1 Annexure I SPECIFICATIONS FOR PROM PROGRAMMER FOR PROMS, EPROMS 1 Functional Requirements: 1.1 Should Program all PROMs, EPROMs, Micro-controllers, PALs. 1.2 Should program all process and fuse technologies. 1.3 Should support all standard manufacturers EPROMs and Micro controller especially from MOTOROLA, Intel, National, AMD, Texas Instruments, SGS Thomson, Fujitsu etc. 1.4 Should support logic memory and micro-controllers in surface mount 2 The manufacturer specific algorithms only should be used for programming. 3 Device Operations: Should support quick copy, load device, program device, verify device, sumcheck, ID test, illegal bit check, blank check, chip erase and continuity and backwards device test. 4 System Operations: Should support transfer file, configure, edit, job files, Field tally, self test, auto-calibrate, AutoBaud and Smart Port. 5 Downloading facility from following hosts: a) DOX 6,x upward versions b) WINDOWS 95/98/2000/NT 6 Gang Operation: Support for at least 8 devices programming simultaneously is must for all types of devices 7 Context Sensitive Help Menus: Should have menu driven Monitor interface for easy device downloading. Programming for all supported devices should be selectable from menu. 8 Display: Should be compatible with most ASCII terminals and PCs running terminal emulator software. 9 Input/Output: Serial RS232C (Dual port standard) 10 Diagnostics: Should have built in diagnostics and fault indication for PROM Programmer Floppy drive/cd Drive should be supported and it should be DATA I/O unisite format compatible. 12 Disk Drive: Should have the disk drives of minimum 1.44 MB 13 RAM: Should have minimum of 4 MB standard RAM upgradable to 16MB

2 14 Baud Rate: Baud Rate selectable from 1200 to 115K. 15 MISCELLANEOUS: 15.1 Spares for the PROM Programmer should be quoted separately years replacement warranty with MTTR less than one week Should be upgradable for devices likely to be available in future. Such an upgrade should be committed and indicated in terms of annual program and cost Should provide with User s Manuals and Service Manuals for all the modules with the circuit diagrams.

3 Annexure III SPECIFICATIONS FOR PROM PROGRAMMER FOR PROMS, EPROMS, PLDs & MCs 1 Functional Requirements: 1.1 Should Program all PROMs, EPROMs, Microcontrollers, PALs, IFSs, FPLAs, PLDs and FPGAs. 1.2 Should program all process and fuse technologies: MOS, CMOS, ECL, bipolar, AIM, PLICE and DEAP. 1.3 Should support all standard manufacturers EPROMs and Micro-controller especially from MOTOROLA, Intel, National, AMD, Texas Instruments, SGS Thomson, Fujitsu etc. 1.4 Should support logic memory and micro-controllers in surface mount (including PLCC (20 to 84 pins), LCC, SOIC) and PGA packages including standard DIP packages (of 28, 40, 48, 68 pin). 2 the manufacturer specific algorithms only should be used for programming. 3 Device Operations: Should support quick copy, load device, program device, verify device, sumcheck, ID test, illegal bit check, blank check, chip erase and continuity & backwards device test. 4 System Operations: Should support transfer file, configure, edit, job files, yield tally, self test, autocalibrate, AutoBaud and SmartPort. 5 Gang Operation: Support for atleast 8 devices programming simultaneously is must for all types of devices including DIP, PLCC, PGA packages. Programming facility for up to 32 DIP devices (up to 32 pins) will be an added advantage. 6 downloading facility from following hosts: a) VAX/VMS 5.0 and upward versions. b) UNIX (SVR 4.x and SVR 3.x) on different workstations. c) DOS 6.x upward versions. d) WINDOWS 95/98/200/NT 7 Context Sensitive Help Menus: Should have menu driven Monitor interface for easy device downloading. Programming for all supported devices should be selectable from menu. 8 Display: Should be compatible with most ASCII terminals and PCs running terminal emulator software. 9 It should support all the data formats supported by DATA I/O-Unisite. 10 Input/Output: Serial RS232C (dual port standard)

4 11 Diagnostics: Should have built in diagnostics and fault indication for PROM Programmer floppy drive/ CD Drive should be supported and it should be DATA I/O unisite format compatible. 13 Disk Drive: Should have the disk drives of minimum 1.44 MB. 14 RAM: Should have minimum of 8 MB standard RAM upgradable to 16MB. 15 Baud Rate: Baud rate selectable from 1200 to 115K. 16 MISCELLANEOUS: 16.1 Movable trolley for keeping the PROM programmer having anti-static protection for devices during programming Spares for the PROM Programmer should be quoted separately years replacement warranty with MTTR less than one week Should be upgradable for devices likely to be available in future. Such an upgrade should be committed and indicated in terms of annual program and cost Should provide with User s Manuals and Service Manuals for all the modules with the circuit diagrams.
