Connct powr supply plug (DS-7604NI-EV1/4P) or AC cord (DS-7608NI-EV2/8P) to th NVR. 2. Connct NVR to LAN using Cat 5 cabl. 3. Connct vido monitor(s) to NVR using HDMI and/or VGA cabls, as appropriat. 4. Connct mous to USB port (wirlss mous can b usd in liu of includd mous). 5. Connct to audio I/O using RCA connctors. 2 START THE NVR 1. Plug powr cord into 110 VAC outlt (surg supprssor is rcommndd). 2. Turn powr switch on. Powr indicator LED will turn grn to indicat unit is starting. 3. Aftr startup, powr indicator LED will rmain grn.

First-tim accss ruirs usr to crat an admin password. 2. Input th sam password in th Crat Nw Password and Confirm Nw Password txt filds. Strong Password REQUIRED Password must contain 8 to 16 charactrs, combining numbrs, lowr and uppr cas lttrs, and spcial charactrs. At last two typs of th abov-mntiond charactrs ar ruird. Also, rst password rgularly. 3. Click OK to sav password and activat dvic. DESCRIPTION Password is fwr than 8 charactrs, contains only 1 charactr typ, is th sam as th usr nam, or is th mirror writing of th usr nam. Password contains numbr + lowrcas lttr or numbr + upprcas lttr and is at last 8 charactrs. Password contains 2 typs of charactrs (nithr numbr + lowrcas lttr nor numbr + upprcas lttr) and is at last 8 charactrs. Password contains mor than 3 charactr typs and is at last 8 charactrs. NOTE: If you forgt your pattrn, click on Forgot Password to display th normal admin login dialog box. Log In (Unlock Pattrn) 1. Draw th unlock pattrn to unlock systm. Log In (Dialog Box) 1. Usr Nam fild will b prfilld with admin. 2. Input Password (account will lock to prvnt accss for 30 minuts if svn incorrct password attmpts ar mad). 3. Click OK.

6 6 SET CAMERA PORTS Aftr assigning th IP information, click th Mor Sttings tab. Th Mor Sttings tab contains th ports that nd to b forwardd for rmot accss. SERVER PORT is rsponsibl for th mobil app and clint softwar log-in. HTTP PORT is rsponsibl for Wb browsr log-in. RTSP PORT is rsponsibl for vido/audio straming. NOTE: Th HTTP port, srvr port, and RTSP can b changd, if dsird, to avoid conflicts with th ISP or if multipl dvics ar installd at a singl location. 7 SET UP PORT FORWARDING Port forwarding rdircts communication from on addrss/port numbr to anothr to mak srvics on a protctd ntwork availabl to hosts on an xtrnal ntwork. 1. Log into th routr, and procd with port forwarding. Port forwarding stps diffr by routr. For port forwarding assistanc, contact your Intrnt Srvic Providr (ISP) or routr manufacturr. 7 8 SET UP HIK-CONNECT P2P CLOUD SERVICE NOTE: Us th Hik-Connct mobil app (from ios App Stor or Googl Play) to crat a Hik-Connct P2P Cloud account to connct Hikvision dvics ovr th Intrnt. S th DS-7600NI-EVx/xP Sris Usr Manual. 1. Enabl Hik-Connct P2P on th NVR. 1). Go to Main Mnu > Systm Configuration > Ntwork > Platform Accss. 2). Chck th Enabl chckbox. 3). Srvr Addrss must b dv.hik-connct.com. If not, chck th Custom chckbox, and typ dv.hik-connct.com. 5). Click th Apply button. Status will chang to Onlin (if all sttings ar corrct). 6). Not th Srial Numbr and Vrification Cod shown hr (for us whn rgistring th NVR in your Hik-Connct account) or us th QR cod displayd. 2. To s a dvic s vido stram on th Hik-Connct or ivms-4500 mobil app, add th dvic. 1) Login to Hik-Connct mobil app with your usr nam, -mail, or mobil numbr and password. 2) On th Hom scrn, click th + button (uppr right cornr). 3) Entr th dvic s information. If you hav th dvic s QR Cod: Us th QR Cod Scannr to scan th dvic s QR Cod. If you do not hav th dvic s QR Cod: Entr th dvic information manually: a. Click th Edit (pncil) icon on top right cornr. b. Entr dvic srial numbr (dvic must b onlin), thn click th OK button. c. Whn th dvic appars on th Rsults scrn, click th Add button. d. Entr th dvic s 6-charactr Vrification Cod (all uppr cas), thn click th OK button.. Click th Finish button.

8 9 ADD IP CAMERAS 1. Right click a window in Liv Viw mod to display th mnu. 2. Click Mnu to display Mnu choics. 3. Click Camras Stup to display th Add Camras window. 4. Add camra(s) as follows: Hikvision Camra Connctd to Unit s PoE Port Will automatically b addd to an NVR camra channl (Dx) and will b visibl on th camra list in whit within two minuts. Hikvision Camra Connctd to th Ntwork but Not Unit s PoE Ports Will automatically b dtctd and displayd at bottom of th camra list in yllow. Must b addd to an NVR camra channl manually: 1) Click an unusd camra channl s Dx chckbox. 2) Click th EDIT (Pncil) button to display th Edit IP Camra window. 3) Us pull-down mnu to chang Adding Mthod from Plug and Play to Manual. 4) Entr th camra s IP addrss and othr information as ruird. 5) Prss th OK button to add th camra. Go to MENU > RECORDING CONFIGURATION > SCHEDULE. 2. Choos CONTINUOUS or EVENT/(MOTION DETECTION) undr th Typ pull-down mnu. 3. Us cursor to slct (days will turn blu [continuous] or yllow [vnt/motion dtct]) or dslct (days will turn gray [off]) th calndar days you wish to rcord. 4. Apply tim sttings as dsird. 5.
