About This Document This document describes instructions for upgrading Network Video Recorder Enterprise Edition (HAW-EIBU) from software version 2016 R3 to software version 2017 R2. Note that it is not guaranteed to upgrade Network Video Recorder Enterprise Edition (HAW-EIBU) from versions other than 2016 R3 to versions other than 2017 R2. 3

4 2. Preparation 2.1. Downloading installer files Download all the following installer files and save them to your USB memory. NVR Enterprise HAW-E 2017-R2 Server components (File name: NVR_Enterprise_HAW-E_2017-R2_Server-components-update.zip) Intel HD Graphics P530 driver (File name: Intel-HD-Graphics-P530-driver_Version zip) Intel PCH driver 1of2 (File name: Intel-PCH-driver-(PCIe-1909,PCIe-1901,PCIe-A110,PCIe-A117,LPC-A149)_Version zip) Intel PCH driver 2of2 (File name: Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_Version zip) Intel Management Engine driver (File name: Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version zip) Intel Ethernet Connection driver (File name: Intel-Ethernet-Connection-driver_I210-Version _I219-Version zip) NVMS Enterprise Edition 2017 R2 (File name: NetworkVMS_Enterprise_Edition_Products_2017_R2_11.2a_NVR_System_Installer.zip) The installer files are available at Upgrading your license You need to have a new upgraded software license code (SLC) and a upgraded license file (*.lic) in advance of starting version up installation. Please contact your reseller for details Backup Make a backup copy of all the data on your current HAW-SIBU before applying the version up installation in case of an unexpected accident. For a standalone HAW-EIBU (the All-In-One configuration) or an HAW-EIBU as a recording server, refer to the document NVMS Enterprise Edition Maintenance Guide (Rev.1.4.0) for detailed instructions of the backup. For a management server PC working in cooperation with two or more HAW-EIBU as recording servers, refer to the document NVMS Enterprise Edition 2017 R2 4

6 3. Version up installation instructions 3.1. Making a note of the current settings of LAN porft #1 Make a note of the current settings of the LAN port #1 before starting the version-up installation. Settings of the LAN port #1 is going to be forcedly initialized during the version-up installation Installing HAW-Enterprise server components 2017 R2 1. Navigate to [Start] > [Control Panel] > [System and Security] > [Administrative Tools], then click [Services]. 2. Stop the following services. Sony Network VMS Data Collector Server Sony Network VMS Event Server Sony Network VMS Management Server Sony Network VMS Recording Server 3. Open NVR_Enterprise_HAW-E_2017-R2_Server-components-update.zip, and copy NVR_Enterprise_HAW-E_2017-R2_Server-components-update.exe to the Desktop. 4. Double click NVR_Enterprise_HAW-E_2017-R2_Server-components-update.exe. 5. Click [Yes]. 6

11 15. Click [OK]. HAW-EIBU automatically reboots. 16. BIOS update installer automatically starts. 17. HAW-EIBU automatically reboots 3 times during the BIOS update installation. After the progress dialog of the BIOS update installation automatically closes, the BIOS update installer displays no guidance (just black screen) for about 2 minutes. Never turn off HAW-EIBU even during the period of the black screen. 18. HAW-EIBU automatically reboots after completion of the BIOS update installation, and Windows starts Installing Intel HD Graphics driver 1. Open Intel-HD-Graphics-driver_Version zip, and copy Intel-HD-Graphics-driver_Version exe to the Desktop. 2. Double click Intel-HD-Graphics-driver_Version exe. 11

15 3.4. Installing Intel PCH drivers 1. Open Intel-PCH-driver-(PCIe-1909,PCIe-1901,PCIe-A110,PCIe-A117,LPC-A149)_Version_ zip, and copy Intel-PCH-driver-(PCIe-1909,PCIe-1901,PCIe-A110,PCIe-A117,LPC-A149)_Version_ exe to the Desktop. 2. Double click Intel-PCH-driver-(PCIe-1909,PCIe-1901,PCIe-A110,PCIe-A117,LPC-A149)_Version_ exe. 3. Click [Next]. 15

17 6. Click [Restart Now]. HAW-EIBU automatically reboots. 7. After the reboot, open Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_version_ zip, and copy folder Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_version_ to the Desktop. 8. Open the folder Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_version_ Double click Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_version_ exe. 17

20 3.5. Installing Intel Management Engine driver 1. Open Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version zip, and copy folder Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version to the Desktop. 2. Open the folder Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version Double click Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version exe. 4. Click [Next]. 20

21 5. Check [I accept the terms in the License agreement], and click [Next]. 21

22 6. Click [Finish]. HAW-EIBU automatically reboots Installing Intel Ethernet Connection driver 1. Open Intel-Ethernet-Connection-driver_I210-Version _I219-Version zi p, and copy Intel-Ethernet-Connection-driver_I210-Version _I219-Version ex e to the Desktop. 2. Double click Intel-Ethernet-Connection-driver_I210-Version _I219-Version ex e. 22

