Bing a powrful, full faturd and softwar only iscsi Targt SAN solution, that can quickly convrt xisting Windows computr into IP SAN. Storag mdia of iscsi Targt can includ xisting storag dvics such as th ntir hard disks or partitions, CD RWs, taps and USB storag dvics, as wll as disk imag fil or CD imag fils including ISO9660(,iso),.bin,.mdf,.cdi,.b5i,.nrg,.ccd,.sub,.img,.raw and othr imag fil formats. Furthrmor, istorag Srvr also supports a lot of faturs such as: VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) targt, snapshots, STPI, RAID 1 and failovr, ths faturs ar vry important and poplar in storag industry world and mak istorag Srvr is suitabl for any siz of businss. 4 Install ESX Srvr You nd a srvr running ESX Srvr. ESX Srvr must first b installd on to a suitabl machin that will b usd to crat th virtual nvironmnt. For larning how to obtain or install VMwar ESX Srvr, plas contact th VMwar supplir. Configuring on istorag Srvr1 Choos th Authntication Mchanism Dcid which authntication mchanisms you would want to us: Anonymous, CHAP, IP addrss or Mixd authntication. 1) Anonymous: All initiators will gt full accss prmission without any authorization rquird. 2) CHAP (Challng handshak authntication protocol) All initiators nd to spcify a CHAP usr and scrt to connct to th targt. istorag Srvr has a built in usr calld Gust, which is usd for initiators without CHAP scrt spcifid. 3) IP Filtrs All initiators will b authorizd by th incoming IP addrss dfind by IP Filtr rols. 4) Mixd Scurity policy is dtrmind by both CHAP and IP Filtrs. 8 Choos Standard Imag Fil. Prss th Nxt button to continu. Spcify imag fil path and siz.

9 Choos Crat a nw imag fil to crat a nw imag fil or choos Us xisting imag fil if you hav on. Spcify imag fil full nam path. Spcify th dvic siz. 11 Typ a targt nam in th Targt Nam fild. Chck Enabl multipl initiators with full accss connctd (sharing and clustring). Prss th Finish button to continu. Configuring on istorag Srvr2 Crat Targt Opn istorag Srvr Managmnt Consol.

12 Launch th istorag Srvr managmnt consoll, prss th Crat button on th toolbar, th Crat Dvic Wizard is shown. Slct dvic typ

20 Chck th KrnSaf.ESXTargt storag and click Edit to find th mirror targt.

21 Input th IP and port of srvr2 in iscsi Sourc tab, thn click Discovry on th bottom of th window to find th mirror targt, choos th KrnSaf.ESXTargtpartnr in th down list. Prss OK button to continu. Not: If th targt nds CHAP authorization, you should provid Usr nam and scrt to logon. Th mirror targt will b addd to th window, thn click Nxt button to continu.

22 Now, th mirror targt should b synchronizd to th bas targt, if th two targts ar both th nw on and do not b initializd, w can choos Crat mirror dvic without synchronization (Manual Initialization), othrwis, w must choos Crat mirror dvic with full synchronization from bas iscsi targt.
