2 HOW TO GET STARTED Before starting you must have: a. Router or Network Switch b. Internet Access c. Internet Gateway Serial Number (located on the bottom of the Internet Gateway) HOW TO ESTABLISH A LIFTMASTER MyQ ACCOUNT 1. Connect to Router/Network Switch and power. 4. Check your address used to create the account and click on the link that reads click here to complete registration. Power Router Internet Gateway When the Internet Gateway connects to the Internet, the green LED will stop blinking and will light solid. 2. Visit myliftmaster.com to create an account. 5. After you click on the link, you will be directed to validate your login by entering your MyQ password. 3. Once you ve created a MyQ account, you will be asked to verify the address used to create the account. 6. After entering your password, you will be prompted to complete additional information such as your address. 2

After entering the information, you will be asked to register your Internet Gateway by entering the serial number (located on the bottom of the Internet Gateway) and assign a name for Internet Gateway. 8. Upon registering an account and registering the Internet Gateway, you will be prompted to download the mobile app from the App store or Google Play. 3

4 HOW TO ADD A LOGIC 5.0 COMMERCIAL DOOR OPERATOR TO A MyQ ACCOUNT 1. Login to your LiftMaster 5. Follow the directions on the screen to Learn the Commercial Door Operator to your account. You will need to press and release the Radio button located on the inside of the Commercial Door Operator. 2. Once logged in, you will be prompted to add a new device. 6. After the Commercial Door Operator has been added to your MyQ account, you will be prompted to name the device (default name is Commercial Door Operator). 3. To add a Commercial Door Operator, select Add To: Place. 7. The Commercial Door Operator has been added to your MyQ account. 4. Select Commercial Door Operator. 4

5 HOW TO ADD A REMOTE LIGHT CONTROL (model 823LM or 825LM) TO A MyQ ACCOUNT 1. Login to your LiftMaster 5. Follow the directions on the screen to add your Remote Light Control to your You will need to press and release the Learn button located on the side of the Remote Light Control. 2. Once logged in, you will need to select the + icon in the upper right. 6. After your Remote Light Control has been added to your MyQ account, you will be prompted to name the device (default name is Remote Light). 3. Select the location to which you would like to add the Remote Light Control. 7. Your Remote Light Control has been added to your 4. Next, select Remote Light. 5

6 HOW TO SET MyQ ALERTS (RULES) 1. Login to your LiftMaster MyQ account. 4. Select the device to add the alert to (Commercial Door Operator or Remote Light). 2. Once logged in, select the menu bar in the upper left corner. 5. Name the alert, modify the settings and select Save. 3. Select Rules from the drop-down menu. 6. The alert will be saved to your 6

7 HOW TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL INTERNET GATEWAY TO YOUR ACCOUNT 1. Login to your LiftMaster MyQ account. 4. Enter the serial number for the new Internet Gateway (located on the bottom of the Internet Gateway). Select the Submit icon. 2. Once logged in, select the + icon located in the upper right corner. 5. After the Internet Gateway is registered to your MyQ account, you will be prompted to name the location and select Save. 3. Select Add To: New Place. 6. You will be prompted to add new devices to your second Internet Gateway. Please follow instructions to add a Logic 5.0 Commercial Door Operator (page 4) or Remote Light Control (page 5) to a 7

8 HOW TO REMOVE DEVICES FROM A MyQ ACCOUNT 1. Login to your LiftMaster 4. Select the device you want delete by selecting the red icon on the right of the device name. 2. Once logged in, select the menu bar in the upper left corner. 5. You will be prompted to confirm deletion of the device. Select Yes and the device will be deleted. 3.
