5 MOTOROLA Q SYNC SETUP STEP BY STEP GUIDE

6 Fully charge the phone Turn on the device by holding down on the red off button. It will take seconds for the device to boot up Once the device is turned on it will display your default home screen

7 Press the dot button under the START icon. This will open up all the applications you have on your device Navigate to the Active Sync* icon and enter by pushing down on the middle section of the navigation tool. *Active Sync Icon

8 Press the dot button under the Menu option Scroll to add a server Input the LAUSD server address: ( Mail.lausd.net)

9 Scroll down to the next field Make sure there is a check marked in the box next to This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection Press Next

10 Input your user name (Single sign on name, do not enter lausd.net) Input your password (Single sign on password) Input your domain. (lausd.net)

11 If numeric values are used in the password the shift key must be pressed each time a numeric value is entered Check the save password box. (This box is just under domain information.)

12 Press Next Check the boxes that you want to synchronize (Contacts, Calendar, , Tasks) Press Finish

13 SYNCING Press the Sync button. This will start syncing your , calendar, contacts and task to the device. This may take several minutes You will now be asked to choose a text message path. Choose Vtext

14 You will now be asked to choose a schedule for syncing. (It is recommended you choose as items arrive ) Check the box to Send outgoing items immediately Press done Press the sync button again and you are up and running
