3 IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES Improvements Portal MotionPro client detection (ID: 73063&73064&73128) By employing the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme, the system now supports the MotionPro client detection function on the portal page. This function allows the system to detect whether the MotionPro client has been installed on the client PC. Administrators can enable the MotionPro client detection function on the login page or the welcome page by clicking the prelogin or postlogin radio button for the MotionPro Client Detection parameter in Site Configuration > Portal > General Settings > Common Settings > Advanced Settings under the virtual site scope via WebUI. Note: If the client security or the Hardware ID function is enabled, the configuration of the MotionPro client detection function will be ignored and the system will detect whether the MotionPro client has been installed on the client PC before login. To support this function, the following commands are added: portal motionpro detect <prelogin postlogin> This command is used to configure the MotionPro client detection function on the portal page. This function allows the AG appliance to detect whether the MotionPro client has been installed on the client PC. If this command is not configured, the system will detect whether the MotionPro client has been installed on the client PC on the welcome page. show portal motionpro detect This command is used to display the setting of the MotionPro client detection function on the portal page. Portal desktop registration (ID: 72902&72928&72598&72720&73057) By employing the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme, the system now supports the portal desktop registration function. This function allows end users to register their PCs within the internal network as their portal desktop resources on the welcome page by clicking the Register Local PC button. To use the portal desktop registration function, administrators should first enable the DesktopDirect Integration function by selecting the Enable DesktopDirect Integration check box and specify the integration mode by specifying the Integration Mode parameter of Site Configuration > Portal > DesktopDirect under the virtual site scope via WebUI. Then administrators can enable the portal desktop registration function by selecting the Enable Desktop Registration check box of Site Configuration > Portal > DesktopDirect Array Networks, Inc. 4 To use portal desktop registration function, the end user needs to install the MotionPro client first. To support this function, the following command is added: portal desktop register <on off> This command is used to enable or disable the portal desktop registration function. When this function is enabled, end users can register PCs as their portal desktop resources on the welcome page by clicking the Register Local PC button. The registered local PC will be displayed in the DesktopDirect resource list. By default, this function is disabled. Optimizing the Japanese logout message (ID: 73335) The Japanese logout message has been optimized. Optimizing the installation process of the Web-launched MotionPro client (ID: 72824) The installation process of the Web-launched MotionPro client has been optimized. Fixes The MotionPro client failing to connect to VPN when the outside proxy was configured (ID: 73337) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme was used and the outside proxy was configured via the IE browser, the end user failed to connect to VPN using the MotionPro client. This issue has now been resolved. MotionPro client failing to automatically connect to VPN after upgrade (ID: 73334) Previously, when the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme was used, after the upgrade of the MotionPro client, the end user needed to refresh the page and click the Connect button to connect to VPN. This issue has now been resolved. Now, the MotionPro client automatically connects to the VPN after the upgrade from MotionPro client In addition, the Japanese translation for the VPN is connecting prompt message was improper. This issue has now been resolved. Improper Switch to Legacy Theme action link displayed in the download page for MotionPro client and autolaunch function failing to work (ID: 73333&72828) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme was used, the Switch to Legacy Theme action link displayed in the download and login page for the MotionPro client 2017 Array Networks, Inc. 5 was not accurate. In addition, the autolaunch function failed to take effect. These issues have now been resolved. No error message displayed if the changed password failed to meet a LocalDB password-checking policy (ID: 73137) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme was used, and password-checking policies were configured for LocalDB accounts, if the password inputted by the end user when changing the LocalDB account password failed to meet a password checking policy, no error message was displayed. 6 KNOWN LIMITATIONS Virtual Site The alias virtual site not supporting the client security function when the MotionPro HTML5 portal theme is activated (ID: 73805) With the MotionPro HTML5 portal theme activated, the alias virtual site cannot support the client security function. AAA Limitations of new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme The MotionPro HTML5 portal theme has the following limitations: The SMS authentication method is not supported. The certificate authentication method is not supported. The AAA rank function is not supported. The multi-factor authentication is not supported. Access Method [Network Access] Prerequisites for the outside proxy to work (ID: 73302) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme is used and the outside proxy is configured, to connect to VPN using the Web-launched MotionPro client, end users need to: Select Tools > Internet Option > Connection > LAN Settings in the IE browser, click the LAN Settings button in the LAN Settings area. In the prompted LAN Settings window: Select Use the Proxy Server for LAN check box in the Proxy Server area. Click the Advanced button. In the prompted Proxy Server Setting window, add the IP to the Exception area. Select the Skip the Proxy Server of the Local Address check box. If the Use Automatic Configuration Script check box in the Automatic Configuration area is selected, the address parameter can only support the format and cannot support the file:\\ or ftp:// format. Select Tools > Internet Option > Security > Local Intranet in the IE browser, and click the Sites button. In the prompted Local Intranet window, uncheck the Include All the Sites not using the Proxy Server check box Array Networks, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 6

7 For the Firefox browser or other browsers other than IE, Chrome or Edge, the system or IE proxy needs to be set in order for the VPN function to work. Web Portal The portal desktop registration function failing to work if the end user installs an earlier version of Web-launched MotionPro client (ID: 73578) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme is used, the portal desktop registration function cannot work if the end user installs an earlier version of the Web-launched MotionPro client. Client Security Virtual sites on ArrayOS AG 9.3 versions not supporting the client security function when the MotionPro HTML5 portal theme is imported (ID: 73771) With the MotionPro HTML5 portal theme activated, virtual sites on the ArrayOS AG 9.3 versions do not support the client security function. DesktopDirect Assigned remote desktops not displayed after the upgrade of the MotionPro client (ID: 73303) When the new MotionPro HTML5 portal theme is used, if an end user installs an earlier version of Web-launched MotionPro client, after the end user clicks the Connect button on the Welcome portal page, the assigned remote desktops will not be displayed after the upgrade of the MotionPro client. To access the remote desktops, the end user needs to disconnect from the VPN and connect to VPN again. Others The MotionPro HTML5 Portal supporting only several browsers Currently, the MotionPro HTML5 Portal is supported only by the newest IE, Firefox, Chrome and Edge browsers. Limitation for the Firefox browser (ID: 72582) For FireFox 55+ browsers to support the MotionPro HTML5 Portal, after installing the MotionPro client via the Firefox for the first time, end users need to close the browser and open the browser again to access the remote desktop resources Array Networks, Inc.
