1 This document provides an overview of the enhancements included in the targeted April 3, 2011 launch of ProviderLink. For additional information on a specific feature or screen, click Help on the menu bar on any screen in ProviderLink or visit the Covisint ProviderLink Support site at: Detroit Medical Center Printable Laboratory Order form Detroit Medical Center Universal Laboratory has several providers who use a 3 rd party EMR to send them electronic Laboratory Orders and they requested Covisint create a standardized printable Laboratory Order form. By creating this new standardized Laboratory Order form it creates efficiencies in lab processing. The provider is able to complete the Laboratory Order in their EMR and electronically send it to Covisint who then converts the HL7 ORM_R01 to the DMCUL Laboratory Order form that includes bar codes in PDF format using ProviderLink. Then the PDF form is sent to a local printer where the nurse can add the bar code labels to the specimen containers then add DMCUL Laboratory Order form to the carrier package. LA Medicaid PCF0A eform added to the Forms Library The LA Medicaid PCFOA eform is used by facilities to submit Medicaid claims to the state of Louisiana. This form is used for submitting Retrospective Reviews. LA Medicaid PCFOA eform includes: By default, the form supports 5 days of Clinical Information, but if more an Add another (day) is available. Utilizing a counter on text areas to manage entry, which prevents you from entering more information than can be displayed on the completed PDF version of the eform. To complete the updated LA Medicaid PCFOA eform: 1. Go to the Main Window screen (i.e., Patient List view) and click on the patient name in the Patient column. 2. When the Patient Information screen displays, click Documents on the menu bar. 3. When the Documents Folder screen displays, click eforms on the menu bar and select LA MEDICAID PCFOA from the drop down list. 4. When the LA Medicaid PCFOA eform displays: a. Complete the Clinical Information section for each day requesting Retrospective Reviews, which has the following: i. Date ii. Vitals including BP, Temp, Resp, HR, O2 Set iii. Location iv. Nutrition/Diet v. Labs Include Date CX Draw vi. IV Medications/IV Fluids Include Frequency of IV PRN Meds vii. Comments/Treatments/Oxygen Include Medications or treatment changes and discharge plans Note: You must type, not cut and paste, the text into the text area for the counter to count down. Page 1

3 5. To preview the PDF version of the eform: a. Click Format on the menu bar and then select PDF from the drop down list. b. When the File Download window opens, click the Open button. The PDF version of the LA MEDICAID PCFOA opens in a separate window. Figure 2 LA Medicaid PCFOA PDF version Page 3
4 Enhancement and Fixes Patient Documents Window The default window display size has been increased in order to see all the documents even if there is only a couple. 1. Go to the Patient Information screen, on the menu bar click Send Message. The Create Message screen 2. On the Create Message screen, to add an attachment click Browse button 3. The Patient Documents will open in a new window. Forms Designer Forms Format Text option The text format option now opens in a new window. 1. Go to the Patient Information screen, on the menu bar click Documents. The Document Folder(s) screen 2. On the Document Folder(s) screen, on the menu bar click eforms and select an eform that was created using the Forms Designer tool. 3. Complete the form, on the menu bar click Save. On the menu bar click Format, and click Text. 4. The eform will open in a new window displaying the information in text format. IE 8 Issues Resolved Document Folder screen the Help button now displays the Help information Add WorkLists screen the Save button on the menu bar will save the changes Edit WorkLists screen the Save button on the menu bar will save the changes Facility Contact Information screen the Help button now displays the Help information Patient Documents Attach File The newly attached document can now be viewed. 1. Go to the Patient Information screen, on the menu bar click Documents. The Document Folder(s) screen 2. On the Document Folder(s) screen, on the menu bar click Add Document and select from the drop down list Add a File. 3. Enter the Document Name and then click Browse button to add a document from your system. 4. Choose a document and click Save. 5. On the Document Folder(s) screen, click the Name of the document you just added. 6. The document will open in a new window. Distribution List The maximum number of contacts for a single distribution list is 500. When the 501st contact is added, the user will now see a message The maximum number of contacts is 500. If you need more than 500 contacts, please create another distribution list. The Add button is also disabled. Page 4
5 1. Go to the Main Window screen, on the menu bar click Setup. The View Main Facility Information screen 2. On the View Main Facility Information screen, on the menu bar click Customizations and select Distribution Lists. 3. Either select an existing Distribution List or create a new one by on the menu bar click New. 4. To add contacts, click the Add button. The Facility Lookup screen 5. On the Facility Lookup screen, enter desired search criteria and then click Search. The Search Results screen 6. On the Search Results screen, check one or more contacts then click Save, Select All or Unselect All. 7. Continue until the Distribution List has more than 500. User Information Screen When the Administrator deselects the Display user information on the My administrator page checkbox then click Save, the change will stay unchecked. User Registration Phone number New user s phone number information in a non-standard format being sent to ProviderLink was causing an error for Facility Administrators to associate them to the facility. ProviderLink will now default the phone number format to: Report Documents Received by Mailbox Modifications to how the report generates has improved the response time for facilities that receive a large number of documents on a daily basis.
