If you are using a tablet, Kindle content is available for off-line reading To redeem a Kindle book: 1. Log on to the Virtual Backpack with the assigned username and password 2. From the Virtual Backpack bookshelf, select the book to view by tapping on the book tile 3. Click the access link provided

5 5 4. You will be directed to the Amazon Sign in page. 5. Do one of the following: a. If you have an account, sign in with your and password. b. If you are a new user, tap Create your Amazon account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account registration. 6. Enter the Access Code provided in the Virtual Backpack 7. Click Go get your Gift 8. Kindle content will be added to your Kindle account and ready to view in the Kindle reader or app

Log on to the Virtual Backpack with the assigned username and password 2. From the Virtual Backpack bookshelf, select the ebook to view by tapping on the book tile 3. Click the access link provided 4. You will be directed to the VitalSource Welcome page

7 7 5. If you are new to VitalSource, follow these steps: a. Click on Create an account b. Enter your and click Next c. Enter all required information (first name, last name, security questions, password) and click Create d. You will need the Access Code listed in the Virtual Backpack. Enter the code in to the Redemption Code field e. Click Register to redeem your code f. Your book will begin to download and will be added to your VitalSource bookshelf 6. If you have an existing VitalSource account, follow these steps: a. Enter your and password and click Sign In b. Click Redeem Code c. You will need the Access Code listed in the Virtual Backpack. Enter the access code in the code field d. Click Redeem e. Your book will begin to download and will be added to your VitalSource bookshelf

Log on to the Virtual Backpack with the assigned username and password 2. From the Virtual Backpack bookshelf, select the ebook to view by tapping on the book tile 3. Click the access link provided

9 9 4. You will be redirected to the ebooks.com voucher page 5. Enter the redemption code provided in the Virtual Backpack and click Submit Voucher 6. Do one of the following: a. If you have an account, enter your username & password and click Login b. If you do not have an account, enter your and password and click Register 7. On the download instructions screen, skip step one: install ebook reader app 8. Under Step Two, click Download to Bluefire Reader 9. On the next screen, click Open in Bluefire Reader. The message Download Successful will appear If the prompt No Adobe ID registered appears, you will need to sign in with your Adobe ID To create an Adobe ID: In Safari, open a new tab. Go to accounts.adobe.com. Under the SIGN IN button, tap Get an Adobe ID. Enter the required information using your school address. Tap SIGN UP. Once the book has downloaded, tap the tab next to No Filter. Tap Books On This Device. The ebook is now available for you to view. If your school uses AR360, tap Open in AR360. You may be prompted to authorize your Adobe ID. If so, tap Authorize Adobe ID.

Enter the code listed in the virtual backpack and click Submit 6. If you are new to ClassZone, follow these steps: a. Click My Account on the top navigation pane b. Click Create a Student Account c. Click Activate Products d. Enter the code listed in the virtual backpack and click Submit

Click the access link provided 4. You will be directed to the Houghton Mifflin Download Center sign in page *if you already have the Houghton Mifflin etextbooks app on your device, skip to step 9 for download instructions!

15 15 5. Click I am a Student 6. Select the device type from the options listed to download the Houghton Mifflin etextbooks app 7. Follow the on-screen instructions specific to your device to complete the app download 8. Open the HMH etextbooks app 9. Click GET BOOKS 10. Enter the bundle code provided in the Virtual Backpack and click OK

16 The content will be added to your account Before accessing your content, you will need to download Units/Chapters of your etext Double click the title of the textbook on your bookshelf Click Download next to the unit/chapter you want to access You can manage your storage on your device by downloading and removing units/chapters as needed

You will be directed to the Pearson MyLab & Mastering home page

20 20 5. Sign in to an existing Pearson account or register for a new account 6. Enter the Course ID provided by your instructor. You will need a Course ID to continue. If you do not have a Course ID, please check with your instructor before continuing. 7. Enter the access code provided in the Virtual Backpack 8. The content will be added to your Pearson MyLab & Mastering account

Accept the terms of use by clicking Agree d. Enter your school name and click Find e. Select your school from the available options, and click Select School f. Enter the code provided in the virtual backpack, and click Activate Code g. You will receive this message when your code has been added to your account h. If your instructor has set up a course, click Enroll in a course to join your instructors class

29 29 6. If you have an existing Vista Higher Learning account, follow these steps: a. Enter your username and password and click Log In b. Under My Programs click Redeem a Code c. Enter the code provided in the virtual backpack and click Redeem d. You will receive this message when your code has been added to your account e. If your instructor has set up a course, click Enroll in a course to join your instructors class

Log on to the Virtual Backpack with the assigned username and password 2. From the Virtual Backpack, select the ebook to view by tapping on the book tile 3. Click the access link provided 4. You will be directed to the WileyPlus site

33 33 5. Enter your instructor provided Course ID. If you do not have a Course ID, enter your school name and click Find 6. Find your class on the list, and click the drop down next to the class name 7. Select the class by click on the green button in the Select column 8. Sign in to an existing account, or create a new account 9. A registration code has been provided in the Virtual Backpack. You do NOT need to purchase access. Select I have a Registration Code 10. Enter the Registration Code provided in the Virtual Backpack, and click Continue 11. Your content will be added to your WileyPlus account
