4 INSTALLATION Th location must b dry, dust-fr, and indoors. Th accptabl tmpratur rang for opration is -2 C to +45 C. A highr ambint tmpratur will limit th currnt supply. CAUTION: Th chargr is not watrproof. Kp it dry and away from aras of high humidity to avoid th risk of lctrical shock and damag to th chargr. Th quipmnt may b installd ithr vrtically or horizontally. To nsur sufficint vntilation, lav approximatly 1 cm of spac around all air in- and outlts of th chargr. Do not covr th quipmnt. POWER SUPPLY / CHARGING OPERATION Ensur that th unit is switchd off and that th nvironmnt mts th conditions dscribd prvious sction Connct th output cabls to th load / battry trminals: + cabl to th + trminal and - cabl to th - trminal. Turn th powr on by turning th switch to th I position. During th normal powr supply opration / charging procss th STATUS light will show a constant orang light. To avoid sparking, turn th powr off bfor disconncting th cabls. 6 OPTIONAL ANALOG CONTROL VERSIONS, ISOLATED Analog control option allows full control for output currnt and voltags and it givs masurd valus for both of ths. Thr is also availabl +5V intrnal powr sourc for logic us. Th analog input hav 5V lctrical insulation to powr supply s input and output. PIN CONFIGURATION, MODULAR CONNECTOR Intrfac to analog control card is mad through AMP Modular 6 connctor. Masurd signals (both togthr) can b loadd only 2mA or propr opration is not guarantd. Modular connctor is isolatd from powr supply s input, nclosur and output trminals. That allows srial and paralll connction to sparat powr supply s so that qual string voltags ar usd. Numbr or connctd dvics ar not limitd. Only b sur that 5V insulation voltag is not xcdd. If connctor in analog card is not a modular connctor (9 pin D-connctor), it is a diffrnt vrsion of analog controlld powr supply and this manual is not valid to it. Adjust from potntiomtrs 5V to voltag targt and 2V for currnt targt. Connct digital voltag mtr to powr supply output. Tun from Voltag St trimmr maximum output voltag to right valu. 2. Connct digital voltag mtr to Modular pin numbr 5. Tun from trimmr Voltag Mas so that digital voltag mtr shows always qual valu as is in pin 3 (targt voltag). 3. Connct digital currnt mtr to output so that it short-circuits th output. Now tun currnt targt potntiomtr to 5V. Tun from Currnt St trimmr output currnt to valu that is maximum valu for dvic according to it s spcification. B sur that your currnt mtr has a right rang. Do nvr xcd th currnt valus that ar spcifid for th dvic. If spcifid valu is not known, tak a contact to distributor. 4. S th currnt cod switch position of th unit. S nw switch position cod from th programmd output voltags stickr on th unit Rotat th cod switch to th rquird position. Cod switch Th adjustmnt can b chckd as follows: Short-circuit th output cabls of th chargr (output short circuit). Connct th chargr to th powr lin. Follow th Status-ld color. Switch ON th chargr from th on/off switch. Count all th numbr of grn blinks. Thr must b as much numbr of blinks as th cod switch position numbr is. Not! If th position of th cod switch is O, Status-ld blinks only onc and rturns to rd. Th cod switch positions A F rspond numbrs 1 15 Now th chargr has bn adjustd! HINTS IF NOT SUCCEED You didn't hav chanc to count th numbr of blinks => You can start th tst with th on/off switch of th chargr again and count. You hav mad th wrong stting => Switch th chargr off again and mak th corrct stting and count th blinking to chck. You cannot find th rquird charging algorithm on list availabl => Contact th sllr / importr and ask if th chargr can b updatd with th algorithm you nd.
