4 INSTALLATION Th location must b dry, dust-fr indoor us. Th accptabl tmpratur rang at full powr is -25 C to +50 C. A highr ambint tmpratur will limit th powr, s diagram first pag. Th powr supply is not watrproof. Kp it dry and away from aras of high humidity to avoid th risk of lctrical shock and damag to th chargr. Th quipmnt may b installd ithr vrtically or horizontally. If chargr is installd vrtical so that cabl plat is down, thn th floor and all blow chargr must b nonburning matrial. If matrial typ blow th chargr is unknown, thn vrtical assmbling position is prohibitd. To nsur sufficint vntilation, lav approximatly 10cm fr spac to both nds of th unit. NOTE! Do not cut output calbs. If cabls ar cut, th output voltag is ovrcompnsatd as much as voltag drop in cabls was. This ovrcompnsation may caus voltag variation dpnding on currnt consumption. Turn th powr on by turning th switch to th I position. During th normal powr supply opration / charging procss th STATUS light will show a constant orang light. To avoid sparking, turn th powr off bfor disconncting th cabls. 6 ANALOG CONTROL MODELS, typ numbr xampl ADC4370/24AI Analog control option allows full control for output currnt and voltags and it givs masurd valus for both of ths. Thr is also availabl +5V intrnal powr sourc for logic us. Th analog input hav 500V lctrical insulation to powr supply s input and output. PIN CONFIGURATION, MODULAR CONNECTOR Intrfac to analog control card is mad through AMP Modular 6 connctor. Ovr 5V string is not allowd. Logic for string is positiv so 5V in targt valu mans maximum valu from powr supply and 0V mans minimum output. If controlling connctor is unpluggd from modular connctor, th powr supply taks it s minimum valus for output. Masurd valus can b rad from masurd signals. Masurd voltags ar scald qual as targt valus. If powr supply lis on it s voltag rfrnc, thn masurd voltag should b qual as targt. Sam thing on currnt string and it s masurd valu. Masurd signals (both togthr) can b loadd only 20mA or propr opration is not guarantd. Modular connctor is isolatd from powr supply s input, nclosur and output trminals. That allows srial and paralll connction to sparat powr supply s so that qual string voltags ar usd. Numbr or connctd dvics ar not limitd. Only b sur that 500V insulation voltag is not xcdd. If connctor in analog card is not a modular connctor (9 pin D-connctor), it is a diffrnt vrsion of analog controlld powr supply and this manual is not valid to it. Connction xampl, using intrnal +5VDC powr sourc and xtrnal potntiomtrs: +5V output can b usd to fd logic voltags for xtrnal circuits. Connction in an xampl works as a potntiomtr controlld powr supply. It is important to notic that +5V output is not allowd to load mor thn 20mA or propr opration is not guarantd. Tuning instructions: Attntion!!! Analog intrfac is tund in a factory bfor it is dlivrd to customr. Thr should not b any rason for tuning if card is usd btwn 0-5V voltag valus. Qualifid prson is ndd for tuning th dvic. Tuning can b don with a pair of digital multi mtrs and xampl schmatic abov. Procdur is following: 1. Adjust from potntiomtrs 5V to voltag targt and 2V for currnt targt. Connct digital voltag mtr to powr supply output. Tun from Voltag St trimmr maximum output voltag to right valu. 2. Connct digital voltag mtr to Modular pin numbr 5. Tun from trimmr Voltag Mas so that digital voltag mtr shows always qual valu as is in pin 3 (targt voltag). If mor currnt is ndd adjustabl Mastr powr supply can b paralll or sris connctd via digital bus to Slav powr supply which quals Mastr but is without adjustmnt possibility. Th hol of th cod switch Th adjustmnt can b chckd as follows: Short-circuit th output cabls of th chargr (output short circuit). Connct th chargr to th powr lin. Follow th Status-ld color. Switch th chargr on from th on/off switch. Count all th numbr of grn blinks. Thr must b as much numbr of blinks as th cod switch position numbr is. Not!
