1 OPTISIM USER GUIDE OptiSIM is an exclusive cloud-based tool developed by IEC Telecom Group. It is a web-based solution which provides, via a secured (SSL) access, the ability for IEC Telecom customers to manage and monitor all their satellite lines (SIM cards, VSAT links or devices), call/ consumption details and invoices, enabling an extensive follow-up of prepaid and post-paid accounts. OptiSIM is constantly evolving to meet with customers needs for extended monitoring of their telecommunications activities.
2 Access OptiSIM directly via this web address: Or visit OptiSIM access icon appears on all our corporate website pages.
3 Then connect to OptiSIM with your personal login and password (attributed by your account manager when your OptiSIM account is created). Tick the Keep me signed in box, if you want your browser to remember your credentials.
4 MY ACCOUNT SECTION This section gathers all your account information including: NAME of your account CONTACT NAME Complete ADDRESS details (to be displayed on your invoices) ADMIN: super administrator of the account. This address will received resettled/new password in case of modification
5 INVOICES : group of contacts receiving monthly invoices via ALERTS : group of contact receiving usage alerts and provisioning confirmation via ADDITIONAL CONTACTS : you can add several colleague contact details
6 Always click on SAVE when you edit your account.
7 DEVICES SECTION The Devices section gathers all the informations about your IEC Telecom Group SIM Cards. This section provide information about: CLASS: indicates if the SIM card is under prepaid or postpaid contract TYPE: describes the type of service on which the SIM card operates (ie: BGAN, ISATPHONE, VOICE, IP, IRIDIUM, etc ) SIM/DEVICE: unique SIM card number NAME: display NICK NAME of the SIM card (optional) GROUP: display potential Group in which the SIM card is added (ie: for a specific project, this makes it easy to find a pool of SIM cards) LAST: date and location of last call! DATE IS DISPLAYED AS: MONTH / DAY/ YEAR! ACTIVE: shows activation dat of the SIM Card EXPIRES: expiration date (only for prepaid SIM card)
8 Apply filters to your fleet of SIM Cards: Filter by SIM Card status: ACTIVE: show all activated SIM cards (ready to use) NON-ACTIVE: display deactivated SIM cards, potentially reactivable (cards that cannot be used at the moment) NEW: SIM cards ready for first activation ALL: display all your SIM card fleet
9 Filter by SIM Card Class: POSTPAID: postpaid SIM cards PREPAID: prepaid SIM cards RENTAL: SIM card for rental use ALL: display all your SIM card fleet For even more details about a specific SIM card, click on its number (displayed in blue)
10 You can then edit the SIM card detail, such as: NICK NAME: specific name that you can attribute to a SIM card to find it easily in OptiSIM GROUP NAME: create group of SIM cards, can be convenient for specific projects or organizations with many deployed SIM cards on various locations Add a Customer Alert for this specific SIM card. Create a usage alert (can be defined in Minutes, Megabytes and/or Dollars) This usage alert will send via an alert to this contact address (in addition to the contact(s) mentioned in the ACCOUNT section)
11 FOR ACTIVATED POSTPAID SIM CARDS: Request deactivation: the SIM card will be completely unusable and the postpaid contract is stopped. No monthly fees will be due after the current month. The SIM card can be reactivated with a cost. Request Suspension: the SIM card is temporary suspended and cannot be used. In this case, you will still need to pay the monthly fee related to the postpaid plan. Request SIM transfer: transfer your SIM card on a different OptiSIM account
12 For any action on OptiSIM don t forget to mention the effective date of your request. You also need to tick the box to Confirm your order and agree to support all associated costs.
13 FOR ACTIVATED PREPAID SIM CARDS: Request prepaid credit to be added on your SIM card The proposed prepaid vouchers are compatible with the activated service If needed, indicate quantity of vouchers
14 FOR NEW PREPAID SIM CARDS: Request SIM card activation and prepaid credit to be added Again, don t forget to mention effective date and to tick the confirmation box.
15 For each SIM card you can also add hardware related information: IMEI or SERIAL number.
16 BILLING SECTION This section gathers all your invoices and billing information details from the date of your account creation in OptiSIM. Information displayed include: TRANS: unique number of edited invoice DATE: date of invoice creation PDF: click on the PDF icon to view your invoice under PDF format CSV: click on the CSV icon to view your invoice under CSV format (excel compatible) AMOUNT: total amount of your invoice PDF invoice
17 CSV invoice. Click on the mail icon and it will automatically send an to the Invoices to contact with the selected invoice under Zip format.
18 TOP MENU To ease your navigation on OptiSIM we created this top menu that appears on all OptiSIM pages. It provides a quick link access to essential data and you can get information at a glance about your consumption. THE DASHBOARD ICON When clicking on the dashboard icon you get access to helpful graphical data display. On this page you will be able to get a quick view on your SIM cards fleet by service and by class (prepaid and postpaid)
19 THE TRAFFIC REPORT ICON When clicking on the Traffic report icon, you get access to specific information about past consumption and usage. You can apply filters by: Device, Mobile Number, Group, Tech (Service type), etc and select a date range for which you need usage detail. Then click on View to generate and see the report.
20 When clicking on the mail icon, the generated report is automatically sent to the address stored in your account.
21 THE LOCATION ICON When clicking on the location icon, you access a view of the last place where your SIM cards were used. The location(s) are displayed on a global map but you can zoom on it. Information regarding usage place is based on country (not GPS coordinates)
22 THE CURRENT USAGE ICON Looking at OptiSIM you can see at a glance, your current monthly consumption. We call it MTD for Month-To-Date usage. When clicking on the icon, you can see to the detail of your Month-to-date consumption, per SIM card, all classified by usage amounts. When clicking on SIM card number, you can view the current usage of the specific SIM and, if needed add a usage alert.
23 EDIT YOUR PROFILE At any moment you can edit your profile information by clicking on the top menu. You can change your admin , password and name. You can also select the right Time Zone.
24 The search panel appears on the left of your screen and display the latest SIM card number edited/consulted. You can just click on this icon: on screen. to hide it and use this space to view more information For any question regarding OptiSIM please contact