27 7. Click [Finish] Restoring settings of the LAN port #1 1. Manually restore settings of the LAN port #1 with the note prepared in the section Reboot HAW-EIBU Uninstalling Sony Network VMS Enterprise 2016 R3 Note: With an HAW-EIBU as a recording server, skip this section. 3. Navigate to [Control Panel] > [Programs] > [Programs and Features], and right click on Sony Network VMS Enterprise Edition Products 2016 R3, then choose menu [Uninstall]. 27

29 6. Click [Close]. 7. Reboot HAW-EIBU Installing Sony Network VMS Enterprise 2017 R2 This section describes steps to install HAW-EIBU as the All-In-One configuration (a standalone HAW-EIBU). For HAW-EIBU as a recording server, refer to the document NVMS Enterprise Edition 2017 R2 Administrator Manual for detailed steps to install Sony Network VMS Enterprise 2017 R2, instead of this section. For two or more HAW-EIBUs in the distributed system configuration, refer to the document NVMS Enterprise Edition 2017 R2 Administrator Manual for detailed steps to install Sony Network VMS Enterprise 2017 R2, instead of this section. 1. Open NetworkVMS_Enterprise_Edition_Products_2017_R2_11.2a_NVR_System_Installer. zip, and copy NetworkVMS_Enterprise_Edition_Products_2017_R2_11.2a_NVR_System_Installer. exe to the Desktop. 2. Copy the upgraded license file (*.lic) to the Desktop. 29

30 3. Double click NetworkVMS_Enterprise_Edition_Products_2017_R2_11.2a_NVR_System_Installer. exe. 4. Choose your preferred language, and click [Continue]. 5. Check [I accept the terms in the License agreement], and click [Continue]. 30

31 6. Click [Browse] and choose the upgraded license file (*.lic), then click [Continue]. Note: This step links the upgraded license code (SLC) to your HAW-EIBU. 7. Click [Single Computer]. 31

32 8. Click [Continue]. Note: When the component NVMS Mobile Server is not required, uncheck NVMS Mobile Server before clicking [Continue]. 9. Change the setting Media database to D:\MediaDatabase, and click [Continue]. Note: Never change the setting Recording Server name. 32

33 10. Click [Install]. 11. Uncheck [Open Network VMS Smart Client 2017 R2 upon exit], and click [Close]. 33

34 3.10. Deleting version-up installer files 1. Move NVR_Enterprise_HAW-E_2017-R2_Server-components-update.exe on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 2. Move Intel-HD-Graphics-P530-driver_Version exe on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 3. Move Intel-PCH-driver-(PCIe-1909,PCIe-1901,PCIe-A110,PCIe-A117,LPC-A149)_Version_ exe on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 4. Move folder Intel-PCH-driver-(PMC-A121,SMBus-A123,Thermal-A131)_version_ on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 5. Move folder Intel-Management-Engine-driver_Version on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 6. Move Intel-Ethernet-Connection-driver_I210-Version _I219-Version ex e on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 7. Move NetworkVMS_Enterprise_Edition_Products_2017_R2_11.2a_NVR_System_Installer. exe on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 8. Move the upgraded license file (*.lic) on the Desktop to the Recycle Bin. 9. Empty the Recycle Bin. 34

35 4. Installing Internet Explorer 11 The web browser Internet Explorer version 11 must be installed to HAW-EIBU server(s) and client PC(s) to use Network Video Recorder Enterprise Edition software version 2017 R2. Install Internet Explorer version 11 by either of the following options. Note: The version of Internet Explorer pre-installed on Network Video Recorder Enterprise Edition HAW-EIBU server version 2016 R3 is Installing IE11 by Windows Update Install Internet Explorer 11 suggested by Windows Update to HAW-EIBU server(s) and client PC(s). Follow the technical document NVMS Hardening Guide when performing Windows Update Installing IE11 by offline installer In case Windows Update can not be used, offline installer of Internet Explorer 11 is the other option. Download an applicable installer(s) from the following location, and install it to HAW-EIBU server(s) and client PC(s). Note: Installer applicable to HAW-EIBU server is one for the platform Windows 7 SP1 64bit. Microsoft Corporation website Download Internet Explorer 11 (Offline installer) 35

36 5. Installing Windows Update Install Windows Updates by following the technical document NVMS Hardening Guide. 36

37 6. Activating camera license Activate camera license (hardware device license). Refer to the section Activation in the document NVMS Enterprise Edition Installation Manual for detailed instructions. Note: Camera license (hardware device license) is tightly linked to software license code (SLC). Therefore, cameras activated on the version 2016 R3 require re-activation after applying the version 2017 R2 having the new upgraded license code (SLC). 37
