4 Wiring Infrastructure upgrades We partnered with Public Works Facilities Management Coordinated with Multiple vendors to support and work on these upgrades: DEDC Engineering and Design firm Furness Electrical Assurance Media Wiring contractor Summit Mechanical HVAC Dynatech HVAC Kratos Camera and Card access security

5 Wiring Infrastructure Upgrades Multiple NCC locations will receive new network/phone hardware and Wi-Fi 25 of these locations needed wiring replaced 18 Sites are completed. Some may need removal of old wiring 4 Sites are nearing completion Major sites Government Center Bidding completed and scheduling work to begin City County Building 50% complete Conner Complex Beginning the design (Medic 8) needs new internet service to function properly. Verizon and Comcast are not available

6 Network & Internet Services Upgrades Leveraged State Fiber Optic Services Contract Connectivity between four main sites - January 2018 Implemented Next Generation Firewalls - February 2018 Transitioned from Comcast to new Internet Service Provider March 2018 New Core Network installed at four main sites April 2018 Remote Office Internet services were slow and out of contract Issued a RFP for new services Transition to new service providers (Comcast Verizon) Feb 2018 Present Replacing all network closet hardware & Wi-Fi units (ongoing) Convert remote office to the NEW wide area network design

13 Impacts of Software as a Service (SaaS) Must budget for ongoing operational costs vs. large one time investments Proactively manage internet bandwidth to ensure proper performance Improved backup and disaster recovery IS staff will have opportunities to learn new technologies and develop new skills (Cloud vendor management)
