3 PROPERTY SPECIFICATIONS BUILDING RESILIENCY Two 25 KV Primary feeders are brought from substation via underground concrete encased duct bank to a pad mounted transfer switch 5 parallel 1400 KW diesel generators located in the Central Utility Plant 3 automatic transfer switch units that transfer automatically from failed utility to energized generator power in approximately 10 second A 40 KVA UPS supplies power to telecommunications closets The Building Automation System is supplied by backup power HVAC 100% outside supply air Chilled water and steam are supplied from the Central Utility Plant There are secondary chilled water pumps that supply the building Laboratory and fume hood HVAC controls are variable air volume supply and exhaust box controlled TELECOMMUNICATIONS Fiber is distributed from Building 1 and extend through each floor in building 2 All switches, racks, LAN cabling, fiber risers are in place There is underground duct bank connection to the adjacent Node 1 Verizon, TW Telecom provide service to Parmer RTP Building 6 was previously used as vivarium laboratory space consisting of a mix of surgery/procedure rooms, holding rooms, feed rooms, cage wash areas as well as a mix of traditional laboratory space consisting of necropsy, micro-injection lab, tissue culture lab, autoclave staging areas and a mix of office and conferencing areas.
