1 Release Notes Scribe Template for Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Requirements Version 1.2 Release Date January 5, 2009 Scribe Insight 6.4 or later. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 with service pack 1. You will also need two licensed Microsoft Dynamics NAV users with administrator privileges for use during the integration. Scribe Adapter 1.1 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You will also need a licensed Microsoft Dynamics CRM user with administrator privileges for use during the integration. Scribe Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This version of the template has only been tested with the versions of the Scribe adapters shown above. This template may not work as expected with other adapter versions. If you are prompted to upgrade to another version of a Scribe adapter, please be aware that the template is only certified for use with the versions listed here. Before upgrading your adapters, always check with Scribe to verify that the newer version of the adapter is compatible with this version of the template. 2 What s new in version 1.2 Support for Publish As and pooling Supports the new Publish As and connection pooling functionality available with version 1.1 of the Scribe Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. What s new in version 1.1 Fixes Added Audit Views to reconcile documents in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Audit Views are available in the Scribe Console. These views highlight discrepancies between the Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics CRM systems. Please see the adapter Help for more information about Audit Views. Resolved unnecessary pricing error message in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Opening orders that were created in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and then brought into Microsoft Dynamics CRM would produce an unnecessary error message when the order was viewed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The text of the message was, An error occurred during pricing of a detail line item. This message was generated unnecessarily when no error had occurred. This issue was resolved by setting the pricingerrorcode field to 0 in the last step of the job; effectively telling Microsoft Dynamics CRM that no errors occurred. 3 What s new in version Fixes Modified publisher for Microsoft Dynamics NAV ignore user entries The ignore user was changed (to SCRIBENAV) on all Microsoft Dynamics NAV publisher entries to accommodate a Scribe Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics NAV fix. Updated Help file The template Help topics describing the initial synchronization process were updated. The template Help is included as part of the template installation. You can also view the template Help on-line in the Scribe library at Updated DTS comments All comments for the source, target, and links were reviewed and updated. User variable help text entries were reviewed and updated. Customer matching Made a correction so that the customer match criteria is equivalent in the both directions (Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Specifically, CustomerToCRM.dts was changed to use the STRIPCOMPANYSUFFIX function and the STARTS WITH operator. Address sharing Resolved an issue where pre-existing Address records on a Microsoft Dynamics CRM account were not being shared when the account was shared (set to type=customer). CascadeAddressToERP.dts was updated so that the source query uses the label ERP2CRM- Customer instead of ERP2CRM-Account. No support for multi-tenant CRM On multi-tenant Microsoft Dynamics CRM servers, this release of the template supports only the default tenant. No support for kits This release of the template does not support integrating product items that are organized in kits. No support Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online This release of the template does not support Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. No support for multi-company Microsoft Dynamics NAV Microsoft Dynamics NAV can be set up with multiple companies. This template integrates with only one Microsoft Dynamics NAV company. No support for contact based orders This release of the template does not support orders that are attached directly to contacts that do not have customer records.
