation page, which includes the MSI deployment packages and A Guide to Implementing Bluebeam within Your Enterprise. These instructions assume you ve already downloaded the installation file for Bluebeam Revu. If you haven t, please go to Bluebeam.com/updates. Before starting, it is highly recommended that you ensure Windows Updates are current and you complete any reboots that are pending after Windows Update or other software has been installed. A pending reboot may cause issues with the installation of the Microsoft.NET Framework and Revu. To find out if your computer needs to be updated, click the Windows Start button, type Windows Update and press enter. Look for Windows is up to date. Click the Restart now button if you see updates were successfully installed and restart now to finish installing. These messages mean that the installation of Windows Updates are incomplete and will be completed after Windows restarts. Restarting Windows will complete the updates and avoid issues when you install the Microsoft.NET Framework and Revu.

2 To start the installation process and launch the InstallShield Wizard, double-click on the Bluebeam Revu install file that you downloaded. Click Next in the InstallShield Welcome screen. Please read the License Agreement carefully, click I accept the terms in the license agreement when you agree to accept and click Next.

3 If prompted, choose the product to install by clicking Standard, CAD or extreme and then Next. Select your install options. Click Next to accept the default destination folder of C:\Program Files\Bluebeam Software and click Next, or click the Browse button, select another destination and click Next.

4 The Microsoft.NET Framework will install on workstations where.net or higher is not already installed. Because of varying conditions on different computers, the.net Framework install may take some time. Please allow ample time for this portion of installation to complete

5 Revu cannot be installed without.net Framework or higher. If you are prompted to reboot your computer after the.net Framework install completes, please click the Restart Now button and allow Windows to restart. Sometimes the Microsoft.NET Framework reboot prompt displays behind the Installing Bluebeam Revu window. If that happens, click the.net Framework button in the Windows Task Bar to bring it to the top, then click Restart Now.

6 Please allow time for the Revu installation to resume after.net Framework is installed and Windows restarts. The Revu installation will resume automatically, but only after Windows has fully started and loaded all programs that start with Windows. If Outlook starts, it needs to be closed before the Revu installation can finish. The Bluebeam Registration window will display at the end of the installation. Enter your registration information and click Register to complete the registration or Use as Trial if you have not yet purchased a license or would like to complete the registration later. You may also click Cancel to skip Registration and activate the trial.

7 Click Finish when the final install windows displays. Do not start Revu or the Bluebeam Administrator until after clicking Finish and the final installation window closes.
