The comlete gland seal assembly can be relaced without draining down the system. Straight valve attern Angle valve attern RA-N valves are used for two-ie heating systems together with liquid filled RTW sensors or gas filled sensors in the RA 000 range. RA-N valves are fitted with a kv limiting device for re-setting of max. water flow. Each valve body is sulied with a red rotective ca, which can be used for manual regulation during the construction hase. In order to avoid deosition and corrosion the comosition of the hot water must be in accordance with the VDI 0 guideline (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure). It is recommended that formulations containing mineral oil are avoided. A comrehensive range of comression fittings for PEX, AluPEX, coer and steel tubes are available - lease require secial data sheet for Danfoss comression fittings. The rotective ca must not be used as a manual shut off device. A secial manual shut off device is available as an accessory. System Presetting The resetting values of RA-N valves can be adjusted easily and accurately without the use of tools (factory setting = N): Remove rotective ca / thermostatic sensor Find reference mark Lift and turn setting ring until the aquired resetting aligns with the reference mark. 2 Presetting can be selected in stes from to 7. At setting N the valve is fully oen. This setting can be used as a flushing osition, if the system has to be flushed out because of dirt roblems. In one-ie installations, the setting N must be used. Settings outside to 7 and N should be avoided. As with any device which imoses a ressure dro in the system, noise may occur under certain flow/ressure conditions. To ensure quiet oeration, maximum ressure dro should not exceed 0 to kpa. Valve body. k v -nozzle The radiator thermostats consist of the thermostatic elements of the RA 000 series and the valve body RA-N. The element and the valve body are ordered searately. A claming band with Allen screw ensures a simle, firm connection between element and valve body. The gland seal of the valve can be changed in oeration, i.e. with water and ressure on the system.
