4 NetBrain now features a new User Interface for visualizing network changes. There are 3 new components: 1. Time Line Panel Shows the change results in a bar chart format for a specified time range 2. Map Each device now includes a badge icon to indicate how many changes occurred on the device 3. Change Analysis Panel Displays detailed change results, presented by two methods: data type or device 1. Define timeline for change analysis 2. Total changes summarized on map 3. 5 1. X-axis indicates date/time 2. Y-axis indicates total change count 3. Colored vertical bars represent the results of different server benchmark tasks (a unique color for each task) 4. The T1 pointer indicates the current view, for base comparison 5. The T2 pointer can be moved to select the time in history you want to compare against T1 You can adjust the viewable time range in two ways: Select 7-Day, 15-Day, 1 Month, or 3 Months Window. 6 The total number of changes on each device will be displayed as a badge icon on each device. 8 The types of data which can be benchmarked by the system and leveraged for comparison have been enhanced. There are three primary enhancements: 1. Changes in Property Data You can now compare two data points in time for device, interface, and module properties for each device to highlight changes. 2. 9 Historical analysis can be customized for virtually any network data on any device. This comparison logic can be defined in the device drivers for each vendor. You can identify specific parts of CLI output to ignore in a data comparison in two ways: 1. By Regular Expression 2. 11 2 Thin Client Overview With 5.4G1, NetBrain is now available, with limited features, as a lightweight thin client, accessible via a web browser. The thin client put your most critical network data at your fingertips, from any device, accessible via the Workspace server.
