We serve only Licensed Private Investigators and Law Enforcement Agencies. We have prepared this easy guide to help you with your tracking. We only monitor GPS units sold by our company and only provide support to our customers that are registered users of the system. Our system is simple and easy to use if the directions are followed in this guide. Since there are many different cellular telephones, tablets and computers used by our customers we cannot cover all problems associated with your different devices. Our platform does not require you to install software or operating applications. This manual and guide is updated from time to time to include all new services and uses of our system. Computer Log On: Cell Phone: User Name: Password: 1
2 Computer Sign On Sign into the GPS tracking platform in two ways, computer and cellular telephone. Follow the below guidelines to sign onto your account with either a PC or Cell Phone. Be sure and use for the computer and for the mobile device. You can also create a bookmark and short cut on your home screen. Our platform does not require you to download or use an application for service and tracking. Insert your provided username and then your password as provided to you. If you forget your password you can us to receive a re-set. Mobile login to the left. Insert your username and then password. 2
3 Mapping Page Layout Mapping Side which displays critical location and street location. Information side which shows all the information that you will need to make changes or track the vehicle On the mapping page the header bar is in black. When working with your mapping you should make sure that you have the correct map selected under the heading "workspace", you can also save the mapping that you are working with so it comes up every time you log on. You will also see another tool bar which is to the right of the yellow man. Place your mouse over each of the icons and they will show you what they do. 3
4 Change Your Password & On the information side of your mapping page just right click on the name of the GPS unit or the user name. You will see a selection menu. Simply select "Edit User" and you will then see the change menu. You can only change certain criteria in these boxes as they apply to your GPS unit and user information. For the tracker you can only change the tracker name and which icon to use. For the user you can only change the password, , and cellular number. address is where all alerts are sent to. If you want sms sent to you, then you must use the 10digit telephone number the particular cell address such as: @vtext.com You can also change the look and icon of your tracker by right clicking on the vehicle from the right side of the mapping and make changes in the name and Icon or marker. Certain areas you cannot change. 4
5 Tracks of Vehicle Creating the tracks of a vehicle is simple and can be done in three ways. You can create the days tracks by right clicking on the vehicle and select "todays tracks", you can create multiple days tracks by selecting the vehicle and then the "Tracks" tab. The third way is to create a report which we will discuss later under the reports tab. To find today's tracks simply right click on the vehicle on the mapping page and select "Today's Tracks". You will see the route and the arrows indicate the 2 minute track. To clear the tracks from the mapping just select the brush icon and click on it. This will clear the tracks. Multiple days tracks To track for multiple days and select which time frame and days to track by simply select the vehicle from the information side of the mapping. Make sure you check the box under "Track" as shown with the red arrow. Then select the tab at the top which says "Tracks" 5
6 Geofence Setting a Geofence area and receiving alerts from the Geofence is simple and quick. Follow the below steps to set up a new Geofence, and delete a Geofence. There are only two (2) types of Geofence settings that you can use. One is inside and one is outside. You CANNOT create your own group on the Geofence settings. 1. Select Geofence Tab (A) 2. You will then select + Geofence (B) 3. Select a Name for the Geofence (C) 4. In Groups start typing with "G" and you will then have a choice of inside or outside, select which one or both and then SAVE! A B C You can only select from Inside or Outside or you can select both. You cannot create your own group! You should see the Geofence information as to the left of this box if you have set it up correctly. Remember to save your Geofence. To delete the Geofence, simply go to the first step and right click on the one set up and delete. 6
7 Reports You have several type reports that you are able to run. If you find that you need a special report please contact our support staff and we will see if we can create that report for you. Follow the guide below to run your reports. To run reports simply look on the left side of the mapping page and select "Reports" from the black tab bar. You will then see a drop down list which you can select any of the reports shown. Some users will have more selections than others depending on the tracking set up and package. You simply select the report type that you want. Manage Reports- allows you to create and change how a report looks BC1000 BreadCrumb- shows you bread crumbs of the travel BreadCrumb Battery- adds the battery usage to the report Event Rule- shows you the rules of the GPS tracker Trip&Idle (Daily)- will show you the start and stops of the tracker Trip&Idle (Detailed)- shows more detail of the trip start and stops If you select BreadCrumb Battery Report you will see the information that you will need to select to run the report. You can select "Daily" or any selection under this drop down box. Custom allows you to select the time and date of travel to run the report. User ID must be selected as the Name of the tracker shown on the mapping. When done with your selections simply hit generate and the report will run for you. AFTER the report runs you can then select any address to send the report to. IF YOU SELECT FIRST before running the report, it will be ed to the address and will not show on your screen. 7
8 Locate my Tracker Change Tracking Times There are several ways to send commands to tracking units and several different commands. The guide below will show you how to locate on demand your tracking unit and also change the tracking times of the unit. Keep in mind that not all accounts will have the same commands or ability to make changes. Locate Right click on your tracker and you will see the menu as to the left. Select Send a command. From this menu you can locate on demand or change the tracking times. WARNING You can send a locate command at any time but you can only send a tracking change time if the vehicle is moving and it is live on the mapping screen. DO NOT continue to send commands if the first does not work. 8
9 Reports Please review the below information on "How to run reports" from our software mapping platform. Keep in mind that not all accounts will have the ability to run the same reports. Select Reports from the menu bar. You will then see the reports available to run from your platform. Select the report that you want to run. Once selected you will see the information boxes that you will enter your data into and make a selection of: Period Start Date UserID Make sure to select the vehicle that you want to run. You will also need to select the type format report you wish to run as shown to the left. You can either run the report and have it appear on your screen or have it ed to you in the format you choose. Once you run the report you can check the and select generate to have it e- mailed to you. 9
10 Tracking Tool Customer Software Wilson tracking offers a separate software tracking package to allow Investigators to ability to allow their customers and clients to view live trackers on the platform. Only one tracker can be viewed with this software. The Investigator has full control over the activation of time/date and tracker with this software package. If you have this software package you will see it listed under the "Windows" tab. Select Tracking Tool. You will then see this data box appear from which you will select the following: Name of Tracker Valid Date from and Date to Select Create tracking code Then confirm "YES" You will then see the information box as below left side. You can either the code, copy and paste the code in an or send to multiple s. TEST the code to make sure you are correct by clicking on the code highlighted in blue. Always delete the tracking code when the date terminates. 10
11 Support Wilson Tracking has a support tab on the main mapping page which allows the user to send a support request while watching the mapping page. Support calls are answered quickly and most of the time while you are in the software. REMEMBER to send your name and phone number for a quick support return call. Tips & Tricks Where the divider line is on the mapping page, place your mouse on the gray divider line and double click. You now have a full screen map. Simply click on the gray divider line (Far Right) and the map will return to normal. Clear your cache and cookies with the F5 Key on your keyboard 11
12 Mobile App will sign you into our mobile application. Map tracks for today or any time 2. Send a locate or change tracking times 3. See battery life and tracker data in real time See information box to the right. Click status to see all the information about your tracker. Click Tracks and Tips to show the days or any day tracks of the vehicle. Commands can also be sent under tracks and tips. 12
