1 TireCheck Mobile: Creating a Service Request This document describes the creation of a service request using the TireCheck Mobile Application.

2 Logging in and Accessing the Service Request Module The Service Request module is pre-installed as part of the TireCheck Mobile Application. To access the Service Request module: 1. Launch the TireCheck Mobile Application (TireCheck App). 2. Enter your User Code and Password on the login screen. 3. Click the Lock icon to log in. The Service Request icon displays in green, indicating the Service Request module is active. Tirecheck 2014 Page 2

3 Creating Service Requests Inspections highlight issues on vehicles and recommend actions for correction. To track corrective actions, you must create a service request. 1. Click the Service Request icon to enter the Service Request module. A list displays all vehicles with open issues. Issues are color coded to reflect severity. Problems are red, and warnings are yellow. The user may filter issues using the Filter by drop down. 2. Click the check box adjacent to a vehicle to select it from the list. 3. Click the green Create Service Request icon. Note: Users may also create service requests for vehicles that don t have open issues. In this scenario, type the vehicle registration number into the search box and click the gray Create Service Request icon. Tirecheck 2014 Page 3

4 Creating Service Requests The TireCheck App displays the vehicle details as well as all issues recorded against the vehicle during the inspection. Issues are listed as Not Assigned Issues. 4. Click the Service Request tab. 5. Select the Service Center performing the work. 6. Select the start and due dates of the service request. 7. Click the green Create Service Request icon. 5 Entering Service Request Details The service request is now ready to document work. The scenario below replaces a tire. 1. Select the tire position on the diagram that has an open issue (see step 1 on the left-hand graphic). 2. Click the blue Tire On/Off button. 3. Select the desired tab to pick a replacement tire. Note: Tabs include Fleet Stock, Shared Stock, Business Stock, and New Tire. 4. Click the check box adjacent to the desired tire. 5. Click the green tick. Tirecheck 2014 Page 5

6 Entering Service Request Details 6. Enter all necessary information (Removal TD, etc.), and click the green tick at the Change Details screen. Note: If more work is needed, return to step 1 of this section and repeat the process. 7. Click the green Save button when all work is complete. Tirecheck 2014 Page 6

8 Completing Service Requests The application automatically redirects to the Work Orders screen (image right). The service request created above has a Pending Approval status. Note: The user may also click the Work Orders icon (image left) from the home screen to reach this page. In order to view service requests from this screen, users must Have the associated service center assigned to their profile. Have PDA download access to the vehicle. From the Work Orders screen: 1. Select the check box adjacent to the service request you want to approve or reject. 2. Click the green tick. Tirecheck 2014 Page 8

9 Auto-Approving Service Requests To accommodate different business methodologies, the TireCheck application allows the user to either auto-approve or manually approve the service request. Auto-Approve the Service Request 1. Review the assigned issues and click the Auto- Approve button. 2. Click the red Exit button. The application returns to the Work Orders screen. The completed work order has disappeared from the list. You have successfully approved and completed the service request. Tirecheck 2014 Page 9

10 Manually Approving or Declining Service Requests Manually Approve or Decline the Service Request 1. Review the assigned issues and click either the Approve or Reject button (see left-hand image) to approve or reject the Service Request. Note: Enter comments outlining the rejection reason when rejecting a service request (mandatory), and click the Reject button again. 2. Click the Post button. 3. Click the red Exit button. The system redirects to the Work Orders screen. The service request now has an Approved or Declined status respectively (see image at right). 4. Click the check box adjacent to the approved service request, and click the green tick. Tirecheck 2014 Page 10

11 Manually Approving or Declining Service Requests 5. Click the green Finish button (see left-hand image). 6. Click the red Exit button. The application returns to the Work Orders screen.
