1 Job Description Job Title: Line Manager: Summary of Role: Scope: IT Operations Analyst IT Server Applications Manager The IT Operations Analyst is responsible for support IT Users in solving computer problems, installing maintaining computer storage, software servers working with the IT Team to create workable IT services. It is the responsibility of the IT Operations Analyst to coordinate delegate responsibility to the IT Assistants. The IT Operations Analyst, reports to the IT Server Applications Manager contributes to IT projects whilst providing hardware software maintenance. Providing these services in an effective efficient manner will ensure maximum access to implementation of technology services resources. Due to the nature of the IT team it will be necessary for this role to also provide support for other IT functions. Key Responsibilities: Operating IT services within a complex business environment Server management server installation including virtual desktops Advanced management of Active Directory Computer hardware software systems programs Server storage troubleshooting Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft applications Basic Network administration skills Security, administration, software programming, web development or data testing Data storage management including SharePoint online Knowledge of backup services including cloud backup services xperience in administration of Office 365 Responding to change: Contribute towards medium long term coordinated planning based on LSTM objectives to keep the school up to date with developments in ICT. Assist with the implementation of developments of the IT service. Create project plans for activities, allocate work stream activities supervise the contribution of subordinate team members

2 Develop communication flows to ensure that customers of IT services are continually updated with information relating to IT developments affecting their work area. Provide orientation to new users of existing technology Advise colleagues on potential uses of existing new technology Provide individual training support on request Provide recommendations about accessing information support Maintain current accurate inventory of technology hardware, software resources Advise the IT Management Team of issues that are effecting IT Services or IT users. General: Perform other related duties commensurate with this grade as required.
